After mom found out about me ditching detention, she really grounded me for 2 weeks. But luckily there’s dad, he helps me talk to mom about everything that happened, and hopefully, she could cut it into a week. At first, she didn’t agree but eventually after persuading her a lot of time, she agrees and cut my punishment into a week.

She told me that if this thing happened again It will be much worse. I don’t know that my mother will be this scary. Today is my first day of punishment and mom only allowed me to go to work but not hanging out. Which is suck.

I make my way to my locker and open it. I took the book that I need for the first period.

"Hey, girlie,"

"Hey," I said weakly while still taking my book out. "What’s wrong? I could smell someone is pissed." I turned to Carmen and saw her looking at me raising her eyebrows. "My mom ground me for a week."

"Why? Any reason?" turning back to my locker, I bit my lip.
