The deal

Nyx’s Pov

The guard stood still after Caspian dismissed him, his expression was numb.

Caspian turned his head slightly, “What are you still waiting for? Can't you see I'm busy?” His expression was strong on irritation.

“I just thought…giving them the last two would not favor you and it's my job to look after you.”

“I didn't ask that from you. Just do what I asked you and stop poking.” His voice was calm and quiet, like he was holding back the urge to kill.

The man moved closer to Caspian, he didn't look at me but I saw the amusement in his eyes and he approached Caspian.

I sat quietly, managing my attention drifted away from them, with my ears strained. He leaned in, “I assume if we give out the rest of your mistresses, there'll be no one left to ease your pain.” He said in a hushed voice, but loud enough for me to hear.

Caspian didn't respond immediately, I caught the tension in his jaw. Whatever pain they were talking about wasn't something he'd like to hear.

“And I said, you should take care of it.” He finally said, “Handle it as you've always done. And nothing must go wrong or your life goes with it.”

The man nodded and headed towards the door, slipping out silently. Caspian and I were alone again. I stayed in place, frozen and still sitting on the edge of the bed they had thrown me into.

Then Caspian turned to me, his gaze was eerily uncomfortable. “Get up,” he said.

I couldn't move at first. I heard everything and pretended not to, did he catch on? What was he going to do, molest me?

He stepped closer, and lifted my chin, “Didn't you hear me? I said get up.”

I stood slowly and gently, unsure of what would come next. My demeanor depreciates to curiosity rather than the hurt I had felt in the past days.

“Take off your dress.” He said sharply,

My breath caught in my throat, “What?” I yelled loudly. “This jerk.” I thought to myself.

“What? You heard me. Take off your dress, you don't understand my language?”

“Don't you think it's wrong for you to tell me to take off my dress? That's totally inappropriate.” I protested.

He chuckled and my whole body hitched. Rage and humiliation flushed through me. They were all the same, of course. “If you want to kill me or torture me, do it. You want to make me your slave like Draven asked….”

“Draven?” He muttered.

“Yes, Draven! Why? You brought me from his pack. So, kill me if you want to. That's better than living my life as a mistress for someone who trades people like possessions.”

He scoffed, “But you are my possession.” and pressed my lips together till thin. “So, take off your clothes as I asked or I'll stop being nice.”

“Never!”

Caspian sighed and looked me in the eyes. For a second I forgot how those silver colors of his eyes scared me, but after he talked casually? They looked pretty and fierce.

He chuckled, “What kind of man would you strip for, then? The man who deceived you or the one that sold you off?”

I stayed silent, completely out of words. He won. My mind drifted to Liam for a minute, “My son.” I muttered and an excessive drop of tears filled the holes in my eyes.

Caspian rolled his eyes and tossed something at me, a folded black dress. “Change your dress.” He ordered, “Unless you'd rather walk through this pack looking like a stray.”

I hesitated, then turned my back and changed quickly. The fabric was soft and warm, expensive….I was sure. But it still felt like wearing someone else's skin..

When I turned around, he was already pulling a chair forward. He motioned to the one opposite him. “Sir.”

I obeyed, cautiously. He studied me for a moment before speaking. “Where were you born?”

I blinked. The question caught me off guard. “Why does it matter?”

“I told you. I own you now and you listen to me. So, I'm asking questions, and you're still alive which means you have to answer them!”

I swallowed. Why was he all grumpy now? And what was that about his possession? I was definitely his slave.

“Aren't you going to answer?”

“You don't even know where your bought slave was born? Do you just buy things without checking?”

“So you agree now you're my possession.”

“No! I agree I'm your slave.”

“Seriously? With that dress on you?”

“What does it matter? Why won't you just kill me?” I yelled.

He frowned, raised my chin, “And let everything I’ve been planning go to waste because of your ignorance?”

I frowned. “What are you planning? What do you want to do with me!?”

“That's not your business. Just keep in mind you're alive because of me and I'll do anything to keep it that way.”

I narrowed my eyes, “So, you're not going to kill me?”

“No,” he said simply. “I took you from Draven. That means you owe me. And you'll pay me back.”

“I don't have anything to pay back. You should just kill me now or send me back to my son.”

He scoffed, “What makes you think you have a say in this?”

“What could I possibly have to give you?” I hissed, “I'm a ripped Luna, and broken. You already have everything, except maybe self respect—just like the other Alphas.”

A dangerous smile spread on his lips. “If only you were that sharp when you were with Zade,” he said mockingly. “Maybe then you'd have understood what love is.”

I snapped, “ I won't sit here and let you laugh at me. Put me out of your twisted game.”

“What about your son? You don't want to see him again?”

I froze, his voice dipped even lower. “You'd really let your sister win? And let Zade leave you like that? You are easier than I thought.”

I shook my head slowly. “It's pointless. No one would believe me. They never have.”

Caspian leaned closer. “What if we signed a deal?”

