Selene's POV

Before I could even answer Victor’s question—before I could even think of what to say—Anthony stepped closer to me and placed himself between Victor and I, like a human shield. He then looked Victor dead in the eyes.

Victor acted quickly, not hesitating for a moment. One second, he was glaring at me, his chest heaving with rage. The next, he delivered a powerful punch to Anthony’s face, sending him flying backwards.

Anthony landed on the ground hard, his head snapping to the side.

"Victor!" I screamed, pushing him with all the strength I had left. "What the hell is wrong with you?!"

Victor didn’t even stumble. His eyes burned, locked onto Anthony like he wanted to tear him apart. "He doesn’t get to stand near you like that."

"Like what?" I snapped. "He was just trying to protect me from you!"

Anthony groaned as he pushed himself up, a trickle of blood running from his lip. "I’m fine, Selene," he muttered, wiping his mouth.

But I wasn’t far from fine. I was furious.

  • The Rejected Luna,The Hidden Heiress   Chapter 60

Selene's POV Her voice—smooth, smug, way too confident—wrapped around my name like it belonged to her. For a second, I considered pretending I didn’t hear her. I could have kept walking, but before I could even take a full step, the sound of heels clicked behind me.“Selene,” she called again, louder this time. And then Victor spoke.

  • The Rejected Luna,The Hidden Heiress   Chapter 59

Selene's POV After Victor walked away, I just stood there, frozen in the middle of the room, his scent still lingering on my skin like a brand I couldn’t wash off. My throat tightened, but I refused to cry. Not for him.I made my way to the bathroom in silence, dragging my feet like my soul had become too heavy to carry. As I turned on the shower handle, warm water gushed out, filling the room with steam that quickly fogged the mirror. I stepped in before it even filled halfway and let the heat swallow me.

  • The Rejected Luna,The Hidden Heiress   Chapter 58

Selene's POV The second Victor answered the call, I felt a chill run through my veins.I could hear my brother's confused voice on the other end. "Selene? What's going with…"Victor didn't let him finish. He tossed the phone onto the bench next to us, still connected, still listening. Then his hands were on me again, rougher than before, his fingers digging into my hips hard enough to leave bruises.

  • The Rejected Luna,The Hidden Heiress   Chapter 57

Selene's POV Victor’s question thundered through the garden as he slammed his palm against the table, shaking everything. Plates rattled, and the wine glass tipped, spilling red across the white cloth like blood. But I remained calm, my hands by my sides. My heart was hammering in my chest, but my face stayed calm. I just had to hold it together."Sign the divorce papers, Victor," I replied firmly. "That&rsqu

  • The Rejected Luna,The Hidden Heiress   Chapter 56

Victor's POV "Do you think she’ll ever look at me the same way she did when we first got married?"My voice barely left my throat as I walked into my room and sank down on the couch, a bottle of whiskey half-empty in my hand.Abel sat across from me, his arms crossed, his eyes dark."Honestly?" he started.I nodded slowly. He sighed. "No."The word hit me harder than I expected. I took another long drink, letting the burn spread through my chest."I think you should forget her, Victor," Abel added. "She’s gone. Her heart is not with you anymore. She made that clear the moment she asked for the divorce.""No. She still loves me. I know she does. I can feel it.""Alpha Victor, I…""She’s mine, Abel. She is my Luna. I don’t care what anyone says. Not the Prince. Not Anthony. Not even my mother or father. No one. I will win her back."Abel rubbed a hand down his face. "Victor, both Prince Ethan and Anthony are interested in her now. You're outnumbered, and frankly, out of chances.""You’

  • The Rejected Luna,The Hidden Heiress   Chapter 55

Selene's POV The water was warm, yet it did nothing to comfort me. I just stood under the shower, arms wrapped tightly around myself, letting the water wash down my body like it could rinse off the memory. But it couldn’t.Every drop that touched my skin felt like a reminder—of the way he held me, of how his lips melted into mine like he still had the right. My wolf stirred uneasily. She was quiet and confused. Not angry. Not exactly. Just... empty. I wanted her to rage. I wanted her to rise up and scream that we had been disrespected. But she didn’t. She curled up inside me like a wounded animal, not sure if she should trust the scent that still clung to our skin. And that scared me more than anything because if she didn’t know how to feel about Victor... what chance did I have?I covered my face with both hands, trying to breathe, but the water kept pouring and the memory kept flashing. That kiss wasn’t just desperate—it was familiar. Like my body had already forgiven him before
