Seeing those two leaving the station, she started following discreetly, not wanting to arouse suspicion from Lizzy.

However, as she followed the two, she couldn’t help but doubtfully think to herself, ‘That girl looks like the one I am supposed to bring back, but what is she doing with that Night Blood coven crazy hybrid?’

It just didn’t make sense at all.

The two girls stopped by a fast-food joint first where they got some fried chips, chicken and soda as takeaway. Once they were done, Lizzy dragged Elowyn to an electrics shop where she started browsing.

“Elo, which phone do you like?” Lizzy asked as her eyes darted from one phone to another.

Elowyn recalling the cash she was given, knew that she needed a phone but it shouldn’t be an expensive one. A phone is just a phone. No need to be extra.

So, she pointed at a cheaper smartphone and that got Lizzy riled up.

“Elo, we are living in a new era of advanced tech. You can’t be going for such an outdated phone!” Lizzy scolded right away upon seeing Elowyn’s choice.

Elowyn felt embarrassed when she heard that. It wasn’t like she didn’t know, but she couldn’t afford the better phones.

“I ….”

Lizzy bit her lower lip upon seeing that she might have slipped up with her words. Seeing Elowyn flushing like that, she felt a bit embarrassed. That wasn’t how friends should treat each other. Or at least in their case, new friends. With her other friends, she was even harsher.

Wanting to make it easier for Elowyn and reduce the weird tension, she hurriedly added, “I will be young the phone for you. Consider it as my gift to a new friend,” and without giving Elowyn a chance to respond, she pointed at a phone in the latest section and the staff enthusiastically took the phone out without hesitation.

Elowyn watched all that, baffled, still digesting what was happening.

Lizzy started the payment process, and as she was about to hand over her card, another card smoothly slid on the counter, making her gaze very cold.

“What are you doing?” she angrily asked the girl who had sneaked up on them without her knowing.

Linda smirked at Lizzy and responded, “There is no need for you to pay for it. I will pay for it!”

“And why should you?” Lizzy asked with gritted teeth, wondering why this stinking wolf was interfering in her good business.

Linda smirked at Lizzy before shifting her focus to Elowyn, who was finally coming to be.

“I am here to pick up our guest. Who are you to snatch her from me?” Linda didn’t bother to hide her real purpose, but truthfully revealed it and that caught Elowyn’s attention.

“You ….. are you the person sent to pick me up?” with a doubtful tone, Elowyn asked Linda while wondering how these two know each other.

Linda beamed when Elowyn recognized her. “Yes, I was sent by Mr. Aynor. I guess that you were told of the name.”

Elowyn’s eyes lit up when she heard that. Hazel had indeed told her that someone named Aynor would pick her up or send someone. That meant that Linda was speaking the truth.

“I was indeed told that,” she smilingly responded, softening up for Linda.

Linda threw a triumphant smirk at Lizzy but the other harrumphed at her and said, “even if that’s the case. I will be paying for the phone. If you want to compete, then compete with something else!” her tone was very firm.

The saleslady was standing there in a daze, not knowing which card to use, seeing that these two girls were in a disagreement.

Linda, upon hearing that, felt that it made sense. After all, it was Lizzy who had thought of the idea first. Although she didn’t like the hybrid, it would not look well for her if the matter ever got out.

So, she withdrew her card, leaving the saleslady to sigh with relief as she started processing the payment.

None of them talked and Lizzy added a few accessories to the list, making the gift more luxurious and expensive. It made Elowyn feel very warm and touched. She vowed to repay the favor one day in the future.

After purchasing the phone, the three of them left the mall and headed to where Linda had parked her car.

On their way, the two nemeses were busy having an invisible battle of words through mental links. One that Elowyn had no clue about.

‘Why are you clinging onto Elowyn? What are you scheming?’ Linda accused.

‘Umph. We have been on the same bus; moreover, she is likeable. Why can’t I befriend her?’

‘Hehe, you befriend a normal human being? Lizzy, stop pretending. Do you know something? Have you seen something?’

Lizzy scoffed and looked at Linda with amusement as she retorted, ‘Even if I had seen something. What does that concern you? You take your time to find it. We aren’t that close. So why share?’

There was no way she was going to expose what she had found. That was her golden ticket. As long as she utilizes it well, things might go well for her in the future. So why mess it up?

Linda was so furious with Lizzy’s refusal, but she understood that if she were in Lizzy’s shoes, she wouldn’t share anything either.

Lizzy might be lying and trying to get on her nerves, but either way, she didn’t like what Lizzy was doing. Unfortunately, she couldn’t do anything about it. She could only keep a mental note on it and tell the Alpha about the matter when they got to the town.

When they got the car, Lizzy looked at Elowyn with a smile and softly said, “Remember to call me. Let’s talk, okay!”

Elowyn nodded with a smile. She liked Lizzy a lot. She was very friendly and didn’t mind her being introverted. In fact, she was grateful that she was sitting with Lizzy on the bus. Otherwise, she might not have made a new friend.

“I won’t forget,” Elowyn promised.

