Chapter 15
At dinner, we sat at the King's table with King Uther, Queen Chumani, Brenna and Ity. There were close to four hundred people in the dining room, sitting at tables, facing us. I felt like all eyes were on me, and they probably were. I would imagine word has already gotten around about what happened to Kayda. She probably made it sound like I wanted her out because Aidinth loved her more than me. I know that's bullshit, but it would be enough to make the kingdom hate me.
King Uther stood and said, "I would like your attention, please." After a short pause, King Uther said, "I want to let you all know that your Prince Aidinth, has found and accepted his fated mate. Please welcome, your Princess, Chloe Bergeron. Her crowning ceremony will be at a later date, but she is already your princess, because she is Prince Aidinth's fated mate; not a chosen one. Everyone applauded and King Uther held his hand up to continue.

Queen Chumani was the first to drop, then three of my guards. Trina put me behind her and was trying her best to stay conscious, but she eventually succumbed, before I started losing Consciousness. Chloe POV I was afraid that if I went unconscious, I would start feeling pain, but I didn't. There was a brief stab of unbelievable pain, then I went numb again.
