Release:
Rhett was frustrated, Hendrix was relentless. Rhett had been pacing his office for hours now. He needed a release. He sighed giving into the need to go for a run. The night had fallen and he walked outside his pack house. He stretched quickly looking up at the stars. A thought entered her head. He wondered if the rogues would turn Aldric’s pack domain into their own land. That could be a problem. He knew that rouges did not travel together, it was usually lone wolves or a family but the way attacks were on the rise, he wondered if something more was happening. He needed to know more about the attacks that Aldric’s pack faced. He stretched again trying to force the stress from his body. He was the reason his pack was surviving. He had thought of every possible measure to take. When they got wind of a famine coming they went self reliant. Growing their own food and crops, ensuring they had their own water supply. He made sure he had herbs for medicine on top of medical supplies. He even reinforced his pack land with walls. He would not fall. They would not fall. He made sure his pack were trained to the point they were effortlessly deadly. The world today was a world only for the strong and resilient could survive in. He frowned thinking of Aldric. How did he fall?
Hendrix whined in his ear.
“Allright.” Rhett growled.
He let the shift happen. All of his bones began to bend and morph as he passed the wheel to Hendrix. He had not let him out in a while. He was restless. Once in wolf form, Hendrix jumped around a little bit like a pup who just came out of its cage. Before Rhett could even laugh about his reaction, they were running full force.
Hendrix took off towards the east. Rhett knew exactly where he was going. The river. The silly thing loved the water. Rhett was tempted to stop him, he didn't feel like being cold and wet . He couldn't though; the joy Hendrix was feeling was too much to tell him no. Rhett sighed internally as he let him go. Getting to the river bank Hendrix drove full force into the water. The cold water rushed into his fur and he began splashing around. He began chasing the water around. He would run out of the water back on to the bank. He then would shake his fur off before running in a complete circle and then diving back into the crystal clear water.
You know you're an oversized dog. Rhett said, rolling his eyes at him.
You know you suck at having fun. Hendrix bantered back before ducking under the water.
One of us has to be serious. Rhett said to him.
Hendrix just ignored him as he paddled around the river.
Just as Rhett was going to tell him it was time to go back, a scent flooded his nose. Hendrix jumped to attention standing tall in the river. His heart raced as he looked in the direction the scent was coming from. Hendrix felt overwhelmed by the scent making him crave whatever was expelling it.
A wolf came down to the river, bowing its help to drink. The wolf was far down the river.
Mate. The word shook Rhett as Hendrix began to howl.
Mate. Hendrix yelled to Rhett as he began to run down the river. The current slowing him down. The water splashing up around him.
The wolf looked up quickly seeing Hendrix running towards him. A look of panic flashes in its eyes. The wolf then turned quickly and began to run.
Mate, wait! Hendrix screamed in their heads.
He began to howl trying to run after the wolf. Rhett panicked and forced the shift. His bones snapping and popping back into his human form. He didn't plan it well and as he shifted he fell face first into the river. Standing up he could barely make out the figure of the wolf as it ran away from them.
Why did you do that? We could have caught her! Hendrix whined crazily in his head.
Your freaking scared her with all your yelling and howling. Rhett scolded him.
Then a thought hit him, an unknown wolf was on their land. She was either with Aldric's pack or someone had gotten through it.
There is a wolf running back from the river on the east side. Stop it..don't let her get away..I need to know who she is. Rhett sent out a mindlink to his men.
We need to meet everyone in Aldric's pack. Hendrix whined.
I like his name.Aldric Hendrix said as Rhett ignored him.
Rhett pulled himself out of the river and up onto the river bank. He was cold and wet and frustrated.
Had to go into the river. Rhett growled at Hendrix as he began walking back to the pack house.
Alpha we can't find any wolf you speak of..a voice came through mindlink.
Check the borders to make sure there's no breach. Rhett replied back.
Luke set up a meeting for tomorrow. I want to meet all the females of Aldric's pack. Rhett ordered.
Yes Alpha..is it about the wolf? Luke asked him, trying not to over step his place.
Yes. I believe she was my mate. Hendrix is positive and he's not shutting up. Rhett replied back, annoyed with Luke's cautious tone.
Luke had been with him since they were kids and sometimes was afraid to speak to him like they were.
I will see to it, Alpha. Luke's mind linked back.
Rhett got to his pack house his mind kept lingering on the scent. It was intoxicating. He knew that Hendrix might be right. The smell made him crazy. Why did she run? He thought to himself. Even if Hendrix had frightened her, her wolf should have tried to fight her to go to him. He frowned. He was frustrated in more than one way and needed a release.
Tiffany.. Rhett mind linked her.
Yes Rhett. Her voice purred into his head.
Alpha. He reminded her, his voice cold when he said it.
Oh I'm so sorry. Alpha. Can I ask how I can help you? Tiffany asked back overly sweet, the mind link she sent back was full with sexual tension.
I want to have you. Rhett spoke bluntly to her, it wasn't a command he would never abuse his power like that.
Rhett and Tiffany were not seeing each but would hook up. He hated doing it at times because she, like most ambitious females in his pack, wanted the title of Luna.
