The wind whipped through the car, carrying a heavy silence between us. Eventually, I mustered the courage to break it.

"We can't run forever, Blake," I spoke softly, my voice tinged with a mix of fear and determination.

Blake glanced at me, his eyes filled with a mix of frustration and resignation. "I know," he admitted begrudgingly. "But right now, we need a plan. One that doesn't involve crawling back to Derick and Sophia."

I nodded, understanding his reluctance. "Agreed. We can't rely on them anymore. We're on our own."

"The Crescent Pack," I replied eagerly. "They're neutral in this conflict, and they have the resources and strength to stand against Alpha Eduardo."
