CHAPTER 30: MEETING THE PACK 2

“We are going now. You know the way back, right?” Olivia said as she looked at Elowyn as they stood just outside of the hall as the others were making way to their respective villas.

Elowyn nodded with a smile as she looked at the kind sister.

“Thank you for accompanying me tonight.”

“No problem. It’s been a long time since we had so much fine like that,” she said but didn’t finish what was in her thoughts, ‘How could we not work hard when we are fighting for our leader’s happiness?’

Elowyn beamed as she listened to that and felt the warmth in her body increasing.

“Me too. It’s been a long time.”

“Then I am glad that we are all happy,” Olivia said chucklingly finding Elowyn very cute.

Letty smiled as well and added, “remember not to isolate yourself. You can hang out with others. If anyone bullies you, just tell us. We will deal with them.”

Elowyn grinned at Letty her eyes beaming with gratitude but still said, “I will bear that in mind and don’t worry, I will not allow anyone to bully me ever again!” not knowing that she had slipped once again.

The two ladies briefly looked at each other before looking at Elowyn.

“Good. Keep up the fighting spirit.!”

They cheered her for a while before leaving Elowyn standing there.

Elowyn watched as the two sisters left side by side, conversing with each other before looking away.

‘It’s time to go back but I need to look for Linda first. She should still be here, right?’ she thought as she craned her neck, looking around at the several groups exiting the hall.

“Elowyn!”

In the middle of doing so, she heard Linda calling out to her and her eyes lit up as she looked in the direction where the voice was coming from, which was on the other side and not the hall.

It looks like Linda had already exited. She nearly missed her.

She waved her hand at her, excitement all over her face as she called back, “Linda!” not knowing how warm her smile made those seeing her felt.

Linda jogged towards Elowyn and shortly she was with Elowyn.

“Are you settling in well?” Linda asked with a smile as she scanned Elowyn.

Elowyn flashed a grin at Linda and nodded heavily. “Um, like you said, everyone is very nice and caring. I like it here!” her words laced with sincerity, it made Linda feel very happy.

Although the caring went a bit overheard and shocked the lot of them, Aynor pack was indeed a good place to be. So, it couldn’t be considered that she lied to Elowyn, right?

“That’s good. I am happy that you are happy being here. Do you want to go back to your place, or meet a few friends? They want to meet you as well,” Linda suggested as she looked eagerly at her.

Elowyn didn’t need to think that twice and readily picked the latter.

“Let’s meet the others!” She planned to make friends this time.

This business of being too closed ended her in trouble previously. When she thought about how no one in that forsaken pack didn’t tell her anything about Hilary and Veda, when they were together for three goddamn months and even ignorantly made a wedding dress which ended up becoming nearly her burial dress. Ha, she didn’t want to experience the same thing again.

This time around, though she knew that no one would scheme against her and even if that happens, she won’t be as weak as she was several months ago. She wanted to have her own friends no matter what. She can’t always rely on the elders. They have the pack’s affair to deal with.

When Linda saw Elowyn agreeing she hurriedly opened the mental link and informed the girls who were waiting for her.

‘She has agreed. Come over here. we will send her to her place.’

‘Sure.’

‘On our way.’

After informing them, she shifted to Elowyn and said to her, “they are great girls. In the future, we can train together. We will help you!”

Elowyn was very happy to hear that. she was eager to meet everyone as well.

It didn’t take long before four girls approached the two of them and Linda didn’t waste time but introduced Elowyn to them.

“Elo, meet Tina, Wendy, Rain and Nancy. They are my friends and live next door.”

Elowyn greeted the four who were older than her and generously called them sisters which made them beam as if they have won the lottery.

The group of six slowly walked towards Elowyn’s place chatting and laughing. None of them asked Elowyn about her background but kindly shared the pack’s stories which were very helpful to Elowyn.

Knowing all that would help her integrate better.

“Alpha Kayden is single. Ever since I arrived here, I have never seen him with anyone. There are others thinking that he might be gay but who cares? We never know. His mate might be male.”

“Or do you think that its possible his mate can be among humans?”

“Who knows? Instead of thinking about hi, think about yourselves?” Linda teased as she looked at the girls who were still not mated.

“Hehe, leave me alone. I have suffered enough because of the so-called mate. I might as well enjoy this life.”

All the girls agreeing but didn’t elaborate on that. However, Elowyn who had experienced the pain of this mate nonsense had an inkling that these girls might have gone through the same as her.

It was indeed a good choice for them not to rush into getting hurt again. these men were very heartless when they want.

“But I still want our pack to have a Luna. You know the Werempics are coming. imagine attending the event without a Luna. You wouldn’t want us to be embarrassed, right?”

The girls were all troubled by that matter but Elowyn pulled them back.

“Don’t overthink. Who knows? There are still three years until the event. Miracles can happen.”

She believed that Kayden was a great man, person and a leader. He won’t be forsaken. The Luna that he will find, will be a good one and not rotten, selfish and vile like Veda.

The girls chuckled faintly when they heard that and simply took it as a cue to move to the next gossip. Nonetheless, Elowyn had a great time with the girls and learnt a lot of pack’s gossips.

Integrating would be much easier.

She couldn’t wait.
