LOGINAria’s POV
What am I? A go-getter? Jace had no idea what he was talking about.
“Perhaps, did someone tell you I was waiting for you?”
“Oh, not at all, mate.”
Gosh! This is unbearable.
“You rejected me, Jace. You humiliated me in front of…”
He placed a finger on my lips, smiling like an idiot. “Hey, baby. Your face will get wrinkled if you keep being upset.”
I'm losing it.
“Get away from me, Jace! I am no longer interested in you. I wanted you to save me but you wanted them to have their way with me. And now you are back to claim me? You must be out of your mind!”
That was enough to send Jace away, at least that was what I thought. But I was wrong, jace didnt came to leave empty-handed.
“Okay, I will leave because you are upset and I detest infuriating the love of my life.”
When he winked at me before leaving, I nearly got a hold of his neck and pinned him to the tree.
Jace’s confidence was enormous. How could he even think of coming to the Bloodmoon pack to stand in front of me?
If I were him, I would have been so ashamed to stand in front of me.
At the mansion, the servants were busy, running around with trays of food. Others were carrying cleaning items, while others trimmed the precious flowers.
It piqued my curiosity and led me to wonder what was going on.
Nothing interesting happened before I left earlier on. And I never got a hint from any of my brothers that someone important was stopping by.
Could it be one of their ways to welcome me back to the family?
Well, I wouldn't be surprised if they were about to throw another party for me. They'd been doing all they could to spoil me silly.
As I strolled past a group of servants, they halted what they were doing and bowed their heads. I wanted to ask what was going on in the palace, but I decided to let it slide. Whatever it was, I would be cleared inside.
My jaw dropped in awe the moment I stepped inside the extra-large living room.
It was as if the furniture, walls, and floor were polished with grease. It shimmered like a gold piece under the sun.
“What is going on?”
My wolf asked, stretching her paws.
“I have no idea, but we shall soon know.”
As I headed towards the stairs, Elias, shining in his grey suit that suited his skin tone, was stepping down majestically. His hair shone like silk as if it were dipped into a bowl of hair milk.
Unlike the other days, he would leave the house in just a suit, He had his doctor’s coat on and a stethoscope hung over his neck.
Elias was so engrossed in buttoning his sleeve that he didn't notice me until he was halfway down the stairs.
“Little sis?”
His lips curled up in a smile,
“Hi, bro.”
I waved three fingers, smiling at him.
“Care to join me?”
He asked, pausing in front of me.
If not for the fact that he was in his professional uniform, I would have wasted my time, racking my brain to know where he was headed.
And since it was evident that he was going to the hospital, why would I go there?
Among all the places in this world, the hospital is the first place I detested. Maybe it was because the hospital was where my mishap started.
Being swapped right from birth and taken to another place where you weren't created is one of the traumas one would never forget in their entire life.
“Some other time,”
“Alright.”
He shrugged his shoulders, gave me a slight smile, and walked past me.
“He is leaving!”
My wolf snapped in eagerness, causing me to remember I’d wanted to ask Elias why the servants were busy.
“Excuse me please, Elias.”
He stopped walking, then spun around. Since I moved into the pack, I noticed that was his usual way of answering when he was interested in the conversation.
“Are we having a guest?”
He lifted a brow like the question wasn't clear to him.
“The servants are busy, and the dining table is loaded with a variety of food,”
His eyes slid to the dining area and a smirk appeared beside his lips.
“Oh, Lana ordered that.”
Lana? Why would she do that?
“I heard she is expecting a guest… a special guest.”
He exaggerated the last part like the guest wasn't important to him and he wasn't interested in them.
“Who?”
My curiosity wouldn't leave me alone if I didn't know all the details about the guest.
Perhaps, it could be someone I knew. Maybe someone from the Silverclaw pack.
Could it be Alpha Gregory?
My blood boiled under my skin as his thought crossed my mind.
Aside from Jace, the next person I was ready to unleash my revenge on was Gregory. The nonchalant who turned me into an entertainment puppet.
“Don't know,”
He adjusted the stethoscope on his neck.
“And I don't care to know.”
I sighed.
“Oh, okay.”
“But you can ask Kael if it is important to you.”
Then Kael it is!
Fortunately, Kael stepped out of the study room that was behind the staircase. His cologne filled the air as he walked towards us, causing me to shut my eyes and inhale the scent for a few seconds.
“Kael, little sis has something to ask you.”
Elias smoothened my hair, pecked my cheek, and hurried off.
“What is that, Aria? Is someone bothering you?”
Oh, yes, Jace was bothering me and I wished I could tell Kael so he would help me deal with him. But Jace had to pass through the hell I had prepared for him in my hands.
“The servants look busy,”
His eyes darted around, following the movement of the servants who were headed towards the dining area with more fruit.
At that point, I wondered if Lana had invited the whole of the Bloodmoon pack members for a feast.
The table was already adorned with different delicacies that one could ever think of. Why would she waste that much just for some silly delinquents like her?
“Do you not like it?”
Why wouldn't I like it?
“You have the power to stop it, you know. You are the Alpha.”
He added, before I could say a word.
Oh, wow!
I didn't know I had the power to stop anyone from visiting the mansion even if they were invited by Lana.
It would be so much fun if I could stop Lana from receiving the guests. She might even end up shedding tears.
