Chapter 14

ADRIAN'S POV

The weather was extremely cold that morning. I got up at five a.m. not because I wanted to but because I had to. I'm not a morning person so I hated waking up early – I don't do early at all. I stretched my body and yawned, then I stood up from the armchair I had slept in and went out for a small walk to stretch my legs because my legs were cramped up.

As I stepped out of Eva's house, I began to shiver with cold because an extremely cold wind was blowing – the cold was piercing. My hands and feet were numbed with cold. My nose began to run and my ears were as cold as ice. I was chilled to the marrow and my legs became stiff and cold. I changed my mind about taking a walk and went back inside.

I had spent my night at Eva's house. After all that happened last night, I couldn't go back home and I also couldn't fulfil the promise I had made to my father. Damn, I'm sure that he would be feeling very disappointed in me. The old man would say that he was right, that I wasn't rea
