Zorien’s POV.

‘Revenge? What for? She doesn’t even know who you are. You’ve never met until that night’

What is this? Why do I contradict myself like this? I’m thinking about things too deeply. It’s simple, I keep her with me and torment her enough until she leaves on her own accord by the time she turns eighteen.

I’ll be lucky if she leaves before then, and I get my life back again without necessarily having to undergo the punishment of rejection.

The invisible barrier I created throughout the forest comes undone once I come close in proximity. I glance above to glimpse at the full moon and drop my gaze to the stillness beneath my feet. The tree tops are thickly clustered and unmoving, soaked in unnatural darkness with a shimmering thin line cutting my territory in a zig-zag pattern from the territory of the Were-beings; the Bracken River.