Alpha you know you can have me anytime, anywhere , and anyway you want. I'll be at your room ready. Her voice full of lust
Rhett rolled his eyes at her as he started to walk into his house. Something caught his eye as he turned he saw a very naked Aldric walking out of the woods and heading towards the houses Rhett had set them up in. Rhett looked confused and shook his head.
Luke Alpha Aldric is walking around naked, find out what he was doing. Rhett mindlink him walking to the pack house.
Naked? He most likely was let his wolf out for a run but I will make sure I ask. Luke responded.
Rhett ignored the link back from Luke. He was up to his room in no time, he noticed his door was cracked. He was slightly annoyed. He had asked her several times for the key to his room back. She had taken it one night and said it was so she could always be there for him if he needed her. Walking into the room her arousal hit him. His eyes glowed slightly seeing her sprawled out on the bed. Hendrix was excited but he kept thinking of the smell of his mate. It was fueling the moment.
“Alpha.” Tiffany said, rolling over on her back and lifting her buttocks to him.
A small growl came from his chest as he approached the bed, she flipped around and was facing him, her hands going to his pants. She knew he was an impatient man and liked things done quickly. She had herself already completely ready and ready to go for him. Foreplay was not his thing. She let his pants drop and found herself on the floor in front of him on her knees. She took him into his mouth and began moving her head. He inhaled, the intoxicating scent entering his mind again. She felt him pulse around her as he shut his eyes enjoying the warmth of her mouth. After several passes he scooped her up and pushed her back onto the bed. He gritted his jaw slightly.
Sex had always been mindless for him, some act he did just for the release. He never fully committed to the feeling and emotions in it. He looked down at Tiffany spread out before him. Hendrix kept bringing up flashes of the wolf's scent. He needed the release this time. The tension the new Alpha brought was too much and he felt so much stress. He glanced down at her naked body that did nothing for him. He had always been like that, he never let anyone in. He was fully committed to his pack.He reached down and ran his finger down the girls center. She moaned, arching her hips. He almost sighed at the reaction. He was jealous sometimes. The way a touch could set someone on fire. He never felt that. His thoughts wandered back to Aldrich. He found himself thinking of his shoulders, how they wandered down to his strong muscled forearms. How he was riddled in scars from defending his pack. The image of him walking out of his office flashed through his mind, his back was just as impressive as his front, muscle on muscle leading down to the most perfect ass. Then the image of him walking naked across the pack's lawn flashed and felt a feeling he never felt before. He needed… Tiffany’s body. He entered Tiffany and began moving. He slid his hand under Tiffany's ass pulling her deep into him as he thrusted. As his hand grazed her ass he thought about what it would be like to touch Aldric's ass. He imaged his firm buttcheeks in his hand. He began to move hard and faster, Tiffany crying out in moans of pleasure. Rhett felt his release and nearly collapsed on the girl. She looked up at him with a small smile on her face.
“Alpha?” She whispered.
He had never come that fast before. He had slept with Tiffany plenty of times and most of the time she had to finish him off with her mouth. He got up quickly and motioned for her to leave. She was confused but almost flattered. Rhett could tell by the way she got up and walked out of the room. Rhett flopped over on his back staring at the ceiling. He was shaking but confused. He had never finished like that. Why was he thinking of him?
We are not gay. Hendrix said to him.
I didn’t say we were. Rhett growled back at him.
Childish: “He left? The whole pack is gone?” He said confused. “Yes Alpha, the whole pack up and abandon everything. Everythings empty.” He said, bowing his head. “Where would he go? How could he leave?” The Alpha yelled, slamming his fist down. “I’m sorry Alpha Calvin I do not know.” He said, hanging his head. Calvin growled angrily. He wanted to ruin Aldric. He wanted to make sure he was reduced to absolutely nothing before he killed him. It's what he deserved. He paced the camp becoming angrier and angrier with each step. Where the hell would he go? “Micah send the scouts. There’s not too many packs out there that can withhold more members. Find Aldric.” Calvin growled. Micah bowed his head and left Calvin alone. It was only a matter of time now. He had whittled away at Aldric’s pack slowly killing off his warriors, leaving just the woman and eldery. He had disguised it all as rouge attacks. He was to blind by the loss to realize how strategic it all was. There were all
Struggle:Two o’clock came too quickly. Rhett was pacing the floor in his office. Rhett looked at the clock he had five minutes till two. Luke kept glancing at him. Luke finally got annoyed enough and decided he was going to ask Rhett what his problem was.“Alpha, are you ok?” Luke asked.“Fine.” Rhett responded sharply.“Don't be like that. You know fine isn't a real answer. What’s going on with you?” Luke said rolling his eyes, talking to Rhett as his friend and not his Alpha.“I … I don’t know. I just -The knock on the door made Rhett stop talking. Luke frowned and got up from his seat. He watched Rhett retreat behind the desk. Luke looked at him confused. He never saw his Alpha act like this. He was putting a barrier between himself and Alpha Aldric. He had seen Rhett kill without batting an eye. He was dangerous in battle and well respected. Luke paused with his hand on the door handle looking back at Rhett. He watched him grit his teeth and nod to Luke telling him to open the d
