A few hours later, the sun rose, and inside the small town of Aynor, the residents were busy as bees.

In this small town, there were several magnificent houses or rather villas. It was considered a luxurious town, the kind that was located in a very secluded area where unrelated people would find it very difficult to reach.

In this small town, all residents lived in one large compound. Everyone knew each other. That’s why it was a pack. But unlike the other packs out there, this pack was very unique. Otherwise, there wouldn’t be some wolf cubs playing in the sand in that corner and a woman draped in a black cloak making things float in the other.

It was a mixed pack, with several kinds of supernatural living together harmoniously, all under the rule of their Alpha, Kayden Aynor. Who is also happen to the owner of the town?

The alpha in question was currently inside his mansion, which was the largest house in the whole town. Since he had money and the resources, why not give himself the best?

He wasn’t the kind of person who would make himself suffer for no reason.

That very morning, Kayden was sighing as he looked at the photo and little information that his savior had sent him. Recalling the late-night call, he was still a bit disturbed.

It’s been more than a year since he received a call from her, and yet when he was sleeping, he got her call, and she sounded very urgent.

It was the first time that he actually heard the desperation in her voice. She was very powerful and someone he truly looked up to and yet he heard her vulnerability. Something was definitely wrong and she didn’t want him to know. Otherwise, she could have asked for his help regarding that matter and yet she didn’t do so.

Rather, she ….

[Kay, I need you to do me a favor!]

He was very nervous when he heard that, but still responded, eager to help as much as he could.

“How can I help? As long as it’s something that I can do. I am willing to use everything.”

[Thanks in advance. I have a little girl with me, and she has been through a lot. She is one of us, but I can’t say exactly what she is to protect everyone, but I believe that with time, you will be able to recognize her identity on your own.]

Listening to that, Kayden felt his heart tighten as his heart pounded. Even his wolf could hear the warning bells ringing from afar.

‘This doesn’t sound too good!’ But Kayden had ignored Caesar.

Even if the mission was dangerous. For her sake, he was willing to risk it. After all, without her, he might have died ages ago.

[I want you to take her in and make her part of your pack. She will be very helpful to you once she sorts everything out.]

“So, is that all you need me to do?”

[Not really, but help train her. Use every trick you can find to make her stronger. She should be able to fight even against werewolves. You must focus more on that. It’s very important.]

When he heard that, he had an inkling that he was about to accept a very dangerous person indeed. Hearing how his savior was emphasizing the fighting part. This girl should either be having werewolf enemies or might be facing them in the future.

Nevertheless, he still accepted. After all, it wouldn’t be his first time to accept special people like this target.

[Oh, another thing. Help her get some identification documents. She can’t use her old ones.]

And that was the final straw that made him fully accept that the mission target was truly an endangered species. He was looking forward to seeing her more.

They talked for a bit, and his savior promised to send him information that she had before the call ended.

Once the call ended, he looked at the information sent, and it didn’t make sense. After all, it was so little. It was basically nothing. It was as if his savior knows nothing about the other and his curiosity became very piqued.

However, now came the question. Who was going to pick her up?

After looking through the residents of the pack, the only person he found suitable and was around the target’s age was Linda.

She was extroverted, lively and above all very strong. If anything happens on the way, Linda would be able to take care of the target. with that matter settled, he ended up waiting for Linda and her cousins to return from the patrol to inform her of the mission.

Now that a few hours had passed, he couldn’t help but look at the information again, trying to see what he could tell Linda. So that she would know which person to pick up at the bus station later.

The picture was a bit vague, but he could see that she was pretty. Her eyes were clear, but something in those eyes made him shudder for no reason. She looked young, just like her age.

The information stated that she was twenty-one years old, named Elowyn and an orphan. As for the rest of the information, there was none. How mysterious!

Ring. Ring. Ring.

As he pondered over that issue, his phone started ringing. Without looking at it, he reached for the phone and only looked at the screen once the phone was in sight.

The moment he saw the screen, he suddenly sat straight and looked more respectful. If any of the pack members saw him right now, they would truly be shocked and taken aback.

He cleared his throat, his heart pounding like crazy, and got a mocking look from Caesar.

‘Why are you acting as if your crush is calling you?’

Kayden gritted his teeth and hissed at Caesar, “Since you know, why tease? Umph, you tease me but you can’t even find our mate. Useless!” and that managed to shut Caesar, who started brooding in a corner.

After sending Caesar away, Kayden answered the call.

“Aunt Hazel!”

[Um, child. Are you okay?]

He smiled when he heard her concern. “I am doing well, and you?”

[Can’t be any better. Anyway, I am calling to inform you that I have just put her on the train. It will take two hours to get to the other city, where she will take the bus to Sodon City.]

“Okay, thank you for informing me. I will make sure that she is picked safely,” he promised solemnly with a smile while tapping the desk.

