It all felt the same, as if they were thrown back to the same hell all over again, only that this time it didn’t just come from above, it came from every direction.
Turning to the source of the scream, Henry’s eyes widened and his heart pounded in his chest like a trapped bird as he watched the men, humans and demons, with their bodies caught on fire, clawing at the ground as they tried to crawl forward yet couldn’t, because they were tied down but what looked like thick moving ropes.
At first, Henry thought that it was snakes, but focusing a little, he saw the continuity the strange ropes had with the soil and the trees, roots! Henry thought, the roots somehow had a mind of their own and started attacking them!
Henry's mind was back on functioning once he was able to catch the tip of the thread, he observed the barrier, then the trees, then the barrier again, noting for the first time that the forest didn't attack them nor show any sign of life and hostility, even when they attacked the newborns, until they attacked the barrier, with fire arrows at that, the fire that seemed to extinguish mid-air, could it be the one that lit up the trees? could it be that their attacks on the barrier were thrown back at them by some mysterious connection between it and the forest? This mechanism, whatever it was, seemed very difficult to decipher and so was the connection but again nothing was fully decipherable nor understandable since they got themselves into this crazy journey.Henry decided to go on with his recent, hopefully correct, assumptions,
Henry stared with fascination at the crystal castle and its unique architecture, it was large, and built directly on the forest lands without any grooves nor water streams surrounding it, it towers almost scraping the sky, the walls made of the finest crystal emerging directly from the ground without the stony base, shining with their own light, there were no signs of a gate or any windows on the castle, making it appear like a giant flawless diamond with perfect cuts, and for a second, he couldn’t believe he just gave an order to rain it down with fire and ice spears, not until they started colliding with the flawless walls.Beauty could be deceiving indeed, Henry told himself, for something so beautiful like the castle was hiding the most vicious creatures in their world, ones which manipulated them for thousands of years
Could it be someone's in the army? Henry thought looking around him, but if that was the case, then why didn’t they sense it before, could it be the place? Were the Gods playing some tricks on them, turning them on each other the way they did thousands of years ago, but before he could test his theory, a demon pointed at something lying on the crystal floor.Someone! Henry looked closely, a person lying in a pool of blood, he couldn’t see the person clearly but the silver locks were not easy to miss.Indeed, it was hard to miss! So how did they miss it the first time they walked into the whole, it almost felt as if the body was hidden behind a curtain which blocked their visions, and the only way to see what was behind it and make it
Andrea and the rest of the army stood ready, their fingers tightening around their weapons, watching as the shadows’ lord, who looked nothing like his old self, fought against something none of them was able to see, waiting for his signal, for an opening of his making to move, not many understood why did the human king leave, nor what was the shadows’ lord fighting, all they knew was that they had one last order, one which was going to end the war.Eren, on the other hand, glared at the bastard who dodged another one of his attacks, he was fast, too fast, but the shadows’ lord was only warming up, feeling his newly acquired powers itching to come out.....
Nov stared at the weird monster with a mixture of disgust and bafflement, his clear eyes studying every inch of the black creature’s body, and comparing it to the rest of the peasants he was defending. The monster surely reeked of dark energy, which meant he was a demon, even though he didn’t resemble any of the demons in the hall, he was bigger, stronger, and faster, not only was he able to see him, but also match his godly speed and dodge his attacks, also, a woman claimed he was her lord, but Nov doubted that it was the sole reason for his strength, the creature was different, and the thought filled his heart with thrill…To rule over all these creatures, to be worshiped by them all as the only God, to have them bow down at
"While the shadows’ lord fights...Ah....whatever there is, stay alarmed and prepared, there might be other enemies, once he gives you a signal, attack the shrine, don't use dark magic, only physical attacks, you must break the pillar, and crash the large recipient." Henry gave his last order before speeding out of the castle, his feet carrying him back to the forest where he last saw her, where she stood and looked at him with her red pleading eyes, begging to be believed, and all he did was look away and she was gone, he hoped she was still there, the entire island was covered in snow, his footsteps revealed a layer of ash right underneath it, there were broken trees, twigs, branches, the whole place was nothing but ruins. Was it the because of the barrier? Henry wondered, he knew that a certain connection existed between
"What do you mean by "Really"?!" Henry’s smart eyes narrowed at Eren, his face a solid mask of composure but the demon in front of him was perfectly able to hear his erratic heartbeats as he carefully contemplated the meaning behind the word."I think I need to explain everything from the start" Eren sighed before looking the human in the eye, "When I was left behind by your hypocrite ass to deal with the sea monsters alone" Henry rolled his eyes at the shadows’ lord who chuckled at his successful attempt at teasing him, grateful for he knew that the Lord only wanted to lift the heavy atmosphere."Okay! Okay! Seriously now, When I 'WILLINGLY' stayed behind, I’ve met someone, Ayartma, her name was, she was a banned second-generat
“Make love to me…” Henry felt something steering in his core, something delicious and pleasurable as he studied all the shades and emotions in her eyes, reflecting his own on their beautiful redness. There was shyness and embarrassment, passing her eyes to settle on her cheeks, tainting them with an adorable shade of pink, but there was also the confidence of a woman who knew what she wanted, what her body needed, and didn’t wait for it to be offered to her but instead reached out for it, there was the same lust and fire he was feeling, combined with love, and a need to connect with one another.Rima was never the person to lay her body and heart out, she was not good with expressing her feelings either as she never felt the need to, not on such deep levels at least, but were not the only way to express one’s self,
