Chapter 2.

Allison steps inside the pack house with a wide smile on her face, feeling a sense of nostalgia after seven long years. As she walks through the familiar corridors, she can't help but feel grateful for the Alpha who found her abandoned as a baby by the riverside in the human world and brought her to the pack house. She wonders how different her life would have been if he had left her there.

As she walks down a hallway, she hears someone calling her name, and she looks up to see someone who looks like a younger version of Alex. Allison drops her bag to run and hug him, feeling joy in her heart. Alex pulls her back to look at her, marveling at how much she has grown.

"You've grown so big, Ally!" Alex exclaims, looking her up and down. "And you're so pretty too!" he says, crushing her back in a tight hug.

Allison hugs him back, feeling grateful for his warm welcome. "You don't look bad yourself," she says when they finally pull away.

He shakes his head, smiling. "I see you haven't changed a bit, Ally."

"When are you gonna stop calling me Ally? I'm no longer the small girl you knew, you know?" she says, teasing him.

"Please," he says with a playful eye-roll. "I love calling you Ally, and I won't stop calling you that," he says, poking her nose.

Allison laughs and pulls him towards the Alpha's house, eager to see everyone. As they walk, Alex fills her in on what's been happening in the pack since she left. She listens intently, feeling grateful for his friendship.

When they enter the Alpha's house, Allison is greeted by the warm smiles of family and friends. Colorful banners and balloons adorn the walls, and a large cake sits at the center of the table. The words "Welcome back home Allison, we missed you" are written in bold letters at the entrance of the house, bringing tears to her eyes.

"Surprise!" Alex shouts in her ear, making her jump. She elbows him playfully and laughs.

"You did all this for me?" she asks, feeling emotional.

"Of course, Ally. You deserve it," he says, pulling her in for a hug.

Allison looks around the room, feeling overwhelmed by the love and warmth of her pack. She greets everyone while still in Alex's arms, feeling grateful for the Alpha who has created such a wonderful home for her.

But there's someone she's secretly looking for, Damian, her childhood friend and crush. She knows he's still the same old Damian, who couldn't even come to welcome her. She shakes the thought out of her head and tries to enjoy the moment. After about an hour of catching up, she leaves for her room, feeling content. Damian still hasn't shown up, but she won't let that ruin her day. She knows she's back where she belongs, and that's all that matters.

Damian’s POV.

I knew Allison was returning today, and I should have been there to welcome her, but I chose to stay in my room instead. I didn't want her to feel too special just because everyone came out to welcome her. They all treat her like she's some sort of princess, and I don't see what's so special about her.

Everyone has been busy making preparations for her arrival, and I heard she'll be here in a few minutes. But who cares, anyway? I picked up my phone and dialed Alex's number. He answered after the first ring. "Hey," I said.

"What's up, Damian?" Alex replied.

"Nothing much, just bored. Mind coming over to my room?" I asked him.

Alex sighed and replied, "You know I'd love to come, but I'm busy with the preparations for Allison's arrival."

I got angry when I heard this. Even my best friend doesn't have time for me because of her! "Whatever man, who needs your company anyway?" I said angrily and ended the call.

I sat on my bed, thinking of what to do for fun. What's wrong with me? How can I be bored when I can have any woman I want? I'll just call one of the pack's women to warm my bed. I smiled at the thought.

"Gabriel," I called my guard. He came into my room immediately and bowed. "Get me one of the pack's women. I need something to while away time with," I told him.

"Yes, my prince," he answered and left.

To hell with the welcome party being held for that annoying human!

He wouldn’t give her the joy of feeling like she was one princess.

They can hold the party for all I care,I won’t be part of it.

I’m about to have some fun! I thought with a smirk.
