"Are you ready for the performance?" I ask Carmen as we walked inside the school. "You bet I am. I will show the principal that my team deserve to have the stage instead of his untalented daughter." I was going to head inside the gym to save a seat for Julia, since she said will be a little late. But I caught Tyler a few feet from where I stand. Calling out for him, he turns around looking a little surprised to see me calling him. "Hey, what are you doing here?"
