The game (Part 1)

"Aren't you guys excited for today's game?" Carmen said excitedly as we made our way inside our rival school. Julia and I shared a looked before chuckling. "You said that because you want to check out the guys right?" Julia said.

Carmen faces us while walking backward. "No, who said that. I'm here to cheer our team. Go whales!!" She shouted and people around us looked at us weirdly.

"Okay, you can save the energy for later though," I said while chuckling. I then pulled her arm. "How about you Val, aren't you excited to see your boyfriend playing?" Carmen tilt her head to face me. "Yeah, of course, I am," I reply as I shoot her a small smile.

"Aw... you two are the sweetest couple," Carmen said. The three of us head inside the gym that is now packed with a lot of people. I saw the students from our school painted their cheeks yellow and black. They also wear basketball jerseys. Same as our school rival, the leopards.<
