Aria's POV

"Are you ready, Aria?"

I nodded at the face of my new assistant, Alice.  There was a lot of noise where we were so I didn't bother speaking.

We were at an event hosted by my brothers.  Kael had themed it: UNVEILING BLOODMOON'S LEADER.

I heard his speech as we waited backstage.  He had just finished telling the people gathered that he was relinquishing his position as Alpha leader and handing over to his sister,  Aria  Black.

That was my cue so I walked out to a sea of faces that made my head giddy.  Good thing Kael took my hand when he did.

I watched to see if anyone would recognize me. It was hard.  Most of the women there had smiles on their faces.  Probably happy their gender was taking charge.

"I demand respect for her, just as you have accorded me throughout my time," he concluded.

I stood at the podium.  A couple of questions came.

"You're Bloodmoon's first female leader.  How do you feel?"

"Excited," I said.  And powerful.

"What is your next step as a leader? Will you change things?"

"There is something that I would change.  And that is the way orphans are treated,  especially in Silverclaw. It is unjust. And it's time to do away with it, and punish the offenders."

Murmuring.

"What do you have to say about you getting this position and Lana not getting it? She keeps saying that she's been cheated on."

"I am clearly not her boyfriend," I said,  and there was laughter. Wherever she was,  Lana would feel it.

Alice came up.  "No more questions!"  We walked off the stage.

"You are going to create an enemy of Lana, sister," Rafe,  who was waiting at the exit, told me.  "We all love you but be careful."

**

She was the only one who refused to acknowledge my new position. Well,  we'd come to settle that score sooner or later.

Two days later,  I went to my training ground.  Found Mason.  A well-built muscular man with a scarred jaw.  Rafe told me he was almost ten times older than I was and had a daughter for an only child.

He was busy cleaning a blade when I walked in.

"Is that yours?" I asked.

He got to his feet,  dropped the blade,  and bowed.  "My lady.  It is an honor to train  you."

"I'm pretty sure you trained my brother,  Kael?"

"Kael learned from his father," Mason said.  "You happen to be my first  royal."

I wondered if that had any significance.

"Where do we start?" I asked anxiously.

"Your brother told me that you were exposed to brutal circumstances all your life.  Your training will encompass both the psychological and the physical parts as well.  You're training to defend your people,  my lady.  The people Bloodmoon Pack.  Not for revenge."

Our eyes held for some moments until I looked away.  I had a feeling he had read some part of me.  Revenge was already at the top of my list.

"Do you tell me what to do with my knowledge,  Mason?" I arrogantly asked.

He smiled.  "No.  But I can refuse to train you, my lady.  And there's nothing your brothers can do about that. Oh,  there is.  Get you another trainer."

I looked around.  The place was empty save the two of us. "Don't you have other students?"

"The ones who stayed passed out months ago."

"Months ago, huh? I thought you were responsible for training our fighters."

"I am.  But we aren't at war.  And based on what I have learned about Silverclaw, seems like every day  is a celebration."

"Ha ha,"  I said.  "Let's begin."

He fitted me with body armor and gave me a wooden blade.  Said some things about my connection with that weapon. Overall,  I took a lot of hits and never touched him for once.  Then he gave me a mannequin to slice at for the rest of the day in a peculiar series of moves that felt more like a dance than combat.

I got tired a couple of times, and with Mason prowling around like a wild cat, he didn't fail to urge me to continue.

By the time he finally told me to stop,  my hands and legs were heavy.  I flopped on the bare floor and dozed off.  When I woke up, Mason came outside and asked, "Breakfast?"

**

Mason's training ground was some ways from the palace and I didn't leave with any escort.

On my way back, after a meal of soft scrambled eggs and lemon water,  just as I moved around some trees, someone grabbed me and put a hand around my mouth.

"Don't scream!" said the male voice behind me.  "It's Jace."

I stopped struggling at once.  He came to stand in front of me, hands on my arms, smiling from ear to ear. "Aria."

"Don't say my name."

"Yes, yes.  I know.  And I am sorry for the words  I said to you. But that's all in the past now."

"All in the past now? You expect me to forget every word, Jace? Just like that?"

He sighed.  "I know I messed up,  all right? I was way in over my head.  I couldn't see you for what you were worth.  I... I was drunk."

I didn't believe him.  He sounded very sober that night. "Why are you apologizing,  Jace?"

"Isn't it obvious?"  he asked.

"No," I told him.  "I have no idea. Sneaking up on me right  now is a punishable  offence."

He laughed. "Oh, is that it now? Alpha  leader untouchable?"

I said nothing.

"That's good." He nodded letting his hands drop from my shoulders.  "Table  turned pretty well for you."

"I thought you were the one who took me to the hospital but the doctor told me it wasn't you.  You just left me there.  To rot!"

"That's why I came back, alright! I came back for you, Aria."

"Came back for me? What are you talking about?"

"What I am saying is,  I am here to claim you.  As my mate."

