Chapter Ten

Savage

“Savage, get up! We need to get ready for the first day of school.” Lily squeals in excitement, causing me to groan and roll over.

“Already. I swear, I just about died not even two weeks ago, and now you are dragging me out of bed.” I complain, pulling the covers over my head.

Lily giggles as she playfully nudges me before yanking the covers off. “Oh, come on, we've got to get going. You don't want to be late on the first day!”

I reluctantly sit up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. “Fine, but I need coffee,” I grumble.

“Ah, I see you awoke the monster!” Uncle Apollo chuckles just as he passes by Lily.

“Hey now!” I yell while throwing a pillow at him.

“What! Have you seen yourself without coffee?” Uncle Apollo chuckles while shivering his body.

Auntie Skyler chuckles, watching as I struggle to get out of bed. She understands that this is a big day for me, and she wants to make sure I'm ready.

“Don't worry, honey,” she assures me, “you've got this. I know it's a big day, but rememb
