Seventy Seven

DEVAN

I was quiet on the inside, just as much as I was on the outside. We were finally leaving the hospital after how long? Days, weeks, or months? I couldn't remember anymore. I had lost count in the process.

Robb lifted the box I had brought along on the trip out of the room, grunting painfully as he stepped outside with it.

Why had I come on the trip in the first place? I couldn't tell. I had sat, stared, and wondered why, all day long, but yet no matter how long I let my thoughts fly, it all came to nought. There was no excusable reason why I had decided to come in the first place.

Robb walked into the room again, with beaming smiles. "What's going on?" I quizzed interestedly.

"A few friends have come to see you. Is that alright with you?" Robb buzzed, as I nodded hurriedly in excitement.

"Of course, Robb. Let them in." I said, as Robb pulled the door open.

"Hi, Devan." Sam mumbled, walking in with Tommy close behind him.

"Sam, Tommy..." I call