  • Return Of The Alpha Heiress    The Supreme Alpha

Aria’s POVKael and I set out early the next day without telling me which of the packs we were going to. I sat in the back seat with him, deep in thought. Nothing positive came into my mind about the person we were going to see.My mind couldn’t stop feeding me with what ifs, causing me to draw a conclusion that that person won’t be of any help to us. Remembering Kael’s words from the previous day that whoever we were going to see would do anything for me made me wonder again. What if we go there and he refuses? Among all the packs in the kingdom, only I was the female Alpha. Although the rule doesn’t mind any gender being an Alpha, some packs were still against it. If the pack we were traveling to see had that mindset too, then we were doomed. “A penny for your thoughts.”Kael snapped his fingers on my face, reviving me back to reality. I sighed deeply, adjusted my butt, and shook my head hopelessly. “You didn’t sleep?”Yeah, I didn’t, not even a yawn. My mind was filled with worr

  • Return Of The Alpha Heiress    The Only Person Who Can Help

Aria’s POV“I must inform Kael right away!”Bianca and I hurried out of the meeting hall like we were being chased by rogues. Everyone’s attention was on us as we left the company’s building and whispers were flying around. But I paid no attention to them, I was focused on where I was going. Even though I tried to stay calm and control myself, I couldn’t. The gravity of my fear hormones was stronger than I had thought. Never in my life had I ever been that scared in my life. Maybe if the evil plan was for me alone, I wouldn’t have been that scared, but my pack members–thousands of innocent people. Join the silverclaw and the moonclaw pack’s members together and they weren’t a quarter of all of the Bloodmoon’s pack members. Luckily, Kael was still in his company when I reached there–he was about to leave. When he saw me, he grew so concerned and only when he hugged me tightly did I regain a little courage. “Whatever is bothering you, I am sure it isn’t something small. Do you want

  • Return Of The Alpha Heiress    The Bloodmoon Pack is in Danger

Aria’s POVThat man must have heard or seen something terrible that Lana was up to and decided to report it right there when Lana’s evil plan was publicised. Unfortunately, he got killed even before he could say it. Dang it!I was so upset at that point, wishing I could turn back time. But the deed had already been done, and what was left was to carry out a deep investigation of what the man wanted to say. “I want the investigative team sent to all of Lana’s houses in this pack, her guest houses, and any other place you know she often visited.”As I was told, Lana had a lot of houses in her name as the almost-mistaken daughter of my father. They said that when he was still alive, he showered her with love and many gifts. She had more houses than any of my brothers: the real children, and a lot of cars. My father, the late Alpha, must have known that one day his real daughter would return; that's why he did all that for her, so she wouldn’t feel unwanted when I finally showed up. B

  • Return Of The Alpha Heiress    Unexpected Turn of Events

Aria’s POVA middle-aged man scurried out from the crowd in a state of panic. He looked so scared, so dishevelled, and his big round eyes were fixed on Lana. “I must inform you about what Miss Lana is…”It was so quick that no one noticed it. The man tumbled down the stage screaming, and fell face flat on the ground. Screams filled the air, everyone started running helter skelter. “He is dead!”Another person screamed, followed by a loud gunshot outside the conference hall.Rafe shielded me, bodyguards surrounded the place, and when the gunshot stopped, Lana was nowhere to be found. “Search everywhere for her!”Kael ordered, cracking his fingers. ONE MONTH LATERA month passed without a trace of Lana or any information about her whereabouts. Secret spies were sent to the moonclaw pack to search for her, but reports reached me that there wasn’t a trace of her there. Panic set in in the pack, everyone became so scared that Lana had run away and would one day attack us unexpectedly

  • Return Of The Alpha Heiress    Chasing The Enemy Away

Aria’s POVTheir echoes were like music to my ears and fuel increasing the fire in my heart. “She must be exiled!” They echoed in desperation. “What is Aria trying to do?”Lana asked uncomfortably. She sounded so guilty, like she knew I was talking about her. “The right thing, Lana, sit quietly and listen to her, you don't want to miss a single word.”Kael pulled her back into her seat, smiling wickedly. If he hadn’t done that, we both knew that Lana might take an excuse and run away from the conference hall. “So there is someone like that? And they are still living in this pack? I wonder who that is.”Damien sighed, pretending to be hearing that for the first time. Even Rafe and Elias played along. None of them wanted to alert Lana that they knew the person I was referring to. “Alpha Aria?”One of the pack members raised her hand. She shot to her feet when I signalled to her to speak. “Don’t you think we should be fast with the execution? Some of us left our children at home,

  • Return Of The Alpha Heiress    What if?

Aria’s POV“Kael?”Lana called, smiling from ear to ear like she had seen some celebrities. She drew their attention to us and the moment they saw us, their brows creased into a frown. I didn’t know if that was for Lana or me, but I got to find out when they dragged me into a corner. “Why would you invite Lana to a place like this?”They didn’t like the idea because they already knew her plans. “You could have informed me you were holding a conference so that I would plant my guys all over the place.”As Rafe spoke, he was pulling out his phone, then excused himself and stepped away. Elias also showed his displeasure, except for Kael who didn’t utter a word. He already knew that I wanted to exile Lana, “Whatever I say now won’t make you change your mind, right?”Kael asked, and nodded his head when I said yes. “Okay. Then do it if you think it is the right thing. After all, you are the Alpha leader.”Thank goodness. Meanwhile, it surprised me so much that Kael didn’t try to stop

  • Return Of The Alpha Heiress    over my dead body

Aria’s POVOf course, I would have run towards her, gone down on my knees, and cried at her feet to forgive me. But not anymore. I ignored Kael, grabbed one of the mean girls’ collars, and gave her a resounding slap that caused the rest to gasp in shock. No, I didn't stop there; I turned to the o

Aria’s POVShe came home in the middle of the night when everyone, except me has fallen asleep. The moment she saw me, she froze on the stairs, her

  • Return Of The Alpha Heiress    Payback Time

Aria’s POVAlpha Gregory shouldn't be in my pack, especially when he knows that I have ascended to the alpha position. He should have been scared of the outcome, but he didn't. Instead, he came right here just the way he had always done to see Lana. I approached them, each memory of the torment I

  • Return Of The Alpha Heiress    Rejected

Aria's POVThe only thought going through my head at that time was that I didn't want to be where I was. It was night and it was obviously late but the men of Silverclaw Pack didn't give two shits about that. They were throwing some sort of celebration. For what? No idea. Alpha Gregory, who wa
