When Kieran said that, the room went cold. “I don’t think you can survive what is awakening in you.”The words stayed in my head even after no one spoke again.

I didn’t answer him. I didn’t know how to.

How do you respond to something like that?

I just looked at him, trying to understand if he was serious. But his face didn’t change. He wasn’t joking.

Kai leaned back against the wall again, arms crossed. “You really know how to welcome someone, don’t you?” he said lightly.

Kael didn’t react. He was still watching me like I was a problem he hadn’t decided how to solve.

Kieran didn’t look away. “She needs to understand,” he said calmly. “I understand enough,” I said quietly. All three of them looked at me.

“I understand that I almost died,” I continued. “Twice. I understand that I have nowhere to go. And I understand that I’m here because you chose not to kill me.”

My voice didn’t shake this time.

“That’s enough for now.” For a moment, no one spoke.

Then Kael turned away. “Rest,” he said. “You’ll need it.” It wasn’t kind. It wasn’t gentle. But it also wasn’t cruel. He walked toward the door without waiting for a response.

Kieran followed him, but before he left, he paused. His eyes moved over me one last time, like he was trying to figure something out.

“You won’t be left alone for long,” he said.

Then he left.

The door closed behind them. Now it was just me and Kai. The silence felt different.

Less heavy. But still not comfortable.

Kai pushed himself off the wall and walked closer to the bed. He stopped a short distance away and looked down at me.

“You’re taking this better than I expected,” he said.

“I don’t think I am,” I replied.

He smiled a little. “You’re not crying.”

“I already did that,” I said. “It didn’t help.”

That made him pause. For a second, his expression changed. Just a little. Then it went back to normal.“Fair enough,” he said. I shifted slightly on the bed. My body still hurt, but it wasn’t as bad as before.

“Where exactly am I?” I asked.“Our territory,” he said again.“That doesn’t explain much.” He let out a small breath, like he expected that. “This place is called the Triplet Domain,” he said. “No one comes here unless we allow it.”

“Why?”

“Because we don’t trust outsiders.” I gave a small nod. That made sense.

“I’m an outsider,” I said.“You are,” he agreed. “Then why am I here?”

He tilted his head slightly, studying me again.“Because you’re not normal,” he said.“I am normal,” I replied quickly.

“You’re really not,” he said, almost amused.I looked away.“I don’t feel different.”

“That doesn’t mean you aren’t.”

I didn’t argue this time.Because a part of me wasn’t sure anymore. The room went quiet again. After a moment, Kai moved to a chair nearby and sat down, turning it slightly so he faced me.

“You should sleep,” he said.

“I just woke up.”

“You still look like you could pass out again.”

“I won’t,” I said.He raised an eyebrow.

“You’re stubborn.”

“I’ve been called worse.”

“I can imagine.”

I hesitated before asking my next question.

“What happens now?” Kai didn’t answer right away.Instead, he leaned back in the chair, thinking.“That depends,” he said finally.

“On what?”

“On you.”I frowned. “That doesn’t make sense.”“It will,” he said. “Later.”

I didn’t like that answer.But I didn’t push.

Because I was tired. Not just my body.

Everything.My thoughts felt slow. Heavy.

I leaned back slightly against the bed.Kai noticed.

“Sleep,” he said again, softer this time.I closed my eyes. But I didn’t fall asleep right away.Because my mind wouldn’t stop.

Ryan’s face appeared first. The way he looked at me.Cold. Distant. Like I didn’t matter.

Then Selene. Her voice.

“You are nothing but a mere wolfless girl.”

My chest tightened. Then the guards.

The forest. The rogues.

The feeling in my body when something moved inside me.

That part scared me the most.

Because I didn’t understand it.

And now….“You won’t survive it.”Kieran’s voice. I opened my eyes again.

Kai was still there.Watching me.

“You’re not sleeping,” he said.“I can’t,” I replied.He didn’t look surprised.

“What are you thinking about?” he asked.

“Everything.”

“That’s a lot.”

“I know.” He was quiet for a moment. Then he stood up. “Come on,” he said.I blinked. “What?”

“You’re not going to sleep like this.”

“And what am I supposed to do?”

“Walk.” I stared at him. “I can barely move.”

“You can,” he said. “You just don’t want to.”

“That’s not true.”

“Then prove it.”I frowned. “I’m injured.”

“You’re healing.”

“How do you know?”

He smiled slightly. “Because you’re still arguing.” I didn’t respond to that.

He stepped closer and held out his hand.

“Try,” he said.I looked at his hand. Then at him.I didn’t trust him.Not really.

But I also didn’t have a reason not to try.

Slowly, I moved.

Pain shot through my side, but I pushed through it.

I took his hand.He didn’t pull me up quickly. He let me move at my own pace.

It took a moment, but I managed to sit up.

Then stand.My legs felt weak.Unsteady.

But I didn’t fall.“See?” he said. “Not impossible.”I didn’t answer.

I focused on staying upright.“Slow,” he added.

“I know.”We stood there for a moment.

Then I took a step. Then another. Each one hurt. But less than I expected.

Kai stayed close, but he didn’t hold me anymore. He let me walk on my own.

We moved toward the door. “Where are we going?” I asked.

“Outside.” I hesitated.“I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

“You’ll be fine.”

“You said this place doesn’t trust outsiders.”

“They trust me.”

“That doesn’t help me.”He laughed quietly.

“It does more than you think.” We reached the door.

He opened it. Cool air rushed in. It felt different from inside. Fresh.Sharp.

I stepped out slowly. The first thing I noticed was how quiet it was.Not empty quiet. But calm. The buildings around us were strong and simple.

Everything looked… controlled. Nothing out of place. Nothing messy.

