Elowyn generously waved her hand at Sara, understanding how tough it must be for this human.

“It’s not a problem. It would have been worse if we haven’t showed up. Now that would have looked like we have just diched the plan and not kept to our promise. Thank you for coming over.”

“As long as you find no fault. I am grateful.”

After Sara made her own statement, Melinda also got down to hers.

“Um, I miscalculated my period days. I was wondering if you have any extra pads or something. Anything for me to pass the night until its morning,” she shyly stated her course, and Sara finally understood why she was acting like that.

But there were other campers at the site, why not go to them but to Elowyn?

Elowyn didn’t have such thoughts as Sara. After hearing Melinda’s reason, she felt this weird emotion. It kind of reminded her of when she was still by herself in that forest, didn’t stock up on pads and then one day she found herself on her period.

Her cycle miraculous changed, taking her by surprise. Those few days were quite horrible. Because her period had always been on the painful side before turning twenty-one, Elowyn couldn’t go to town until she was done.

It was simply so awful and from that time, she learnt to keep more than five packets at a time to avoid any surprises.

And it so happens that despite not being on her period, she came with two packets, in case a surprise happens.

“Sure. Let me grab a pack for you,” Elowyn readily agreed, empathizing with her and Melinda sighed with relief.

Elowyn disappeared from the door and returned a moment later holding a sealed packet.

“You can take this and no need to give it back. I still have another pack,” Elowyn generously gave the pack to Melinda, who gratefully accepted the pack.

“Thank you very much. You really saved me!”

Elowyn chuckled as she waved her hand nonchalantly at Melinda.

“Not a problem.”

After the two got what they wanted, they bide her goodnight once again and expressed their apologies for waking her up.

“Its fine. See you in a couple of hours,” However, Elowyn didn’t take that to heart at all and send them off with a smile.

Once the two ladies had walked a few steps away, she closed and locked the door. As for the shield, the moment she went to open the door, she had it taken down.

Once she was inside, Elowyn exhaled as she mumbled out loud, “damn, that was pretty close!” her heart slightly thumping at the thought of those people coming and truly failing to find anyone.

Although the shield was in place, there was no guarantee that suspicions wouldn’t be raised. After all, while the shield make it look as if people are there, it also doesn’t stop anyone from coming closer to the site itself.

If someone like Sara, with her self-diagnosed OCD comes and knocks, wouldn’t she wait until she sees someone?

Moreover, they are sleeping in a van. How could they fail to hear someone knocking?

That would have only raised suspicions. She was glad that these women came after they arrived and after they have gotten rid of the bloodied clothes.

What if they gave smelled the bloody scent?

What were they going to say if questioned?

“Get over here and sleep!” Bryssa urged and Lizzy nodded as she added, “with this new sunrise shit, we have no choice but to rest early. Damn, couldn’t she have said that when we were at the fire? Who comes to knock at other people’s door after midnight just to get a freaking answer?”

While the girls were grumbling and preparing to sleep for the night, Melinda and Sara both went their own way.

On her way to her tent, Melinda couldn’t help but frown as she thought about something.

She couldn’t help but come to a complete halt as she turned her head to look towards the direction Sara was going and muttered to herself, “couldn’t she have just called?” finding it a bit unbelievable that a person would rather go and knock, disturbing others in the middle of night instead of making a call.

Sara and Elowyn exchanged numbers. She was there at the campfire. She could have just called.

As for her, she didn’t talk much into detail with Elowyn and her group, so numbers weren’t exchanged.

What she didn’t know was that, as Melinda doubted Sara, Sara’s face wasn’t looking pretty good as well.

“Skipping so many tents and camper vans with people you were so lovey-dovey with to go to that specific van. What little secrets are you hiding Melinda? What is the real reason that you actually went there for?”

Unfortunately, both ladies with the similar questions couldn’t sit down together and threw those questions at each other.

They could only stew with curiosity before throwing the curiosity away preparing to call it a night.

                                                                       ----****----

Meanwhile, elsewhere, standing on a cliff was a man with a scar on his eye, looking quite melancholic as he looked at the moon in the sky.

“Boss, bad news!” coming from behind, a woman’s voice sounded and the man unconsciously clenched his fist, his heart pounding loudly and ringing in his ears.

[They shouldn’t have been attacked again, did they?] and the voice in his head seemed to be having the same thoughts like him.

“What happened?” with gritted teeth, he asked, his red eyes flickering murderously, and knuckles already cracking and turning pale white.

A woman with red hair approached the man and with a lowered head, her fists clenched and looking slightly pale beneath the mood responded, her jaws clenched.

“They were all wiped out and the shipment has been …. They are all in custody,” with difficult and reluctance, the woman gave an answer.

The man’s fists cracked upon hearing that, and a low growl escaped from his lips as he coldly asked, “And him? Did he survive?”

The woman shook her head as she answered, “there was no sign of him. I am afraid that he might have run away to save his skin,” her voice lowering with uncertainty at the end.

However, the man had a different opinion as he coldly said, “or he got killed!” his eyes flickering with a murderous glint for these unruly bandits messing their business repeatedly.

Upon hearing that, the woman in red was silent for a moment before she raised her head to ask, “then, what should we do?”

The man’s murderous eyes flickered as he responded, “find them and get rid of them. And let’s start by tracking those that had been saved. We can still learn who they are, right?” a cunning glint flashing across his eyes, before adding, “If possible, check who were also close. You never know, we might find some clues.”

When the woman heard that, her eyes glimmered with reignited hope and enthusiastically responded, “I will contact our inside men, right away!” before dashing away, her body much lighter compared to what it was when she first arrived.

The man sensing her running away, he looked up to the sky and with a cold laugh mocked, “goddess, you should be very proud of yourself right now, right?”

What we can do is continue to strive to eliminate them. If possible, find the real masterminds and rid of them.”Both girls nodded to that and watched as Elowyn stripped herself clean before entering the bathroom.“I think that we should start looking into the law enforcement as well.
