CHAPTER 45: GIRLS TALK 2

The girls were silent for a moment, as they digested that.

Indeed, they have misunderstood what she was trying to portray but with this explanation, the girls saw the whole picture.

Bryssa looked at Elowyn after sorting out her thoughts with a serious expression and asked, “Elo, do you have any feelings for him?” without answering what Elowyn had asked earlier.

When Elowyn heard that, she was taken aback for a moment, as she wasn’t expecting such a direct question.

However, that question got her thinking about her real feelings towards Kayden.

It made her look back from the very first moment she set her eyes on him, and all the way until now.

A smile couldn’t help but form on her lips, and that reaction was worthy more than a spoken answer.

“I don’t know if its love or dependance, but I like being around him,” she started responding, the smile on her face never fading. “When I see him, I want to tease him and want him to have only me in his heart. I like hanging around him, watching him work, listening to him ……..”

Lizzy and Bryssa both looked at each other with knowing smiles upon seeing Elowyn going at it without stopping.

If that wasn’t love, then what the heck was it?

“To summarize, Elo, you have feelings for him. If he was just someone else, you wouldn’t be feeling so much for him,” after Elowyn finished speaking, Bryssa said, confirming the feelings that Elowyn was trying to go around in circles to confirm.

Elowyn couldn’t refute to that when Bryssa spoke. After all, once her mouth shut, it dawned on her that this wasn’t normal at all.

In fact, these feelings were much deeper than the ones she felt for Hilary back then, but how did they even start?

Elowyn started worrying about her heart. Love was truly a pain in the ass, it scared her.

“Elo, like we mentioned earlier, love isn’t that scary. Because of our past experiences, we shouldn’t give up on it. By closing your heart like that, you might end up losing the only chance of being with someone who loves you and you love. Don’t let that bastard to make you lose a chance. It will be like giving him a win. Don’t let that happen.

The future might be uncertain but I believe that as long as we give our all, we will never regret.

Bryssa knew that her words might sound selfish. After all, Kayden could one day be reunited with his mate, but after everything that she had seen so far. That man was a goner and everyone knew it.

Such deep feelings without the influence of the bond, were quite rare and precious.

Even if the relationship doesn’t last, at least, during that short period, you will proudly say that I once had it at all.

Of course, the choice remains in Elowyn’s hands. At the end of the day, it would be her entering the relationship and not them.

“Babe, Bree is speaking the truth and we all know it. However, I just want to add that, I have seen some couples, who aren’t mates and yet are living happily as we speak right now. It wasn’t easy for them but they managed to succumb all the obstacles. I believe that as long as that person is sincere, even if the mate appears today, he might not accept her for you. That’s what real love is.

As long as he is willing to forgo the bond with someone else and be with you. He is quite precious. However, you aren’t forced to rush into the matter. You can take your time to learn and accept your feelings.

Elowyn listened attentively to the girls’ advice and couldn’t blame them.

Bryssa usually likes taunting Kayden but hearing her defending him at this very moment, she knew that he must have painted a beautiful picture and looked decent in her eyes.

The girls didn’t pressure her after hearing her saying that. Rather they both feel relieved. At least, she was going to think about it.

Whatever the outcome, as long as she doesn’t have any regrets, it will be fine.

With the topic out of the way, Bryssa brought back the topic of the family gala and the room was filled with endless chatter and laughter.

“Will there be any drama this time?”

Elowyn scoffed as she thought about the last time, she attended the gala.

“Tche, you should see how crazy some people are!” she snorted recalling how a certain lady, ‘strained’ her ankle and fell towards Kayden while holding a glass of wine, only for Kayden to sidestep, making the lady quite a laughingstock.

Of course, the matter should have not involved her and yet she found herself unable to enjoy a single meal, simply because these ladies were throwing daggers at her.

What wrong did she do?

If the two girls heard that, they would have rolled their eyes at Elowyn.

Didn’t she understand why the females were acting like that?
