Maddison's POV

“I am almost done please, just give me a minute.” I said quickly as Fernando pushed the door open.

I flinched when the door slammed against the wall, my hands began to shake and I tried so hard to keep it stable. The foundation that I was applying had shown a different shade.

I turned around and our eyes met, he was standing by the door, with a look that could kill his chest was up and down a sign that he was extremely angry.

“Since morning, why are you not ready yet?!” He barked.

“Do you even understand how important this meeting is?”

“Or are you just trying to embarrass me again?”

I gulped nervously not knowing how to answer any of the questions he threw at me.

“No..no I am not trying to embarrass you I swear I just needed to cover-”

“Cover what?” He cut me short.

“If you had behaved properly in the first place, you would not have anything to hide.” He said in a cold voice.

“I am sorry I will hurry.” I quickly apologized.

I thought that would do the work but it didn't. Instead Fernando came closer to me, my chest started pounding heavily that I found myself stiffening. I looked away from him quickly, picked up the make up brush so I could hurry with covering the bruises that were on my arms.

I gasped loudly when Fernando suddenly grabbed the back of my chair, and then he leaned forward to whisper to my ears.

“You better not ruin tonight, Maddison.” He warned and I nodded frantically.

Just then a cry came out from the outside, Fernando stepped away from me quickly, opening the door.

Liam ran inside, rubbing his eyes. “Mummy.”

Fernando sighed then walked outside of the room leaving me to calm our son down.

For those few minutes I was able to breathe properly and the silence was heavenly. I put the make up brush down then turned to where Liam was.

“Come here, baby.” I said as I picked him up, then held him close to me.

His small hands rested on my dress, he grinned as his hands moved to my glasses. I laughed adjusting my glasses back.

“It is okay.” I whispered.

“Mummy is here, everything is okay.” I whispered in his ear, even though deep down I knew that was a lie.

I finished fixing my hair with one hand while balancing him on my hip. I stared at my reflection in the mirror and forced out a practical smile.

I stepped outside when I was done, holding Liam tightly. Fernando was leaning against the car. His expression was strong as he was watching me approach.

“You took a long time.” He said as he opened the back door.

“Get in.” He ordered and I entered in without saying anything.

The drive to the hall was quiet. Liam played with my necklace, my palms were wet with sweat and my heart was beating loudly as we neared the hall.

Fernando pulled the car over when we got to the front of the pack hall, I came outside carrying Liam Fernando came around and leaned closer to me.

“Do not act funny in there, you smile when I smile, you talk only when I say it's necessary. And also you hold Liam and keep him calm if you embarrass me-”

I nodded quickly before he could finish his words. “I will not, I promise you.” I assured him.

“Good.” He nodded.

And before I could say anything else, his hand went to my back in a gentle manner, then he led us to the hall. As we walked Inside the hall the pack members started greeting him, bowing in respect and Fernando as his usual pretence smiled and responded to their greetings.

I could even hear the whispering of some of the female pack members who said they envied me, but if only they knew.

“Maddison.” Fernando called when we reached the center.

“Yes.”

“Smile, don't be shy.” He said in a sweet voice and those that were near us giggled.

I forced a smile. “Sorry I am just a little bit tired.”

Fernando then came closer, wrapped his hand around my waist then he bent slowly and kissed Liam's head. The pack members whispered again, I'm sure of the thoughts that were going through their heads.

Though like we were a perfect family, Fernando was the perfect Alpha and I had a perfect future that I did not deserve.

But I kept smiling at him. It was for my own survival. As time passed, I followed the flow of things that didn't really go because of Liam's clingy attitude.

I watched as Fernando took care of the pack matters, answering the pack associates questions.

One of them then suddenly turned to me like he recognised me from somewhere. I adjusted my glasses. His stare became intense. He was an elderly man.

“Well, Fernando.” The man said, patting him on the back.

“Beautiful family, as always your wife looks radiant tonight.”

“Thank you.” Fernando replied.

I tried not to  show any reaction but the man laughed and then looked at me. “May I have the honor of a dance with you, Maddison?”

“It has been years since I danced with someone who actually has grace.”

My heart beat nervously, I couldn't dance in front of everyone without Fernando.

“Oh.I… I cannot.” I stammered, taking some steps back a little bit away.

“I am holding Liam, and I-”

But before I could complete my statement Fernando pressed his fingers into my waist it was hard and painful that I almost gasped loudly.

“Go on.” Fernando said while smiling.

“Don’t be rude.” He added but it still didn't sit right with me.

“I..I really can’t.” I whispered.

“Please.” I pleaded but his fingers pressed harder and I winced silently.

The man sensed the tension that was going on he then chuckled trying to make the atmosphere lighter.

“Come on Maddison, it is just a little dance.” The man said and I shook my head in retort.

“Maddison do it now, I won't have you embarrassing my guest!!” Fernando growled through the link and I froze.

The hall lights seemed to be dimming , I couldn't hear a thing again.Liam shifted in my arms, like he knew that something was wrong my legs were weak my mouth went dry and my hands trembled in fear.

And the only thing that I could think of was that if I should go the only thing that would happen after.

It was my punishment.

  • The Reborn Luna   A Name That Shouldn’t Be There

Maddison’s POVI stared at the page for so long that the letters began to blur.My father’s name was written in the same faded ink as Adrian Cross’s, carefully written in the visitor’s ledger as though it were the most ordinary thing in the world. It wasn’t.My father had never spoken about Crescent Pack unless it was necessary. He kept to himself, worked quietly, and believed problems were solved through patience instead of power. Even after I became Fernando’s mate, he rarely visited the pack house unless there was an official summon. So why was his name here? And why had he visited so many years before I ever met Fernando?“There has to be a mistake,” I whispered.Rowan shook his head. “I checked the original ledger twice. The handwriting is genuine.”I reached for the file with trembling fingers. There were four entries in total, spread across several years. Each visit had been approved by the same person.Lisa.My stomach tightened. The room felt smaller than it had a moment ago.

