Ansel's POV

I got to the office that morning so bothered about Violet, she is such a hard but to crack, I wished she was a werewolf, maybe I won't be in so much fix right now.

"What a girl!!!”. I exclaimed loudly not mindful of the people around me as I head to my office.

I am the CEO of a transportation company that cut across all transportation sectors be it road, air, water and other forms of transportation, I have several branches spread across Europe too, I have built it better than how my parents left it to become one of the leading transportation company in the country.

I was so engrossed in my thoughts about Violet that I ignored all greetings addressed to me that morning as I headed hurriedly to the elevator that would take me to my office, I pressed the bell and met my best friend and Beta.

"Good morning Ansel, how was your night?", Brian greeted.

"Wad up bro", I responded trying to cheer up.

"A penny for your thoughts, cos you seem bothered", he said out of concern.

"Never mind bro, you know I will always be fine", I replied trying to dismiss his concern.

"Ok, if you say so", he said resignedly.

"How is she doing, hope she is holding up well?", he quizzed again.

I didn't answer, instead I put both hands in the pocket and looked away from him.

"Ansel, does she know who you are?", he quizzed further.

"Common Brian, I can't tell her just yet, we just met and she hasn't processed everything yet, it's too early bro", I replied immediately.

"Plus she is just getting used to me, remember?", I said as the elevator finally stopped and opened at the floor where my office is located.

"Good morning guys", Gloria my cousin greeted us.

"Hey, beautiful how are you doing?", Brian replied first with a smile on his face.

"Am fine, dear handsome, how are you holding up?", she replied him immediately.

"And you Ansel how was your night?, she greeted me.

"I hope you haven't forgotten our hangout in few days time?", she added immediately.

"Am fine Gloria and I haven't forgotten?" I replied back.

"Better, cos I may have your head for missing it", she replied with a mischievous smile on her face.

"So let's go in, we have quite alot to catch up, especially on her", she said almost immediately.

"So what's the update about the park?", I asked as we got into my large office.

"Nothing much for now, no attacks for now but that should not mean that we should be relaxed, we should still continue with the strict measures in place if we don't wanna be wiped out easily". She said with so much concern.

"You are right dear, we can't be lax these days, how about the affected ones?" I said

"Have you started taking care of them and their families?" I quizzed further.

"Yeah, I have that handled boss", she said with a smile.

"Good, so what's the update about Violet's family?", I asked with a curious look in my eyes.

"Chill lover boy, I have made inquiries, the attack was bad but I guess they will pull through and I have about four of our guys watching over the", she said facing me.

'Ok, no problem, please continue to watch them and if need be, double the numbers', I said satisfactoryly.

"I guess am done here I will leave you guys to your things, have gotten quite some things to catch up, remember I have to work also for my paycheck". She said.

"See ya", I said and Brian did the same as she went back to her office.

She is also a worker in my office, she heads my HR team and she has been so fantastic both to the company and the park.

She is very understanding and ready to do anything for me, no wonder why she is my favorite cousin.

"Ansel, I believe it's a good idea to tell her about you, she can't just bump into that fact without a prior warning or knowledge", Brian said immediately.

"It will save you further stress and headache, I believe", he said again when he got no reply from me.

"No bro, let's take it slow", I replied Brian.

"Ok bro, if you say so", he said giving up.

Brian is a light-hearted individual who hardly force his words on people, he believes in people entitled to their choices.

"Sophia has been acting up crazily these, can you keep an eye on her for me please", I requested.

Sophia Caleb was my girlfriend for years, she was my first love, a werewolf and a gamma for that matter, we were the perfect couple even though she is the very mean and nasty type, I accepted her nevertheless until she cheated with another park leader years ago.

I was so down when I discovered and still accepted her back until she I caught her after the fifth time and I decided to quit because I discovered she does not love me anymore like she use to.

"I'm so sorry, I tried to stop her but she just barged in", my secretary begged me as she came running in after Sophia dressed in a short pink gown.

"Hey love", she said as she sat and her legs on my table revealing her left tighs most especially.

"It's okay dear", I said to my secretary who looked at Sophia with disdain and left almost immediately.

"Hi Brian", Sophia greeted sarcastically but got no reply.

"Nevermind", she said fixing her attention to me

"You haven't been picking my calls lately Ansel why?", she asked.

"What do u what Soph?", I snapped back at her.

"You!", she snapped back.

"Well too late sweetheart, he can't be yours anymore and you are in our space", Brian snapped with disdain written all over his face.

"He ain't complaining or are you Ansel", she asked me.

"Well you are dear and we broke up, remember?", I replied almost immediately.

"I'm coming back", she said laughing hysterically as she left.

"Good riddance", Brian said.
