The Ominous: Dawn of the Allegiance

The gunshots blew all around us as Eric Issacs ( Ying yang), Natalie Chang ( Warzone), and myself ( Maddie North, Medulla ) cover the barrage of Vanity's attacks!

" Keep calm! We got this !" Ying Yang said as the three of us took cover from the relentless soldiers.

You can end this! A sinister voice haunted me as we sat there unable to retaliate.

" We gotta do something now! " Warzone said as she generated a rifle out of her orange energy. "

Use it! Use the Anomaly.

" Are you sure you can make the shoots? " Ying Yang said.

" After two years, you're still asking me that? " Warzone responded.

You could save them! Just like you should have saved your friends and your mother!

" Stop! Get out of my head! " I muttered to myself! I clutch my head struggles to stop the voices from controlling me again.

" Medulla! If Warzone shuts down their earpieces, can you knock them out ?!" Ying yang said. His voice became a white noise in which my focus and concerns had become ignored.

I won't let these thoughts control me! Not again!

" Medulla? " Ying Yang said. " I need an answer! "

But I was unable to provide him one! These sinister thoughts were knocking at my psyche. It was a daunting mind game that I felt that I was losing.

You should give into The Anomaly Madelyn! The voice kept whispering!

You will be reunited with your father...my dear niece!

" STOP IT! STOP IT! " I screamed to myself.

" MADDIE! " Warzone said. She placed her hand on my shoulder at shook me as hard as she could.

"What ?! What happen ?!" I said as my mindset was returned to the battle.

We had split up into two teams.

Eric, Natalie, and I went to infiltrate a top-secret Vanity base to rescue two hybrids that Vanity captured.

" It happened again didn't it ?! " Warzone asked.

" Yeah! I'm sorry! " I said. " I'm up to date, promise! "

" Alright then! " Ying yang said. " Let's Go! "

Ying Yang then stood out of the debris that we had crouched behind to kneel and threw his hands in front of him. He then used his telekinesis to pull away from the weapons from the soldiers and levitated them to the ceiling away from the soldiers.

Warzone then took out her orange rifle construct and shot down each of the soldier's earpieces.

Eight soldiers in total in the damp, hollow cave had one by one lost the earpieces that blocked my telepathy from their minds.

Without them, I was able to stand up from the debris and send a psychic scream to them, rendering them unconscious.

They each fell to the ground completely incapacitated and we were able to move forward.

Before you ask why we didn't just blast straight through is a simple matter of gaining the element of surprise. Vanity had advance alien-based technology that even we didn't understand completely.

Along with rescuing the captured hybrids, we had to make sure that the tech they had was in one piece so we could study its origins.

Well, minus the earpieces we just destroyed.

" There are two hallways from here," Ying yang said as we made it to the end of the cave. " Do you know which way to go? " He turned to me.

" Yes! " I said trying to ignore the mental crisis I had earlier. " Left! I'm sure of it !"

" Okay! Let move! " Ying Yang said as he sprinted down the left hallway. "

I began to follow but Warzone pulled me back.

" Are you okay? " She asked while grabbing my arm.

" I'm fine! " I said trying to brush off the terrible thoughts I had. " Let's go !"

I ran to catch up to Ying Yang as Warzone followed.

The mental crisis you just read had been happening to me off and on ever since the team and I defeated Thorne.

For those of you who are new, it's probably best if you skim the last book! I know what your thinking! , who reads anymore? But it will make a lot more sense if you do. Trust me!

Anyway, we made it to the end of the hallway and I began to sense the presence of the other hybrids.

" Two floors above us! " I said as we ran further into the Vanity base.

But then, three bulky Vanity drones cut off our path and circled us! Each one pulling out massive revolving missile cannons. All rotating and locking on to us individually!

" Boy! I hope Adrian and the others are having more luck than us! " I said.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Ominous are attacking the forefront of the facility from the skies within their Omni-Craft.

" Hope the others are having better luck than us! ”Adrian Roderguiez ( Energygrid )said.

“Ziracco! What’s that status on Vanity’s artillery? ” Rick Ardmore ( Primal ) said.

" My scanners indicate that the mechanisms firing upon us are equipped with nano thermic energy and dispersing energy projectiles. ” Ziracco said.

" Perfect! ” Daryl Wailer ( Vicegrip ) said. ” Which pretty much means their shooting fireballs that and chases after us. ”

" Hold on gang! ” Primal said.

Then Primal turned the craft and flew it away from most of the oncoming attacks from the mechanisms firing along with them. They swiftly evaded the deadly blast and returned fire upon the machines.

" Finally you got the balls to fire back at those douches ” Vicegrip said.

" Language Vicegrip! ” Primal said. ” Besides, we are just supposed to be drawing attention from the others, not attack them alone”

" Whatever furball!” Vicegrip said. ” Just open the damn hatch! I’ll take care of those means. ”

" Ying Yang said we need to stay put until they find the hybrids,” Energygrid said.

" No offense to you boyfriend ruby girl but I didn’t elect him as leader ” Vicegrip said.

" I told you he’s not my boyfriend,” Energygrid said.

" She’s right Vice!” Primal said. ” It’s best that we stay here ”

" And sit back while you have all the fun ?! No thanks. Besides, you know I hate being stuck in the air ” Vicegrip said.

" Fine! Just be careful out there. ” Primal eventually have in and unlocked the hatch.

Vicegrip them walked towards the hatch, ready to plunge six stories above the facility.

" Try not to get yourself killed baldy !”

" I told you to stop calling me ... ah” Vicegrip shouted as she pushed him out of the hatch.

Primal gave her a judgmental stare.

" What?! We both know he can survive the landing,” she said.

He continued to stare daggers at her with a daunting presence of maturity.

" Fine! I’ll give him some backup! ” she huffed in a fit. ” Porque esta No divertidas ?! ” ( why are you no fun ? )

She flew out of the hatch after Vicegrip, leaving Primal piloting the Omni-Craft on his own.

After Energygrid left, Primal felt a slight headache. He believed it was just from being around his bickering teammates.

" Never a dull moment with those two! ” He said as he pinched his face between his eyes.

Hoping to relieve the tension and maintain his hold on the craft.

Then suddenly, I massive purple, scaled Dragon flew out of nowhere, wrapping itself around the Omni-craft.

" What the....” Primal said. ” A Dragon ?! What the hell ?! ”

He struggled with the controls but could not use his weapons. The entire ship had seemed to be jammed from the dragon’s presence.

" Systems are servilely damaged Mr. Ardmore,” Ziracco said.

" I know Ziracco! ” Primal said. ” What the hell is going on here? ”
