CHUCK
There was not a single second when we did not feel glad and happy because finally, the thought of bonding out together and spending a good quality time with each other has been taken into full account. We thought, this would only exist in our dreams alone. We thought, this would never happen in real life. Considering all the shit that had been taking place in the school, plus the personal problems we were facing silently, and the problems existing in each of our family, it was pretty possible to just give up this fairy tale-like dream and just focus on living a deeply messed up life. But no. At some point, Travis made it possible for us to live in those dreams. A dream of laughing and bonding beneath the sea, under the broad moonlight of the sacred and placid night. Under the stars that fortunately aligned. Under the breathe of nature. Under the silent breathe of the world.

By eleven o’clock, thirty seven minutes before exactly twelve midnight, I was so sure to conclude that Travis was already drunk and wasted. Like legitimately drunk. Pretty much similar to those drunkards you would often see in the bars during three o’clock in the morning, just right when the bar itself closes because everyone’s done with their session. But Travis, he was this one person left on the bartender’s table, drunk as hell, and could barely even stand because the world was spinning on his head, that just a simple movement would definitely trigger a nausea--that would eventually lead into a massive amount of puke.I tried to check up on him but he was like a sensitive time bomb, that a simple touch would mean great harm to everyone. He was lying on the cold and viscous white sand off the shore, six to seven meters away from the bonfire--he was, among all of us, the farthest from the fire. As much as we wanted to drag hi

RABIYA What we thought was going to be a calm, peaceful, and fine night went terribly wrong. We were awaken by a long, deafening scream--a voice of our friend Yuri shouting on top of her lungs, as if she had seen something scary that threw all the wits out of her cold and chilled body. It was five past five in the morning, the sun has yet to wake up and shine, when that alarming event took place. There was one thing that I was so sure about: I was the first person to ever hear Yuri screamed. Since I was as terrified as a frightened cat, I did not sneak out of the tent just yet. I waited for my tent mate Cylvia, our class president, to wake up, but that was extremely impossible so I was forced to shake her body until she recognized my gesture. “Cylvia, Cylvia! Do you hear that? That is Yuri shouting, right?” I asked her the moment she woke up from her deep slumber.Cylvia rubbed both of her eyes
PHILIP When our class president Cylvia entrusted to me and to Vhynz the responsibility of checking up on Travis, there was only one thing that I was so sure in my mind. We need not to fail this. Since we all woke up to the deafening screams and shouts of Yuri, our class mate who found the dead body of our friend Janvic floating on the surface of the water near the shore, the only person that came into my mind that needed protection was no other than Travis itself. Everything happened so abrupt and swift, that we did not even had at least a chance of asking or questioning Yuri what happened, and how the hell did she knew that Travis was there. But any time from now, as I and Vhynz continued our walk back to the spot where the tents were planted--where somewhere around it was Travis fallen in a deep dysfunctional sleep, I was pretty sure that Chuck and the rest of the girls there must have had started throwing questions to Yuri a
TRAVIS“Wait, who. . .Who is that?” I stuttered as I looked down to a dead body floating like an empty plastic bottle on the surface of the ocean. There were blood that was seemingly mixing with the salt water, but when I had gotten to look closer to it, I realized that it did not mix well. It was as if a petroleum trying to bond with the water when obviously, it can not. My heart suddenly began skipping rapidly. It thumped so hard against the rib cage and against my chest. I could feel it, I could feel how its strength tried to overpower my own strength. And considering my body’s situation as of the moment, knowing I was completely dazed and confused due to the hangover I got from over drinking alcohol last night, I could easily say that I was completely defeated. With my eyes as blur as a broken lens, I tried my best to recognize who’s body was it in front of us. After a few more moments, finally, I was

ANDREI Travis grouped us all into two, where each and every group had its own task to perform, all of which were very vital to the progress of our movement. The first group were merely composed of Geodie, Samantha, Cylvia, Yuri, Philip, and me. Based on the instructions of our acting leader who was Travis, we are going to be the group that will send Janvic to the nearest hospital and at the same time call the cops and bring them back here. Meanwhile, the other group which was composed of only Travis, Chuck, and Rabiya, they will be the ones that will remain here to check and investigate the place. When I asked Travis if the job was not too big for only the three of them to handle, he answered me firmly and confidently, ‘the lesser we are here, the easier the job will be.’ Well, that only made a lot of sense because it would be harder if there will be more people to stay here. The more the people will stay, the more
