Chapter 14

Waking up in the middle of the night, I feel for Lilly but the bed is cold and empty. Sitting up startled because she's not there, I try to use the bond to feel for her.

"I'm here love, just doing some work in the office." She mindlinks me.

I get up and head towards her office. Opening the door, I see her sitting at her desk with just a lamp on. I go over and sit in a chair next to her.

"What are you working on?" I yawn.

"Now that we know who is behind the rogue deaths, I'm mapping out where he might have gone. Do you know if he has any ties to the packs around here?"

I shake my head. "No. We weren't allowed to be in the meeting room while he was there. I do remember him walking past me once talking about going up north to see a good friend though. His name was...oh what was it. Andrew? Andy?"
