The cops? What are they here at this time of the day? Rose almost facepalms herself while thinking of the possibility that the cops are here just because she had thought of going to the cops earlier.

Or maybe someone had tipped them off about the bride trying to commit suicide. Rose's eyes widened thinking of the possibility that if that is the case, they're probably there to arrest her.

Damon exchanged a quick glance with the shuddering Rose who still had the duvet wrapped around herself, he gave the housekeeper a polite nod and spoke in his deep voice. “No problem Lily, let's go and see what they're up to.” 

“I'll also go with you.” Rose quickly dismantled the duvet away from her body, her beautiful off shoulder wedding gown becoming visible.

Damon felt a twist in his pants while staring at her milky and flawless shoulder, his gaze shifted to her full red lips and then down slightly to her exposed cleavage, he believed the girl was made to perfection and she was a silly excuse of a wife to torment him and she's already doing it.

He let out a frustrated sigh diverting his gaze away from her when he was almost caught, he has even forgotten what she said just now.

“What do you say?” He asked, staring at her as she gently tried to get down from the bed, the rose petals sticking to her legs.

“I want to go too, I want to see why the cops are here.” The truth is that she's really curious to know why the cops are here, and her staying in the room would deprive her of that.

“Okay,” came Damon Salvatore's short reply as he wheeled himself out of the room while Rose followed afterwards.

A frown made its way to Rose's face as she bit her lower lips in regret. The wedding dress wasn't as easy to walk in as she thought. 

Lily, the middle aged housekeeper noticed this and she asked politely. “Ma'am will you like me to help you change out of the wedding dress?” 

Rose quickly forced back a polite smile and answered back. “No, thanks. I'll change later.” If she were to go back and change now, she would miss the show.

The housekeeper nodded and they all came to the living room with Damon Salvatore wheeling himself too.

As soon as a restless guy who was pacing in the living room saw Damon Salvatore, he pointed his forefinger at Damon Salvatore and with a glare, he accused him.

“Here he is Inspector sir, arrest him. He's the one that snatched Elena and he forcefully got married to her against her wish.” 

Immediately the restless man saw Rose, he immediately moved closer to her with a smile on his face. “And here is my love Elena.”

Rose looked at the guy before her from head to toe, he felt familiar to her however right now he was mistaking her for Elena, which she's not. Rose can't help but to sigh that there's so much drama in Elena's life.

Damon watched the scene with crossed arms and an unreasonable expression and as soon as the Inspector gaze landed on Damon Salvatore, the inspector eyes widened and he quickly bowed his head in a greeting manner. “Good day Mr. Salvatore, a complaint was filed by this man however we don't actually know he's bringing us to you. We don't mean to offend you.”

“No offense, Inspector. You can do your work.” Damon Salvatore's expression was still unreadable as he gave the Inspector a go ahead nod.

Rose was instantly amazed, wow, wow, wow. It seems even the Inspector was afraid of Damon Salvatore.

The restless man before her moved closer to the Inspector and snorted coldly. “Inspector, why are you giving him so much respect? He's a cheat and he forcefully gets married to Elena against her wish. You can ask Elena, she's right she's the one who sent me a message two hours ago before the wedding that she was being forced to get married. Please take action Inspector.” 

A faint smirk made its way to Damon Salvatore's lips as he stared at Rose. This has even increased his doubt about Elena and her family, they are deceitful and cunning.

She had even texted her boyfriend two hours before the wedding so he could come and save her and when her boyfriend didn't come and the wedding happened, she tried to commit suicide.

Damon Salvatore looked strangely trying to read her, he needs to know her aim now that there's no means of getting out of this marriage.

The Inspector nodded and turned to face Rose. “Is it true ma'am that you are against this marriage and you are forced into this marriage against your will?”

Damon's gaze became fully focused on Rose, waiting for her answer because her answer will make aware of her aim.

The voice of the journalist came out from the television as she read the recent news. “Rose Oxford, the wife of Alec Salvatore cheated and got pregnant from infidelity and she committed suicide to hide her guilt. Everyone had been giving bad comments about her and even cursing her. Her poor husband couldn't take the news as he fainted and was rushed to the hospital.”

Both Damon and Rose's expressions change at the news. A frown on Damon's face while Rose's face held that of betrayal and regret.

Yes, she regret ever getting married to Alec Salvatore and maybe she'll even regret getting married to Damon Salvatore but she needs to play her card, revenge is what she has settled for and to get revenge on Alec Salvatore and Stephanie, she'll need to become his aunt. And she will use Damon Salvatore to achieve her aim.

Damon couldn't believe that his nephew's wife had really died. 

Rose quickly rushed to Damon's side and she grabbed his hands. “No, how can anyone force me to get married against my wish. Uncle Damon and I love each other and that's why we got married.”
