Chapter Eleven

Savage

My first week at Wolf High is a whirlwind of new experiences, new friends, and a sense of nervous excitement about my future. However, as the days went by, a nagging feeling of being watched never quite left me. It started with Amelia, the girl in my science class who seemed to be always looking at me, and it only got worse from there.

One day during lunch, I spot her standing off to the side, watching me intently. Sensing my unease, Lily takes my hand and leads me away from the group.

“Hey, don't worry about it too much,” she says reassuringly. “It's just Amelia. She can be a bit… intrusive. Don't let her get to you.”

“I can't shake the feeling that there's more to it than that, though,” I confess, nibbling on my sandwich nervously. “I feel like she knows something about me… or my family.”