She didn’t want to remain in some cage this time. the past three years she didn’t have any friends. Her life revolved around Hilary but where did that get her?

Lizzy beamed at hearing that and said a few more pleasing words to Elowyn, which made her beam before turning to Linda.

‘Don’t you dare mistreat her. I don’t mind using the little power I have in the coven to fight you!’ Lizzy dropped a threat before flashing a smile at Elowyn and cheerfully bided her goodbye, “see ya!” before starting to walk away.

Elowyn smiled helplessly as Lizzy left. ‘It should be nice having such a carefree attitude!’ she enviously thought.

“Let’s get into the car,” Linda said, upon seeing Elowyn’s full focus on the departing Lizzy.

Elowyn turned to look at Linda and gave a polite smile. “Sure,” still feeling a bit estranged from her. after all, they have just met and haven’t been together for a long time.

Linda pursed her lips when she saw that. She could sense Elowyn’s slight alienation, but who could she blame?

Lizzy.

‘Umph! I am going to bash you one day. Just wait and see!’ she silently vowed, her eyes flickering with determination.

Elowyn had no idea what Linda was thinking. She boarded the car while Linda put the bags in the boot before joining her.

Once inside, the car was put into ignition, and in no time, it was driving away from the parking lot.

On the road, Elowyn was hungry and it so happen that she was holding two portions of food. She had forgot to give Lizzy her own share.

In the end, she could only share the food with Linda, but the other party declined, citing that she was still full.

As a result, Elowyn feasted on the two portions without fuss. Ever since she awakened, her food consumption had increased. So, the two portions weren’t that much.

Her eating attracted Linda. Although Linda was still suspicious, not know what kind of Elowyn she was. Until that was proven, she was human. And as a human, wasn’t her eating a bit too much?

Or did she have a physique that didn’t make her fat, no matter how much food she ate?

That curiosity gnawed on her for a long time until she finally learnt of Elowyn’s identity in the future.

“Kayden!” she called out to him, and he nodded at her.Earlier, the Alpha had told her repeatedly to call him by his name without the title. Although she felt uncomfortable at first, after exchanging words a few more times, she found herself calling him like that.Perhaps she adapted pretty well because she used to call Hilary by his name as well. Especially when they were alone.Anyway, that wasn’t the crux of the matter right now. She wasn’t with Hilary anymore but with Kayden.[Doesn’t she look beautiful?] Caesar shamelessly boasted as he groomed himself, and Kayden found himself taking several sneakier glances at Elowyn. She wasn’t wearing any fancy clothes, yet she looked ethereal. His heart couldn’t help but pound.‘Beautiful!’“Um ….. um,” but that wonderful moment was disrupted when Letty cleared her throat exaggeratedly, making Elowyn’s fa

The fear, doubt and many other thoughts. He was lost, but one by one, meeting them made his life pretty much easier. They have been togethe

Elowyn was in a great mood as she looked at the villa she finally settled on after checking the other villas that were currently not in use.To think that Alpha Kayden could build so many villas for his pack members to live in, she could see the love he has for his family, and that alone made her like the man even more.Coming to the Aynor pack, Elowyn always knew that her stay was guaranteed. After all, Hazel had settled everything for her. But in that moment when she was speaking with the Alpha, she couldn’t help but want to do something for herself. She alone understood how badly she wanted this chance. She knew that the Alpha didn’t have any reason to train her or be involved with this mess. That’s why she went down on her knees to beg him for this chance. She wanted him to know her earnestness. Her looks can be deceiving, and that could be deadly. What if no one takes her seriously or simply assumes that she is delicate and couldn&r

“I will have your identification problem solved before the end of the week. So, I might need your details, if you don’t mind.”Elowyn readily gave them. she didn’t even need to give false information at all. however, she couldn’t help but remind him of something.“I am not sure how you will find my name written in the system. If it’s not deceased, then please just have my previous identification reissued, but if it comes out as deceased, then please use Gardner instead of Gregory as my last name,” she firmly said, taking into account that Hilary might have declared her dead. After all, she truly died in some sense that night.Kayden was curious when he heard that. After all, how could a living person be announced dead all of a sudden? So, he asked her directly.“Do you mind telling me about what happened to you? Why do you need to hide and what you want to achieve? You can choose not to say anyt

Back to the present, after Elowyn ate her food, she began to focus on Linda.“Where are we going. What is it called?”“Aynor town. It’s a private small town with a reasonable number of residents,” Linda answered cautiously.Elowyn’s eyes lit up when she heard that. She wasn’t particularly fond of bustling places. They made her feel socially awkward. She was more used to staying in secluded places. Perhaps she was influenced by her mother, who took her to stay in the woods for years before she found Hilary, who took her to stay with his pack, which resided in the woods as well.Due to their uniqueness, it was rare for packs to live amongst normal human beings. They might mingle and work with them, but to live amongst them, that would mean increasing the risk of being found out. There weren’t many people who knew about the supernatural. Whilst the leaders knew about it, normal humans had no clue. To avo
