Chapter 4

We stayed like that for a while until I recollected myself and pushed him away, making him hit buttocks on the floor. My eyes widened in surprise, I had just kissed a man I barely knew and that was because I couldn't control myself. I felt strange. What just happened? 

" What did you do to me? " I asked him, standing up from the bed as I began to panic. This wasn't a simple thing, I wasn't undergoing heat, there was no way I would have felt like that for someone I didn't even like.

" Alpha Victor, what did you do to me? " I asked again and this time around, he raised his head to look at me, his lips curved up into a devilish smirk.

" I didn't take you to be that easy, Maya. Though, being a wolfless Omega has its perks. You're not only an Omega, you're wolfless and useless and you think you could come here to act like my wife? " He asked, raising his voice slightly.

" I have told you that I was forced to come here, I had no other choice and death was the only option, " I tried to explain, but he only waved it off with a snort.

" Then, you should have died, " he said, his cold words piercing into my skin like needles. " You shouldn't have thought of being my wife nor should you have come here at all. Do you know why? Because you're going to die by my hands anyways, " he confessed, his eyes fixed on mine as he stood up from the floor.

" Why are you all telling me to die? Does that mean so little to you that you tell someone to die just to save your reputation? " I asked, tears welling up in my eyes as I held the bed stand. I knew I was trying to cause trouble by speaking back at the Alpha, but I had to try something.

" Reputation? Do you think I'm trying to save my reputation here? You're unfit to be my wife and the Luna of this Pack. You are an Omega and you have no wolf, no power. You're weak, pathetic and useless, " he spat out, his eyes filled with contempt as he took steps towards me.

" And is that my fault? Is it my fault that I was born an Omega? Is it my fault that I have no wolf? Did I beg for this type of life? " I retorted, earning a cold chuckle from him.

" That's what they all say. It isn't their fault, they were not to blame. But do you know what I always say? I don't give a fuck. Whether you asked for the life or not, the fact remains. You're weak and pathetic and I cannot let you become my Luna, " he informed me and I let out a sigh. I never even wanted to get married, let alone become a Luna.

" Then, let me go, " I pleaded, but he only smiled and shook his head. " Why not? I'm wolfless and useless, I'll be of no use here. I can't even train as I don't have the strength and power, so why don't you let me go? " I queried, not understanding why he wanted to keep me here. I wanted to be free, to travel around, stay alive, I could only do that if I was set free.

" You were given to me as a peace treaty, Maya, why would I throw away my gift? " He asked, but I could almost see the intentions behind his voice. " Rest up, we'll talk very well tomorrow, " he walked closer to me and I cowered, trying to hide myself from him, but he only held my hands a bit firmly before lifting my chin up and placing a kiss on my forehead.

As soon as he got out of the room, I bent to the floor, holding my chest as I let out a sigh of relief. I knew I was in deep shit and his actions had confirmed it for me.

" I cannot stay here, something must be done, I cannot die, " I said to myself as I stood up and began pacing around, thinking of ways I can get out of a pack I know not of its structure.

I saw the window and I walked to it, opening it. The ground wasn't that low and it was something I could jump down from. I closed my eyes, taking in deep breaths as I began to execute my mission.

I placed one leg outside the window and did the same with my other leg, using my to support myself while my legs were dangling in the air.

Now, what was left was for me to successfully jump down and run away as fast as I could. I looked up for a moment and I froze as I saw Alpha Victor looking at me, his brow furrowed in confusion as he folded his arms.

" What are you doing? " He asked and I shivered, but tried to control myself as I was in a very dangerous position. I didn't even know what to say or do

' jump and run, Maya, you can do this, ' that was what my head told me, but my body wasn't complying.

I looked at Alpha Victor again and he was still looking at me with a confused face. I decided to climb up back and beg for forgiveness, but he stopped me with his hand.

His eyes held mischievousness as he took my first hand away from the window and my eyes widened in surprise at what he was trying to do. I tried to talk, but nothing would come out of my mouth.

He took my other hands away from the window also and I went down, crashing on the floor. I tried to sit up, but it wasn't possible as I couldn't even move and my eyes got dimer each passing second until I finally slipped into unconsciousness, glancing one last time at Alpha Victor was smirking in satisfaction.
