Su Lan opened her info screen and started reading her books. After understanding the basic magic books she started to practice. Taking in the elements from the air and circulate it around in her body. Afterwards gather the elements and sort it out in her dantian. Her level went up really fast after 3 hours. She was already at Green Stage level 7. What others needed 5 years to get to only took her 3 hours. Su Lan knew this was because she was a black stage level 7 sword fighter and that she had a cultivation body. Su Lan took a break and walked outside. She needs to find a place to practice her magic skills.
When she walked outside she saw Mango standing outside guarding the door. Mango walked over and asked if she needed anything.
Su Lan: "No, I am going to head to my research lab."
Mango: "Okay, is there anything you want to eat."
Su Lan: "I want some red bean bun."
Mango: "Red Bean Bun?"
Su Lan: "Never mind, just make me some pastry."
Mango: "Yes."
Su Lan walked to her research lab. After she saw her lab she wanted to say her father really pampered her. Su Lan smiled and walked in. After taking a look around she can only say the medical skills in this moral realm are very low. Considering her equipment to be most advanced but it was made very crudely. Although she was always at home before, she loved to read the medical books at her home library. She was knowledgeable on both eastern and western medicine. Her memories here also show the alchemist knowledge here. Although the medical herbs here were different from the ones on earth her secret garden had both.
Su Lan sat down on the chair and started to try out some simple magic skills.
Based on the books how the magic was formed was based on people's imagination. Su Lan starts by using light skills. She thought of a ball of light and a palm size light bulb floating on top of her hand. Su Lan then tried it with all the other elements. After she tried space magic trying to teleport an item a meter away from her. The cup she was holding ended up on the table a meter away. After doing simple experiments with her magic skills she got the hang on how to use magic. What Su Lan didn't know was people here had to take at least one year to get a basic magic right. The people here also didn't have more than one magic element; the ones that had two were considered to be geniuses. Each person will have one ball of light in their dantian even if they have 2 elements. Su Lan had a ball of each element separated in her diantian. The books she had on basic magic did teach basic magic but didn't teach her the norm here. Also because she had the medicine god’s bloodline the basic magic book given to her by the spirit was different from what others had learned. Her original self here was absorbed in her own world and didn't know the norm either.
After a while Mango knocked on the door.
Su Lan stopped and turned to the door.
Su Lan: "Come in."
Mango: "Little miss, I brought the pastries."
Su Lan: "Put it on the table."
Mango: "Yes."
Su Lan looked at the pastry and felt like her world was ending. How can that be pastry!? It looked like a clump of flour and sugar. She could tell it was hard from too much sugar that it didn't even rise. Su Lan liked pastry with less sugar since she didn't really have a sweet tooth. Her mouth started to twitch after seeing the clump of .... she didn't know how to describe it. The dark spots on it ... with one look someone could tell too much sugar was added on top that it got burned.
Su Lan turned to Mango and asked.
Su Lan: "What is this?"
Mango: "Pastries bought from the most famous Dark Pastries store."
Su Lan: "... what is the pastry store name again?"
Mango: "Dark Pastries, the most famous pastry store in his country. Not only that, it has chain stores all across the world (moral realm)."
Su Lan: "... is there only this type of pastry?"
Mango: "Yes, only this store has pastry. Master had some people line up for hours every day so Little Miss could have pastries."
Mango said all this because she knew how clueless her miss was on everything but medicine.
Su Lan: "... oh." (Su Lan thought maybe it doesn't taste that bad since it was this famous.)
Su Lan picked up a piece and took a small bite and started tearing.
Mango: "Little miss it is good right."
Su Lan grabbed the tea on the table and started chugging it down.
Su Lan: (in her mind) These are definitely dark pastries! It's like eating a hard clump of sugar. It was sweet to the point that it tasted bitter.
Su Lan: "Tell father to not buy any more pastries from now on. Tell him I want to eat something else for a while."
Mango: "Yes, little miss."
Su Lan gave her the rest of the pastry and watched as Mango went out smiling. Su Lan thought at least the food was normal but she only ate congee so far. Su Lan shivered thinking of the pastry again. She must make some of her own! Then she thought again, did people here have different preferences in the taste of food? Why did Mango look so happy to eat those literally “dark pastries”. For someone who liked light taste pastries, she felt her taste bud get killed by those “pastries”. Usually even cupcakes that were a bit too sweet were unbearable to her. She never thought the pastries here were “a clump of charcoal mixed with sugar.” Su Lan shivered and quickly grabbed her cup again, poured more tea and gulped it down to get rid of the taste. She shook her head trying to get her mind off the pastry and got up.
Su Lan (in her mind): I must find something to save my taste buds!