Plotting:Xyler wanted to shift. Aldric fought against him. He felt it too. He wanted to run back into that office and demanded that Rhett confess what he was feeling. The mate bond was tugging and pulling at him; it felt like he was going to be torn apart. Aldric walked further away from the pack house putting distance between them. He didn't know how long he could do this. Reaching the housing area where his pack was, Xyler settled down seeing the people he was fighting for. Outside the home several small children were running around playing. A small golden-haired girl spotted him and ran towards him. Aldric smiled seeing her. He kneeled down and the little girl crashed into him laughing. “Alpha! Where have you’ve been? Your missing hide and seek!” She giggled.“Kristy! How many times must I tell you not to bother the Alpha!” Kristy’s mother said coming towards them.“Now you're gonna get us both in trouble.” Aldric laughing and poking Kristy.“Alpha, I am so sorry. We mean no disr
Training;Waverly followed Aldric out onto the field. Luke was waiting for them, greeting Waverly with a smile as she approached him. Aldric caught it and smiled to himself. He still had hoped that Waverly might have a happy ending after it all. There were several soldiers lined up and waiting. Others were already sparring or training. Aldric looked over the men and he could see they all physically looked the part. He began sizing them up to see if they were actually as lethal as they should be. Aldric noted that there were no women present.“Where are your women?” Aldric asked and felt Waverly’s presence; he knew she was thinking the same. “We have enough warriors that we only train the few that need to be.” Luke said with a shrug.“A word of advice from experience. Every member of your pack should know how to fight. Right down to your children: The world we live in right now. No one is safe and you will never know what the end result will be.” Aldric said not looking at Luke as he
Hospital: Mate. The word hit Rhett like a mac truck. Did he say it to him? Was he hallucinating? It had to be the lack of oxygen. There was no way he was talking to him. Maybe he was thinking about someone. Rhett tried to justify what just fell out of Aldric's mouth as he rushed to the car. He began panicking as Aldric lost consciousness. He needed to get to the hospital now. Did you want it to be about us? Hendrix asked. No, what are you saying? Rhett answered back as he got Aldric in the car. Listen, I can't handle your commentary right now. Rhett growled at Hendrix. Waverley was following behind and pulled open the passenger side door for Rhett. Rhett placed Aldric in the car and rushed over to the driver's side. It didn't take him long to jump in and speed off. He barely left enough time for Waverly to slide into the back seat. Waverly leaned the passenger seat back so she could keep an eye on Aldric. Rhett had sweat beaded across his forehead. He glanced over at Aldric
Stable:“Alpha.” A soft voice called him before he walked outside the door.He looked over and saw Hannah. Hannah had been a nurse at the hospital for years. She was old enough to be Rhett’s mother and he often thought of her that way. Rhett paused as she motioned for him to come over.“Let me have a look at you.” Hannah said to him.Rhett made a face but followed her into an exam room anyways. She patted the exam bed motiong for him to sit up there. Rhett sighed, plopping up onto the bed. She gathered some supplies from the cabinets.“You look like you came out of a horror movie. All the blood yours or someone else?” Hannah said coming to him.Rhett hadn't even thought about it, he looked down over the front of him and his whole chest was stained red. He could now feel the stickiness on his face.“Both. He broke my nose.” Rhett shrugged. “I can see that.” Hannah reached out and carefully planted his nose.“Your body is already trying to heal it but it's not set. You can either live
White Wolf:Rhett pulled up to where they were housing Aldric’s pack, he let out a long sigh stepping out of the car. He wasn't sure what to expect. He had felt anger from Waverly and he wondered if the rest of his pack would be angry as well. Luke seemed to be already talking to them and prepping them as he approached. Luke was letting them know that he would be there shortly to give them all an update. Rhett walked up behind Luke placing a hand on his shoulder to let him know he was there.“Is this everyone?” Rhett asked out loud, more directed to the pack then Luke.“Yes Alpha.” Luke responded. His eyes looked over the pack. It was all women, children, and eldery. No wonder they couldn't have survived another attack. All the men were gone. He felt so surprised by that. He was caught up in his thoughts as he looked over the pack. He felt bad for them.“Alpha Rhett, you came to tell us about our Alpha?” One of the elderly women asked.“Yes, during a train exercise Alpha Aldric was hu
Listen:Rhett headed back to the hospital, his stomach turning in knots as he got closer and closer. He didn't know if it was the anticipation or if he was excited. Finding one's mate was a big deal. Part of him didn't know if he was ready for that. He parked his car in the parking lot and gripped on to the steering wheel. He took a deep breath before he shut off the vehicle. He looked at the hospital building and the urge to run crept up on him. He had never run away from anything no matter the danger. This was new to him. He forced himself to walk into the hospital .The nurses looked up but didn't bother him. He remembered the instructions the nurse had said previously to him as he followed them. He turned down a hall and then walked into the critical care unit. He felt the guilt in the pit of his stomach as he walked into the unit. A nurse looked up from the nursing station and nodded to him, pointing him the way to Aldric’s room. He nodded his thanks back and walked to the room.
