She was once fooled by Hilary, and she wasn’t going to let another man fool her again.

Luckily, she was only here to stay away from trouble and train. She wasn’t here to date and fool around.

With her goals firm, she pushed aside her bias towards Kayden. However, he lives his life, which was on him and not her.

So, why fuss?

With that in mind, her eyes softened as a smile appeared on her face.

Unknown to her, her changes were all captured by Kayden. In fact, her scent shocked him. From being sweet to sour suddenly. It was sour briefly and in that short moment, he could sense this strong aversion towards him that he couldn’t understand.

Not understanding what her mind was thinking, the sourness vanished, replaced by the sweetness that got him enchanted.

If only he could read her mind, then wouldn’t he be stressed?

Unfortunately, there was no way to solve this problem. He could only take it one second at a time.

“Welcome to Aynor town. I am Kayden Aynor,” Kayden warmly welcomed Elowyn, a smile plastered on his face, which made him look very friendly and pleasing to her eyes.

Elowyn felt the heat rush, but maintained her smile, not wanting the halo of Kayden to affect her.

“Thank you for having me on such a short notice. I am very sorry for being a bother,” she humbly apologized understanding her arrival might have caused some disturbances.

No matter how much she was biased towards him though she understood that it wasn’t his fault, she shouldn’t forget that it was her desperate and seeking shelter. She knew how to humble herself.

Linda and her cousins watched nervously as the two chatted.

Kayden waved his hand nonchalantly upon hearing that. “Don’t let that bother you. There isn’t much to be done,” he said to her, meaning every single word.

After all, he was repaying a favor, and honestly, he wouldn’t mind using this chance to hold onto his savior.

Elowyn, unaware of his thoughts, felt relieved. After spending three years in the Whitecrest pack, she was afraid of being a bother.

“Then I will thank you in advance,” she beamed at him, completely masking what shouldn’t be exposed.

Seeing that she was good and that her scent hadn’t changed, Kayden was relieved as well.

He would find it troublesome if this ancestor wasn’t satisfied and make things a bit harsh for them. knowing that she was satisfied, he could now proceed with his plans.

“How about I show you around the place? That way, you will know your way around in the future.”

Elowyn’s eyes lit up when she heard that. she didn’t expect that the alpha would do the honors. After all, there was still Linda and his cousins. Nonetheless, she felt honored. She gratefully thanked him and her liking for him increased with ten points.

He was generous and considerate. That was something touching.

With her agreement, Kayden didn’t waste any time and started the tour.

Elowyn followed as she listened to him pointing at the villas and other buildings around the compound.

The mansion they arrived at was his residence and the villas scattered around with enormous space meant for privacy were residential houses for the town residents.

Some of them lived together as communities but there were others who preferred to live alone or with fewer people.

Because of that, there were still several villas that haven’t been occupied yet and one of them was just next to the mansion.

Because it was a community, most basic needs could be satisfied without leaving the town at all and she liked that about the place.

There was also a huge forest with tall trees. Just looking at it from a distance, she felt this energy that was calling her.

‘I guess I need to make a visit and see what’s going on!’ Understanding her unique ability and identity, she understood that she would need to learn how to be a seer by herself sometimes, when the teachings from her ancestor didn’t help.

After the tour, she liked Kayden more. He was very responsible and wasn’t stingy. That alone made him look upright. At least he was several times better than Hilary.

After the tour, she was taken to his mansion where he sat with her in the living room. She was nervous sitting there with him alone.

It was the first time in months to sit with a man. The last time she was alone with a man, her belly was stabbed, her babies died, and she fell over a cliff.

The memories weren’t memorable, and she was unable to hide her nervousness from him, although she tried her best to remain calm. But how could she even know that her scent was very deceptive?

It betrayed her the very second, she sat on that couch.

Kayden was again thrown into confusion as that sweet scent turned into a mixed flavor that made him feel uneasy. This scent was pretty new, and honestly, he didn’t know how to decipher it at all.

Just what exactly was she thinking?

He was dying to know, and since he was dying of curiosity, it was better for him to ask. And that’s exactly what he did.

“Elowyn, do you think that you can stay here without any issues?”

When that was asked, Elowyn calmed down a bit, recalling how much she loved the place. She smiled as she nodded. “Yes, the place is beautiful and serene. I don’t mind staying here at all,” her tone filled with sincerity.

This time, Kayden smelled her scent returning to the sweeter side and a smile appeared on his face which made her dumbstruck for a moment before pinching herself.

Why was she zoning out?

“That’s good. From what Lady Hazel had said to me. She wants you to stay with us for four years at most until her return. You don’t have any objection to that, right?”