Su Lan thought for a while and headed over to the kitchen. She saw some similar looking ingredients but wasn't sure if the ingredients were the same as the one on earth. The chef went over to Su Lan and asked, "Little Miss, is there something you want to eat?" Su Lan: "I want to use the kitchen. You can head out and take a break." Chef: ".....Yes, Little miss." (Turns his head back every three steps to look at Su Lan). Su Lan first walked over to what looked like salt and sugar. She dipped her finger in and tasted it a bit. It was normal salt and sugar. She then walked over to the weird looking vegetable and opened her screen and started to look at all the food descriptions. She decided to make a strawberry pound cake. She grabbed the ingredients that fit the ingredients for pound cake even though it looked a bit
Lui Shan and Shun picked up the sandwich and took a bite. Their eyes light up and start eating in an elegant manner but with incredible speed. After they finished their sandwich Su Lan had only taken three bites. Lui Shan and Shun picked up their tea and drank it before trying out the pound cake. After tasting the pound cake, Lui Shan and Shun's eyes started to shine. Su Lan lowered her head and munched on her sandwich. Su Lan: (in her mind) Their eyes are so scary it looks like they want to eat someone. They definitely have a sweet tooth. Lui Shan and Shun finally stopped when there was only a piece of pound cake left. After waiting for Su Lan to finish her sandwich, pound cake and tea they both looked at her. Su Lan knew they were waiting for an explanation. Lui Shan and Shun both had taken care of her this who
Su Lan was busy with her lessons and cooking. A month after her lessons her skill with magic improved to a level that froze Liu Shan and Shun on the spot. Soon both of them got numb and thought this is Su Lan so it is normal. On this day, Su Lan was once again in the middle of her history lesson but suddenly a screen popped out. Her info screen showed a mission request. After she looked at the screen her eyebrow started to twitch. On the screen: Hello, welcome to the mysterious and unbelievable game. Since you've been given a month to adapt it is time to start the game. Mission 1 Go and make some friends outside of this manor. Get invited to their home and fin
After waiting for 30 minutes the guard finally came back with another man. The man was wearing a suit that made him look like a butler. Su Lan stepped out of the carriage and walked up to the man. When Su Lan stepped out everyone there looked at her with amazement. Su Lan blinked thinking why everyone was staring at her. Su Lan: "Nice to meet you, I am Su Lan, the daughter from the prime minister's household." Butler: "Cough... nice to meet you. The king has invited you to have an audience with him." Su Lan: "Is my father with the king currently? If they are in a meeting I can wait or can I leave my father's lunch here?" Butler: "Yes, the prime minister is currently with the
Su Lan agreed and went with everyone to the garden. When Su Lan took out her 3 tier stainless steel lunch box and large water bottle from the basket everyone looked at it curiously.King: "What is this box that holds the food? I never saw this type of ... lunch box."All takeout food was still being put on plates and then put into a basket.Su Lan: "I made this. It helps keep the food temperature for a day or so."In reality, Su Lan had purchased it online. As for how to make this she could just look it up online. The only problem was the material, machines and factory needed. She wasn't sure how to explain it. Also she had to make sure they had all the raw materials to make stainless steel. After all, stainless steel isn’t a natural resource.
The next day, after the failure to complete the mission at the castle, Su Lan decided to head to town to make friends. Not only did she fail to complete the mission but, she was given more work from His Majesty. Now she had to open a pastry and stainless steel lunch box and water bottle stores. Su Lan felt her ideal lifestyle was getting further away from her. Su Lan (in her mind): Mini Su Lan crawling on the floor towards her dream life. Tears stream down her eyes while waving a handkerchief and screaming “NO! Don’t go, come back!”. Su Lan mentions her father regarding her head to town and ends up with a bunch of bodyguards. They could only come to an agreement after Su Lan agreed to his request but have the bodyguards out of sight. She had Mango get her some merchant and commoner clothing. After she finished dressing up she got her handbag and went out.
Su Lan thought back to the system mission and pondered what to do going forward. The more she thought about it the more upset she got. She was told that her mission was just to stay alive before! Now she has to take on a weird mission that was out of character for her! Can they be more unreasonable! Only if she knew that not so far in the future her missions would be even more unreasonable. Su Lan brought up the info screen again and looked at the mission. As if the system knew what she had thought there was new information on it. Mission 1 Go and make some friends outside of the manor. Get invited to their home and find out ..... will tell you when you get there.
Su Lan glared at the pink crystal charm bracelet to a point the store owner thought she had some problems. The store manager gulped and stepped back 3 steps. Su Lan turned and looked at the store manager. The store manager tripped and fell on his bottom. Su Lan realized what type of expression she was making and quickly changed her expression back to her expressionless face. She didn't realize the store manager got even more frightened thinking how the girl who just entered was going to silence him. She looked at him like he was a dead person. First, she enters like someone owes her a million dollars and then turns to give an icy death glare. Su Lan finally spoke when she saw the store manager on the ground dripping in sweat. Su Lan (in her mind): This person doesn't
