CHAPTER HUNDRED TWO

Ethan’s POV

When I regained consciousness, I found myself in a makeshift tent, dimly lit by a flickering lantern. The pain was still present, though dulled by the effects of the healing herbs the healers had applied. My mind felt clearer, but the weight of my responsibility as Alpha remained heavy on my shoulders.

Oliver was sitting by my side, looking worn and exhausted. His eyes met mine, and I could see the worry etched in his expression. "Boss, you're awake," he said with relief.

"How long was I out?" I asked, my voice hoarse.

"Nearly a day," he replied. "The healers have been tending to you. They say you need to rest and allow your body to heal."

When I attempted to push myself up again, a searing pain shot through my back, forcing me back onto the makeshift bed. I growled in frustration, clenching my fists as my eye began to glow a bright red, a manifestation of the anger and pain surging through me.