Elowyn shook her head. How could she object?

She didn’t even have anywhere to go if she left this place. So, she was determined to stay here as long as she could.

“She will be happy to hear that. Now, please choose where you want to live. You can choose to stay with others, me or alone.”

When that was said, Elowyn recalled quickly the villas she had seen.

Living with others wasn’t a bad thing but not to her. She has a secret and one she wasn’t willing for others to see yet. So, she couldn’t live with others. So that was out.

As for living with Kayden, honestly, it was already tiring sitting with him as her nerves weren’t calm at all. She still has trust issues with men and couldn’t trust living together in the same space without being reminded about Hilary.

At least in the years to come. She wanted to train without any distractions. If she continues to see Kayden and then compares him to Hilary, learning would be hindered. She didn’t want to kill herself before she could even take revenge.

So, living with him was out of the question. If there were two choices only; living with him or with others. She would risk getting exposed and live with others but not him.

With these two choices out of the question, she picked the last one.

“If possible, I would love to live by myself, and the third villa will suffice,” she humbly responded.

Kayden didn’t really care what she would choose as long as she was comfortable. Since the third villa was empty, she could reside there.

It was still closer to his mansion, though slightly at the back.

“I will have the villa cleaned up. You can’t move in today, though. You will have to suffer a bit.”

She waved her hands with a smile. “It's fine. I can wait.”

She was someone who had once lived in a forest and a cave. What’s there to suffer?

After dealing with the issue of the house, Kayden picked another topic.

“Kayden!” she called out to him, and he nodded at her.Earlier, the Alpha had told her repeatedly to call him by his name without the title. Although she felt uncomfortable at first, after exchanging words a few more times, she found herself calling him like that.Perhaps she adapted pretty well because she used to call Hilary by his name as well. Especially when they were alone.Anyway, that wasn’t the crux of the matter right now. She wasn’t with Hilary anymore but with Kayden.[Doesn’t she look beautiful?] Caesar shamelessly boasted as he groomed himself, and Kayden found himself taking several sneakier glances at Elowyn. She wasn’t wearing any fancy clothes, yet she looked ethereal. His heart couldn’t help but pound.‘Beautiful!’“Um ….. um,” but that wonderful moment was disrupted when Letty cleared her throat exaggeratedly, making Elowyn’s fa

The fear, doubt and many other thoughts. He was lost, but one by one, meeting them made his life pretty much easier. They have been togethe

Elowyn was in a great mood as she looked at the villa she finally settled on after checking the other villas that were currently not in use.To think that Alpha Kayden could build so many villas for his pack members to live in, she could see the love he has for his family, and that alone made her like the man even more.Coming to the Aynor pack, Elowyn always knew that her stay was guaranteed. After all, Hazel had settled everything for her. But in that moment when she was speaking with the Alpha, she couldn’t help but want to do something for herself. She alone understood how badly she wanted this chance. She knew that the Alpha didn’t have any reason to train her or be involved with this mess. That’s why she went down on her knees to beg him for this chance. She wanted him to know her earnestness. Her looks can be deceiving, and that could be deadly. What if no one takes her seriously or simply assumes that she is delicate and couldn&r

“I will have your identification problem solved before the end of the week. So, I might need your details, if you don’t mind.”Elowyn readily gave them. she didn’t even need to give false information at all. however, she couldn’t help but remind him of something.“I am not sure how you will find my name written in the system. If it’s not deceased, then please just have my previous identification reissued, but if it comes out as deceased, then please use Gardner instead of Gregory as my last name,” she firmly said, taking into account that Hilary might have declared her dead. After all, she truly died in some sense that night.Kayden was curious when he heard that. After all, how could a living person be announced dead all of a sudden? So, he asked her directly.“Do you mind telling me about what happened to you? Why do you need to hide and what you want to achieve? You can choose not to say anyt

Back to the present, after Elowyn ate her food, she began to focus on Linda.“Where are we going. What is it called?”“Aynor town. It’s a private small town with a reasonable number of residents,” Linda answered cautiously.Elowyn’s eyes lit up when she heard that. She wasn’t particularly fond of bustling places. They made her feel socially awkward. She was more used to staying in secluded places. Perhaps she was influenced by her mother, who took her to stay in the woods for years before she found Hilary, who took her to stay with his pack, which resided in the woods as well.Due to their uniqueness, it was rare for packs to live amongst normal human beings. They might mingle and work with them, but to live amongst them, that would mean increasing the risk of being found out. There weren’t many people who knew about the supernatural. Whilst the leaders knew about it, normal humans had no clue. To avo
