“Be right back,” Sergio whispered before walking out the room.

Serena woke up a few hours later, yawning as she stretched her arms out and curled up on the bed. Her stomach grumbled loudly.

“Hungry?” Sergio’s voice suddenly said behind her.

Serena jumped a bit in surprise and turned around to see Sergio standing right next to her bed with a plate in his hand. Sergio placed the plate on the nightstand next to Serena’s pillow and sat down on the edge of the bed facing her.

“Thank you, Sergio,” Serena said.

“What are we having?”

“Pancakes and sausages,” Sergio answered as he picked up the fork and knife from the nightstand.

“Wow, those sound delicious!”

Sergio chuckled.

“Here, try one,” Sergio said, handing Serena her plate.

After taking a bite from the pancake, Serena closed her eyes, savouring it.

“Delicious,” she murmured.