Nyx's Pov Ryker’s face looked surprised to see me. His eyes scanned behind me quickly, like he expected someone to be with me, and then he pulled me inside without another word. “How are you here, Nyx?” he asked quietly, closing the door. I looked at him, uneasy. “I… I needed to clear my head. Is something wrong? Where’s your family? Where’s your wife and your daughter?” He guided me to the small couch in his living room. The house looked the same, but quieter. He sat down across from me, his hands trembling slightly. “They’re safe, Nyx,” he said after a long pause. “I’m just surprised to see you.” I frowned. His voice was steady, but his body wasn’t. I saw the way his fingers wouldn’t stay still, the way his shoulders stiffened like he was holding something back. “You’re lying,” I whispered. Ryker froze. I leaned forward, my heart pounding. “What aren’t you telling me? Something’s wrong, isn’t it?” For a moment, he said nothing. Then he sighed and rubbed his face with both

Nyx's Pov Leaving Caspian was the hardest thing I had ever done. And to be honest, I didn’t want to. Every part of me wanted to stay. To run back to him, to tell him that I didn’t need words, that I would settle for his silence if it meant I could keep him. But another part of me knew better. If I stayed, I’d keep second guessing everything. I’d keep wondering if his silence meant he didn’t love me. I’d keep breaking myself against walls that might never come down. So I told myself the truth. I had to leave. That night, long after the lamps had burned low, I rolled my small suitcase out of my room. The sound of the wheels on the floorboards was too loud, too final. My chest hurt with every step. The guards in the hall looked at me, their eyes wide, but none of them moved. They only bowed their heads slightly, stepping aside as if they had been told not to interfere. When I reached the bottom of the stairs, I paused in front of Caspian’s home office. The door was closed, but I

Nyx's Pov I had been waiting for him. All day, I had sat in my room, the silence pressing down on me. His voice at my door earlier had lingered, each word echoing in my head. He had said I meant a lot to him. He had said everything he did, he did because he cared. I wanted to believe him. Gods, I wanted to. But the ache inside me was too deep. My thoughts were too tangled. He didn't say the one thing I needed to hear. When I asked him that question, all I wanted was for him to tell me that he would love me. That he did love me. He had been silent and I had felt like a fool. So I had made a decision. I needed space. Not because I wanted to run, and not because I didn’t care. I cared too much. That was the problem. The feelings I had for Caspian were overwhelming. And I couldn’t tell if what he felt for me was anywhere near the same. I couldn’t stay in this house another day without clarity. I couldn’t stand in front of him, love in my chest and hope in my eyes, only to kee

  • The Perfect Revenge Of The Luna Queen    Chapter 57

Caspian's Pov The house was too quiet. It had been like that since the moment Nyx shut the door in my face the night before. I had stood outside her room for hours, talking, apologizing, begging her to answer me. She hadn’t said a single word. I thought maybe she was asleep, but when I carried food up to her door the next morning, I knew she wasn’t. I had left the tray there and walked away, telling myself to give her space. Thirty minutes later, I passed by again and found that the food was untouched. Only the tea cup was missing. Relief had rushed through me at the sight of it. At least she had drunk something. At least she wasn’t starving herself out of anger or pain. But that relief had been thin. It didn’t last long. Because the truth was I had hurt her. I told myself I had done the right thing by keeping quiet, by not letting her know how badly I bargained to bring her here. I thought silence would protect her. I thought sparing her the weight of my sins was better than

Nyx's Pov Guilt spread across his expression like a shadow. His jaw tightened, his eyes softened, but the weight in them gave me the answer I already feared. My chest felt heavy, and I swallowed hard, the words trembling in my throat. “How much, Caspian?” I repeated, sharper this time. He opened his mouth, his voice low. “Nyx…” “No.” I cut him off. I shook my head, my hands curling into fists at my sides. “Don’t call my name like that. Don’t try to soothe me. I need the truth. I need to know. I have a right to know.” His lips pressed together. For a long moment, silence stretched between us, heavy and suffocating. I could hear my own heart beating, each thud a painful reminder of the storm inside me. Finally, he exhaled slowly, his eyes not leaving mine. “When I heard what Zade had done to you,” he said quietly, “I knew I had to get to you. I couldn’t leave you in his hands. Not after what he did. Not after what Draven put you through.” My chest tightened. I forced my voice pa

Nyx's Pov The room felt like it was shrinking, every wall pressing in on me as Liam’s small face lingered in my vision. His eyes. His soft voice. The way he whispered “Mama.” It was etched into me, carved into my soul so deeply it hurt to breathe. And then Kiera stepped forward. Her heels clicked against the polished floor, her smirk pulling at her lips like she had been waiting for this exact moment. “Well, isn’t this something?” she said with a shake of her head. “You are standing here, clutching another man’s hand, while your son looks at you with those sad little eyes.” She tilted her head, feigning pity. “How could you, Nyx? How could you be such a bad mother? You abandoned him.” Her words hit sharp, slicing through the fragile wall I had built inside myself. Rage boiled hot and violent. I scoffed, shaking my head as the laugh left me bitter and raw. “You dare lecture me about being a mother, Kiera?” I hissed, stepping closer, my eyes locked on hers. “You’re one to talk. Do
