Charles discerned that Sam has a hidden meaning between her words but he could not reckon what does she mean.
He turned silent and continued to eat his meal while Sam and Harvey went on showing their affection to each other as if he does not exist.
As they were about to finish, Harvey gently wiped the edges of Sam’s mouth to remove some sauce left on it.
Charles’s eyes sore at the sight. He could not take it any longer, he excused himself and left.
After Charles left, that’s the only time Harvey informed Sam about his intention why he invited her to have lunch together.
“Sam, I’m going back to the city for a few days as I need to finish my remaining commitments before my contract ends.”