[I will truly appreciate that. If it works out as I expect. I will come and look for her in four years. You will be attending the supernatural gala, right?]

When he heard that, Kayden froze for a moment, taking all that in.

The supernatural gala was a very important event that brought together all supernatural to the royal sacred land. It was a place that he had heard about but had never visited or seen.

But he happens to know how to get there. The pack would need to get an invitation or win one by attending local Werempics. Werempics refer to the sports event usually held a year before the supernatural gala.

All werewolves’ packs in a certain region would gather and compete against each other. The top five packs would receive invitations to attend the supernatural gala, where they could meet with royalty alongside other supernatural beings like witches, vampires, and many more, not forgetting the precious and rare kind – the seers.

At that gala, he had heard that packs, covens and the like could compete to win a favor from the ruling monarchies.

The event was also best for intermarriage opportunities, gaining resources and above all settling grievances.

It was something that couldn’t be missed. It’s just that getting there was the hard part but he couldn’t help but feel greedy at the thought of attending there. Who didn’t want to reach the top?

“I will make sure to attend!” he didn’t bother beating around the bush but made that promise.

His pack might be small but it had quality. He trusted his people so much. he would never fail.

Hazel seemed to be very satisfied with his answer. [Then I will take you on that. Let’s meet there.]

“Um, I will see you there.”

The two didn’t talk much after that. After the call ended, Kayden had a map for how he wanted to deal with the special guest, and he looked forward to meeting her.

He was going to do his best to make sure that he didn’t fail his savior.

With that in mind, he rose to his feet and left the spacious office with nothing much but an office desk, swivel chair, and a luxurious book cabinet. Not forgetting the expensive paintings on the wall with one of them being a majestic red wolf which was none other than Caesar.

How could he not have anything that proves the existence of his other half?

“Kayden!” she called out to him, and he nodded at her.Earlier, the Alpha had told her repeatedly to call him by his name without the title. Although she felt uncomfortable at first, after exchanging words a few more times, she found herself calling him like that.Perhaps she adapted pretty well because she used to call Hilary by his name as well. Especially when they were alone.Anyway, that wasn’t the crux of the matter right now. She wasn’t with Hilary anymore but with Kayden.[Doesn’t she look beautiful?] Caesar shamelessly boasted as he groomed himself, and Kayden found himself taking several sneakier glances at Elowyn. She wasn’t wearing any fancy clothes, yet she looked ethereal. His heart couldn’t help but pound.‘Beautiful!’“Um ….. um,” but that wonderful moment was disrupted when Letty cleared her throat exaggeratedly, making Elowyn’s fa

The fear, doubt and many other thoughts. He was lost, but one by one, meeting them made his life pretty much easier. They have been togethe

Elowyn was in a great mood as she looked at the villa she finally settled on after checking the other villas that were currently not in use.To think that Alpha Kayden could build so many villas for his pack members to live in, she could see the love he has for his family, and that alone made her like the man even more.Coming to the Aynor pack, Elowyn always knew that her stay was guaranteed. After all, Hazel had settled everything for her. But in that moment when she was speaking with the Alpha, she couldn’t help but want to do something for herself. She alone understood how badly she wanted this chance. She knew that the Alpha didn’t have any reason to train her or be involved with this mess. That’s why she went down on her knees to beg him for this chance. She wanted him to know her earnestness. Her looks can be deceiving, and that could be deadly. What if no one takes her seriously or simply assumes that she is delicate and couldn&r

So, I might need your details, if you don’t mind.”Elowyn readily gave them. she didn’t even need to give false information at all. however, she couldn’t help but remind him of something.“I am not sure how you will find my name written in the system. If it’s not deceased, then please just have my previous identification reissued, but if it comes out as deceased, then please use Gardner instead of Gregory as my last name,” she firmly said, taking into account that Hilary might have declared her dead. After all, she truly died in some sense that night.Kayden was curious when he heard that. After all, how could a living person be announced dead all of a sudden? So, he asked her directly.“Do you mind telling me about what happened to you? Why do you need to hide and what you want to achieve? You can choose not to say anyt

Back to the present, after Elowyn ate her food, she began to focus on Linda.“Where are we going. What is it called?”“Aynor town. It’s a private small town with a reasonable number of residents,” Linda answered cautiously.Elowyn’s eyes lit up when she heard that. She wasn’t particularly fond of bustling places. They made her feel socially awkward. She was more used to staying in secluded places. Perhaps she was influenced by her mother, who took her to stay in the woods for years before she found Hilary, who took her to stay with his pack, which resided in the woods as well.Due to their uniqueness, it was rare for packs to live amongst normal human beings. They might mingle and work with them, but to live amongst them, that would mean increasing the risk of being found out. There weren’t many people who knew about the supernatural. Whilst the leaders knew about it, normal humans had no clue. To avo
