I looked to the door to see all of the Risen had fallen. I was sure they would not revive due to The Shadows’ magic. I checked on my brothers, and they were fine. Ramses, of course, was cracking jokes and Rowen was cracking them back. I was surprised after all of this that Rowen was in such high spirits.

He tended to be a little darker than the rest of us normally, except when he surprised us. They headed back to their homes after calling me a slew of crazy names and swearing they would never help me again.

Then I headed to Raziel’s, leaving Haven at the Necromancers castle to fend for herself. Without a leader the Necromancers had fled… Well, whatever was left of them. They might return, but their numbers would be small, so I wasn’t worried about it. There was no telling what they would end up doing but it wasn’t my concern for now.