It didn’t feel like my old pack.It felt stronger. Safer. And also more dangerous.

A few people were around. They stopped when they saw me. Their eyes followed me as I walked. Just like before. But this time…It felt different. Not mocking. Not curious. Just… watching. “What are they thinking?” I asked quietly.

“That you’re weak,” Kai said honestly. I didn’t react. “And?” I asked.

“And that you’re here anyway,” he added.

I looked at him. “What does that mean?”

“It means,” he said, “you’re already more interesting than most.”

I didn’t know if that was a good thing.

We walked a little further. My steps became steadier. The pain didn’t disappear. But it got quieter. Like my body was adjusting.

Kai noticed. “You feel that?” he asked.

I nodded slightly. “Yes.”

“That’s not normal healing.” I stopped walking. “What does that mean?”

He didn’t answer right away. Instead, he looked ahead. Then back at me.

“It means,” he said slowly, “Kieran might be right.” My chest tightened. “I don’t want him to be right.” Kai’s expression softened slightly. “Doesn’t matter what you want,” he said.

“Then what does matter?”

He held my gaze. “What you become.”

I didn’t respond. Because I didn’t know the answer.

And for the first time…I wasn’t sure I wanted to know.

I stood near the window of my room, staring into the darkness outside. The Triplet territory looked calm at night, but something felt wrong now. The silence no longer felt safe.It felt like waiting.A knock sounded against the door. Before I answered, Kai walked in holding a tray of food. “You’ve been awake this whole time?” he asked. “I’m not hungry.”“That wasn’t my question.”I looked away from the window. “I don’t think I can sleep anymore.” Kai placed the tray down carefully. For once, he didn’t joke.“That scared you,” he said quietly.“The Alpha King?” I asked.“No.” His eyes met mine. “The part where Ryan said people would try controlling you.” My chest tightened slightly. Because he was right.Death didn’t frighten me the way it used to.But losing myself? That terrified me.Kai studied me for a moment before speaking again. “Kael called a territory meeting.”I frowned. “Why?”“Because your existence just became everyone’s problem.” That answer sat heavily in my stomach.Befo

The feeling came before the sound. I felt a strange tug deep inside my chest…strong enough to make me pause, but not painful enough for me to understand. It was like something invisible had reached inside me and pulled. I frowned, pressing a hand lightly against my chest.“Do you feel that?” I asked quietly.Kai, who had been leaning lazily against a tree, straightened almost immediately. His usual teasing look faded.“Yeah,” he said, eyes scanning the trees. “And I don’t like it.”Kieran stepped closer, his gaze already focused on me. “Tell me exactly what it feels like.” I tried to explain, even though the sensation was hard to describe. “It’s like… something is calling me. Not loud, but strong.”Kael didn’t ask questions. He simply shifted his stance, his body turning slightly toward the forest like he was already preparing for a threat.“Stay alert,” he said. Everything stood still. Then came the sound…footsteps, slow and steady, breaking through the silence of the trees. My heart

I thought training would make things clearer. It didn’t. It only made everything worse. “Again.” Kael didn’t raise his voice. He didn’t need to.I stepped forward. My body already knew what to do now. That was the problem.I wasn’t thinking anymore.I was reacting, and that scared me.He moved and I moved too fast. I slipped past his first move. My heart jumped.I shouldn’t be able to do that. “Don’t hesitate,” Kael said. “I’m trying not to!” “Trying is hesitation.” “That doesn’t even make sense!” “It does here.” Of course it did. Everything here made sense….Except me. I moved again. This time, I didn’t wait. I stepped in…. And reached for him.For a second…. Just one second…My hand brushed against his arm. I froze. The world seemed to stop with me. Kael didn’t move. Kai didn’t speak. Even the others nearby went mute. “…She touched him.” The whisper came from somewhere behind me.I pulled my hand back quickly like I’d done something wrong. “I didn’t mean to….”

I didn’t sleep. Not because I wasn’t tired. But because every time I closed my eyes, I felt it again. That thing inside me. Not moving. Not speaking.Just… there.Waiting. Morning came slowly. I sat up, expecting pain. But it wasn’t the same.It was lighter.Like my body had already started fixing itself. Too fast. I frowned. “That’s not normal…”“No. It isn’t.” I turned. Kael stood at the door. Watching.“How long have you been there?” I asked.“Long enough,” he said. That wasn’t an answer. “Get dressed.”Of course. No explanation. Just orders. When I stepped outside, I felt it again. The air felt… different around me.And the people…. They noticed. Some stepped aside too quickly. Some stared too long. One of them lowered his head slightly as I passed.I slowed.“Why are they acting like that?” I asked.Kael didn’t stop walking. “They’re reacting to your presence.”“My presence?” I frowned. “I’m not an Alpha.”“No,” he said.“You’re not.” That answer didn’t help.We reached the training grou

*************When I opened my eyes again, the first thing I noticed was the ceiling. It wasn’t familiar. It was a strong wooden ceiling. It was very clean, as if it were new. Not the kind of place I expected to wake up in.I blinked slowly. I was lying on a soft bed. For a moment, I thought I was dreaming. Then the pain came back. Not as sharp as before, but enough to remind me everything was real.“You’re awake.”I turned my head slightly. A man stood nearby, dressed simply, but his posture was straight and controlled.“Where am I?” I asked.“Our territory,” he replied.I frowned. “Why am I still alive?”He didn’t answer immediately. “Because they decided so,” he said instead.They. Before I could ask more, the door opened. The flirtatious one walked in first. He looked exactly the same, relaxed and unbothered.“Look who decided to wake up,” he said.I pushed myself up slightly. “You didn’t kill me,” I said.He smiled. “Clearly.”“Why?”“Curiosity,” he replied.“That’s a bad reason,