  • The Reborn Luna   The Man in the Dark

Damian’s POVThe flashlight disappeared. For a split second, the archive was swallowed by complete darkness. The only sounds were hurried footsteps echoing through the narrow aisles and the faint rustle of old documents as someone brushed against the shelves.“Rowan,” I called quietly.“I’m on your left.”“Henry?”“Still here.”The stranger had already reached the exit.I took off after him, weaving between rows of towering cabinets that held decades of Crescent Pack records. By the time I burst through the archive door, I caught only a glimpse of a dark figure disappearing around the corner of the administration building.“Stop!”The command echoed across the courtyard, but the man never looked back.He was fast—not like an ordinary wolf trying to escape, but like someone who already knew every inch of the grounds.I followed him through the empty streets of Crescent Pack. The morning sun had barely risen, leaving the roads deserted except for a few early patrols who stepped aside in

  • The Reborn Luna   The Night Grandma Cried

Maddison’s POVNobody spoke.Liam’s small finger was still pointing at the television. The image remained frozen on the screen—a grainy shot of the man Henry had called Adrian Cross.“I know him.”His quiet voice echoed through the room. Katie slowly looked at me, and suddenly it felt like all the air had been sucked from my lungs.I knelt in front of Liam, gently brushing his curls away from his forehead. “Sweetheart…” I kept my voice as calm as I could. “When did you see him?”Liam frowned, trying to remember. “A long time ago.”“At the pack house?”He nodded. “Yes.”“Was Daddy there?”He nodded again.“And Grandma?”“She was crying.”The room fell into a heavy silence.I looked at Damian. His expression had changed. He wasn’t watching Liam anymore. His eyes had that distant look they always got whenever he was piecing together a puzzle.“Liam,” Damian said gently, making sure his voice wouldn’t frighten him, “do you remember why Grandma was crying?”Liam shook his head. “No.”He lo

  • The Reborn Luna   Shadows Beneath the Stone

Damian’s POV Nobody moved. The three masked men stood at the entrance of the mausoleum, cutting off the only way out. Their weapons were raised, their movements disciplined. They weren’t ordinary rogues. They knew exactly what they were doing. The man in the middle smiled beneath his mask. “You’ve come farther than we expected, Alpha Damian.” His voice echoed through the chamber. Rowan shifted beside me without taking his eyes off them. “Want me to count them?” “There are more outside,” I said quietly. Henry glanced at me. “How do you know?” “I can hear them.” My wolf had picked up their heartbeats the moment the first man spoke. They were five in total. No… Seven. Four outside. Three in front of us. This wasn’t an ambush thrown together overnight. They had been waiting. The leader tilted his head. “You’re observant.” “You’ve been following us since we left the penthouse.” He chuckled. “We’ve been following you much longer than that.” A silence settled over the

  • The Reborn Luna   Beneath the First Luna

Damian’s POVThe mausoleum had been abandoned for almost thirty years. At least, that’s what everyone believed. The ancient stone structure sat beyond the eastern forest of Crescent Pack, hidden beneath towering oak trees and thick vines that had swallowed most of the path leading to it. Only few wolves came here. The younger generation hardly knew it existed. That was exactly why we came before sunrise. The less attention we drew, the better.Rowan drove while Henry sat in the passenger seat, studying photographs of the symbol we had found inside the pendant. Maddison and Liam remained at the penthouse under the protection of six of my best guards.I hadn’t wanted to leave them. Not after Emma had somehow reached the penthouse. But bringing Liam here wasn’t an option.Neither was bringing Maddison into unknown danger.“We’re here,” Rowan said quietly. The SUV rolled to a stop far away from the entrance. The forest was unnaturally silent. No birds. No insects.Only the wind moving thr

  • The Reborn Luna   What Emma Left Behind

Maddison’s POVI couldn’t shake the feeling that Emma had wanted me to see her.Not Fernando. Not Damian.Me.That thought stayed with me long after the alarm stopped and the penthouse settled back into an uneasy silence. No one slept again that night.Liam refused to let go of my hand. Even after he drifted off, his fingers remained wrapped around mine as though he was afraid I would disappear the moment he closed his eyes.I sat beside him until dawn, only then did I quietly slip out of the room. The penthouse was unusually busy.Guards moved through the halls with quiet efficiency while Rowan spoke into an earpiece near the entrance. Two men I had never seen before were dusting the balcony doors for fingerprints. The place felt less like a home now.It was more like a crime scene.“Morning.”I turned.Damian stood a few steps away, holding two cups of coffee. He looked as though he hadn’t slept either. There were faint shadows beneath his eyes, but his posture remained straight, ca

Maddison’s POVThe folder suddenly felt heavier than it looked.Every eye in the hall was fixed on it.Katie stood near the front now, her fingers wrapped tightly around the worn brown file. She looked nervous, but determined.Fernando was watching her closely.Too closely. The kind of look a preda

Maddison’s POVI woke up screaming. My entire body shaked violently as I gasped for air. Sweat covered my skin and my chest rose up and down painfully fast.“Liam!”The name left my lips before I could stop it.For a second I didn’t know where I was.The nightmare still clung to me tightly.Liam cr

  • The Reborn Luna   A Son Still in Their Hands
