Chapter 8: Spirit & Answers

After Mango left the congee on the table Su Lan told her to come back at night to take out the dishes to wash. Su Lan also told her to not let anyone bother her since she wants to rest.

Mango: "Yes, Little Miss."

Su Lan: "You can go out, I want to rest."

Mango nodded and left.

Su Lan went and ate the congee and locked the door and windows. After she locked everything up she went back into her space to find answers to her questions. She knew the way she acted before must have caused her father and Dr. Ma to be suspicious of her.

Su Lan walked over to Pom Pom who was still sleeping on her bed and asked Pom Pom how she would find out more information. Pom Pom told her the space had a spirit that had been taking care of this space. Pom Pom said he really doesn't know anymore than that.

Su Lan: (held Pom Pom to face her) "Pom Pom where can I find the spirit?"

Pom Pom: "Woof....just tell the spirit to come out."

Su Lan: "That's it?"

Pom Pom: "Woof...that's right."

Su Lan: (stares at the space) "Come out."

Su Lan looked around and still didn't see the spirit.

Su Lan:"Pom Pom, I don't see the spirit."

Suddenly she felt something tugging her skirt on the bottom.

Mysterious baby voice: "I am here."

Su Lan looked down and saw a 3 to 4 years old toddler in front of her.

Su Lan: Sorry, you were too small so I didn't see you."

Space Spirit: (Black lines going down his forehead) "Who are you calling small!"

Su Lan and Pom Pom gave a look that says "you".

Space Spirit: "Humph! So what if I look small I am older than both of you."

Su Lan and Pom Pom: "Sure (Woof)....don't act like it."

Space Spirit: "...."

Spirit: "Why are you looking for me?"

Su Lin: "I have a few questions I want to ask."

Spirit looks at her.

Su Lin:

1) Who were her real parents? Why was she in the snowy mountains?

Spirit's answer: "Don't know."

2) Where did the adventurer who picked her up go?

Spirit's answer: "Don't know."

3) Did anyone else in the mortal realm have a cultivation body?

Spirit's answer: "No, unless that person comes from the cultivation realm."

4) How was her sword level so abnormal?

Spirit's answer: "Because she has a cultivation body, is a genius and hardworking (mutters: stubborn as a bull)."

5) Her status had magic skills but why did the people here say she couldn't learn magic?

Spirit's answer: "The original Su Lan in this world had a cultivation body so the people here can't tell if she has magic or not."

6) What is your name?

Spirit's answer: "Secret Garden's Spirit."

Su Lan: " (Ignore his muttering)... okay, based on the answers Su Lan is mostly from the cultivation realm or higher. So you don't have a name."

Spirit: "I do it called Secret Garden's Spirit."

Su Lan: "....Isn't your name to direct?"

Spirit: "Medicine god said the more direct the more memorable."

Su Lan and Pom Pom (in their mind): He was probably too lazy to make one up.

Su Lan: "You want a new name?"

Spirit: "If it's going to be one of your bad naming sense then forget it (turns his head to the side with blushing cheeks).”

Su Lan: (in her mind: so cute!!!!) “Okay, your name is Su Hai Ke (hai as in sea and ke from ke ai meaning cute).”

Spirit: My name is okay? (Hai Ke pronounced in another way means okay).

Su Lan: "No."

Spirit: "Change it."

Su Lan: "..... then Su Ling?"

Spirit: ".... and you said my name was direct. How is your name sense different (Ling means spirit)".

Su Lan: "...."

Spirit: (in his mind): Sigh... why did I have any hope she would have any naming sense? She is his (medicine god) great 50x granddaughter. 

Spirit: "Fine then Su Ling."

Su Lan: (in her mind): Why do I feel I just go look down on.

Su Ling: "Is there anything else?"

Su Lan: "Is there a way to explain my current condition to my father?"

Su Ling: "There are 3 conditions that would fit it.

Tell the truth that your spirit was split into 2 and now is combined back.

Tell them you ate some spiritual herb that causes you to be enlightened.

Tell them your poisoning causes you to have a genetic change which causes you to recover your magic ability. After recovering your magic ability you no longer feel like you are an embarrassment to the family causing you to recover your original personality.

Su Lan:".... why does it feel like you already prepared the response beforehand? Also your third explanation..why do I feel like you are calling me retarted before."

Su Ling: ".....I was bored so I thought of some response beforehand. Also the Su Lan before only had half of your soul so both of you were more likely to be emotionless."

Su Lan: "How many transmigration novels did you read?"

Su Ling: "Cough....your great (50x) grandpa's hobby."

Su Lan: "Sure, then which one should I use?"

Su Ling: "I recommend the third one so you can start learning magic."

Su Lan: "I am a Black stage level 7 sword fighter. How am I an embarrassment? If I wanted to, I can already break through to the cultivation realm."

Su Ling: "Your father doesn't know. Did you look through your memories."

Su Lan: "Sigh....the memories beside medical and sword skills, everything else is blurry."

Su Ling: "Well, your other self is a genius in some way."

Su Lan: "Seeing how she basically lived in her own little world ignoring everything else I don’t know what else to say. Alright, I will use the 3rd option but, will they understand genetic change?"

Su Ling: "It's alright if they don't understand as long as they understand you are still yourself. Also if you speak that way it is more believable."

Su Lan: "Okay, are there any books on magic?"

Su Ling: "There is, wait a second. (A pile of books pop up from a screen). Here is the list of beginner books. You can choose."

Su Lan: "There is a lot. How am I supposed to read all this?"

Su Ling: "Don't need to, open your personal information screen and d******d it."

Su Lan: "So, I don't have to memorize it?"

Su Ling: "No, you just need to try to understand it."

Su Lan picked a few and started to d******d it.

Su Lan: "What does Pom Pom eat?"

Su Ling: "Pills, spirit herbs, and beast cores."

Su Lan: "Why do I feel like I am going to go broke?"

Su Ling: "You can learn from these books, the herbs are in the garden, cauldrons are in the pill making room."

Su Lan: "Alright, (turn and look at Pom Pom) you can go eat some herbs in the garden but only the ones that have more than one."

Pom Pom: "Woof....roger."

Su Lan downloaded the alchemist books and headed back out.
