Chapter 36I exhaled a sigh of relief, Katrina was with them. I heard Ramses exhale too, at the same time. We took the battle back to the ground, helping with an onslaught of ice shards to help weaken him while the Witches did their work. Within seconds he had rolled over on his side and his wings retreated. He was no longer a threat. The Witches spell repressed his powers and he was just a harmless man now. Kiera and Kember walked over and stood by him, ensuring that the spell worked and he wouldn’t be a threat. I turned to look at Katrina just in time to see her fall. I materialized behind her and caught her before she hit the ground. I didn’t care how it looked. I didn’t even care that Ramses was standing right there when I did it. All I cared about was her. She was bleeding from the side of her face and out of her nose. I placed my hand over her head to heal her so the blood would stop. I saw Ramses take a couple of steps back and survey the scenery. I didn’t really have time t
Chapter 37“Wow, six people huh? That’s a lot of blood, darlin.” Ramses said. I looked at Katrina to see how she would respond, I know she was really stressed about killing so many people. But she seemed fine. “I know, and I would do it again, if I had to. I wouldn’t even flinch.” She said with conviction. I was proud of her at that moment. She sounded so strong, so confident. “I am lucky to have you in my life, I don’t deserve you, darlin.” Ramses said to her. She then put her hand to her head and she looked like she was about to pass out. I refrained from running to her side because Ramses steadied her with his hand on her waist. “We should get you to bed, it's late.” He said, and he scooped her up in his arms and headed towards the bedroom. I threw back the rest of my brandy. Well, all of it really, as I hadn’t even touched it yet. Then I heard Ramses walk back out into the kitchen. “She has requested that you stay with us tonight.” Ramses said to me. I raised my eyebrow at him.
Chapter 38(Ramses)Katrina grabbed my hand and we headed towards the shower. It felt like I hadn’t seen her in ages, and I was definitely feeling it. She turned the shower on and then discarded her shorts, leaving her in just a tank top. I could see her nipples through it, which instantly made me hard. I whipped my boxers off and flashed her a million dollar smile as I watched her look straight at my erect member. I knew exactly what she was thinking, even if I couldn't hear her thoughts. I closed the gap between us and our lips met. It was like a fire erupted around us. Nothing else mattered but her and I, and this moment. It was almost like being on The Otherside made me appreciate this realm a hell of a lot more. I really missed Katrina while I was there, and it wasn’t just the sex. It was her as a whole. I just missed her. We made our way into the shower, our lips never parting. I discarded her shirt with one swift motion. I then started kissing down her neck causing her to mo
Chapter 39He had a point though, that could actually work. We would have to discard his body, but we could lock it in a coffin and let it sink to the bottom of the bermuda triangle, for all I cared. That would be the easy part. Getting him over there and then cutting the tether would be the hard part. I turned to Katrina. “What if we sent him to The Otherside via magic, then cut the tether?” I said. Her face got a concerned look on it and Kember started to protest but Katrina hushed her, which I thought was a little strange. “That could work! We can get working on a spell to send him over there!” Katrina said, and she went into a huddle with her sisters whispering about something. I wanted to turn on my Vampire hearing, but with no magic in this area I couldn’t if I tried. They were most likely just talking about the spell anyways. My brothers and I started heading towards the Witches and they stopped talking as soon as we crossed the barrier. It was a little weird but things were
Chapter 40Rowen stayed with me for the next few hours while we brainstormed other ways to get rid of Sage without killing him. “This whole fucking situation would be so much easier if we could just rip his fucking throat out.” Rowen bitched. “Trust me, brother, I know. Katrina would kill us both if that were to happen though.” I said, and he agreed. The last thing we wanted to do was piss off Katrina. That was definitely not on our to do list. Plus, if we wanted to tag team her later, there was no pissing her off. Titan laughed at my thought. “You sure you can handle tag teaming her with your brother?” Titan cackled. I rolled my eyes. How would it be any different than any other tag team with my brother?” I howled back. “Well duh, because it’s Katrina.” Titan said. I waited for him to say anything relevant, but he didn’t. “I know it’s Katrina, but why would that make any difference if we tag teamed her?” I asked curiously. I was genuinely interested in my Wolf’s point of view on th
Chapter 41Rowen didn’t say anything, but I could tell by the look in his eyes, he wasn’t here to talk. He closed the gap between us and smashed his lips against mine, taking my face in his palm while shutting the door behind us. He pushed me up against it and pinned both of my hands above my head with one hand. He caught my gaze before he started slowly tracing down my neck and chest with his free hand. His touch triggered goosebumps to sprout along my entire spine. He then followed his trace marks with an assault of kisses, causing me to gasp out loud. “Rowen, what ar…” I tried to ask him but he stopped me with another deep kiss. He pulled away for a moment and we locked eyes. I could see the passion burning in his rose gold eyes. It wasn’t just lust, it was more. It was deep… Raw, and real. It was love... Neither of us spoke, we just sat in that moment trying to wrap our heads around what we were doing. He softly kissed me. “Is this ok?” Rowen whispered against my lips. “I don’t
Chapter 42(Ramses) I had already finished getting dressed and Katrina headed into the shower leaving Rowen and myself in her bedroom. We walked out to her kitchen and we both snapped to produce brandy at the same time, laughing when it appeared and turned our respective colors, instantly, and at the same time. Of all my brothers, I was the closest with Rowen. We had been through a lot together, and I always had his back, same as he has mine. “I can see why you love her so much.” Rowen said to me. I raised an eyebrow to him. “I do love her. I have for a long, long time. But you know me, brother… Love is such a permanent word.” I said, then took a sip of my brandy. “I know, but she knows you love her. Even if you don’t say it.” He replied. “I do try and show her that, everyday.” I said. “You realize this was a first and last for her with both of us, right?” Rowen said. I nodded to him. I did know. I knew my brother well. And I could tell by his actions before we even started,
Chapter 43We went to the backyard through the tree line to Katrina's altar. From what Kiera was saying, the ritual, in order to be strong enough to stop a Pyromancer from infiltrating my mind, would have to be done by all three of the Witches at the same time. They would need to channel each other's powers since they couldn’t risk using The Ancestors. They didn’t call my other brothers, I'm sure they weren’t needed here, and they could fill them in when they arrived later tonight anyways.“Ramses, come lie down right here please.” Katrina said, and pointed to the ground between the three of them. “Calm down darlin, if you and your sisters wanted to tag team me, all you had to do was ask.” I said with a grin.I was just trying to make a joke to lighten the mood. She rolled her eyes. Kiera turned the brightest shade of red I had ever seen and looked at the ground. And Kember looked as if she were entertaining the idea.I made a mental note to entertain that idea again, at a later time.