What a good way for a payback.
But it was better to know who was coming over so I would be sure of the decision to make.
If it were Alpha Gregory, I was ready to humiliate and send him back to his pack.
“Who is that?”
Kael paused, then his brows furrowed in a thin frown.
“Heard his name is Jace Hogan,”
Snap!
Jace and Lana? What are the odds!
Could that be my sign of getting back at them?
Hi, guys. Thank you for stopping by to read my book. Kindly support me by reading to the end and leaving your comments too. Your loves keep me motivated.
Aria’s POVOf course, I would have run towards her, gone down on my knees, and cried at her feet to forgive me. But not anymore. I ignored Kael, grabbed one of the mean girls’ collars, and gave her a resounding slap that caused the rest to gasp in shock. No, I didn't stop there; I turned to the other girl and knocked her so hard on her head that she fell butt-flat on the floor. Kael’s jaw dropped, and his countenance immediately changed. He stepped towards me, eyes rolling in wrath to grab my hand, but I didn't let him succeed. I wasn't done with those servants yet; they needed to be taught to stay in their lane.“Listen attentively,” They all turned their attentions to me. “Henceforth, I will not tolerate any form of misconduct from you.”My fingers went from one to another, giving them a stern warning. “Whispering, audible, or behind me, if I figure out that you guys are saying anything stupid about me, you will be fired!”They lowered their heads in shame. “And before I sen
Aria’s POVShe came home in the middle of the night when everyone, except me has fallen asleep. I would have also slept off while waiting for her, but since what I wanted to confront her about was urgent and I couldn't wait, I had to stay awake. The moment she saw me, she froze on the stairs, her hands on her chest as if she was startled to see me right there. The lights were turned off, and I was sitting on the stairs in the dark. So, she must have gotten scared. “You maniac!”She cussed, patting her chest. “What in the world do you think you are doing here? You startled me!”Lana should have fallen off the stairs following the impact of the startle, but she didn't, which means she was never even scared to the brim. I got up, supporting my weight on the railing. I turned on my phone’s torch and flashed it towards her. Lana was drunk, her hair was a mess, and even her dress was so ruffled that one wouldn't have to be told what she did out there. What a shame that after all she d
Aria’s POVAlpha Gregory shouldn't be in my pack, especially when he knows that I have ascended to the alpha position. He should have been scared of the outcome, but he didn't. Instead, he came right here just the way he had always done to see Lana. I approached them, each memory of the torment I experienced from them flashing into my heart like venom. It is so painful, and right there, nothing came to my mind but to humiliate him in front of all the people present in the club.Gregory deserves more than that from me.As I stood in front of them and Lana lifted her head, a smirk appeared on her lips. She scanned me from head to toe, her eyes filled with hatred as if she would pluck out my limbs if she were opportuned. However, she wouldn't dare do that since she knows the consequences. If it were back at the Silverclaw pack, she wouldn't have hesitated to pick on me. Gregory, on the other hand, has his eyes pierced into my skin like a predator. His aura dominated the atmosphere, gi
Aria’s POV“Aria!”My name echoed in the mansion, startling me. I jolted out of bed, clutched my robe, slid my foot in my pink fluffy bunny slippers, and ran out of the room.“Aria!”“Who is making that stupid noise!” Lana yelled, storming out of her room. “This is 6 am for crying out loud. Can't someone have peace in this house?” She hissed loudly and slammed her door shut.“What did you do now, Aria? Go take care of things so I will have a peaceful sleep.”What a lazy girl. She went to bed early the previous day and wasn't done sleeping. Lana should go get a job.“Aria?”Finally, the person who was calling me came up the stairs. It was Kael, and he was fuming in rage. “What did I say about that organization?”Oh, that? He was screaming my name all around because of that? “Didn't I warn you not to think about it anymore?”“What is it, Kael?”Damien stepped out of his room, rubbing his eyes. “It is Aria, she went ahead to register the organization she was talking about yesterday.
Aria’s POVNot do what? Kael must be out of his mind. I didn't bring up the topic for them to choose for me; I didn't want their financial support nor did I need it before I could start. I only told them because they are my brothers and would support me with encouraging words. But they wanted to simulate my mental health because our Mum died from that same sickness? They are just nitwits who didn't know what they were doing. Shouldn't they be happy that I was starting a course to save many lives since they couldn't save her life then? Didn't they manage to find the cure for the sickness after she died? What prompted them to do that? Her death of course. Nothing was going to stop me, not even Kael who is the elder. Since I had already put it in my mind, and I was going to do it. I was ready to see their reactions, and whatever they would do to me. “Are you sure this is a good idea?”Nina asked worriedly, hastening behind me as I was walking so fast. She couldn't even catch up with
Aria’s POVEyes met, and the utensils stopped moving. I could see from their actions that I shouldn't have brought up the topic at that moment. “What does that have to do with you, Aria? It isnt like you are eve their biological sister.”Lana scoffed, picking up a fork. For the first time, none of my brothers stepped in for me. They all looked down so that they didn't even care to shush Lana u. “You can do better than this, Aria. And thanks to you, our appetite is now ruined.”“I wasn't talking to you, Lana. And your opinion isn't needed. Can you wait until your name is called in a conversation before you open that trash of a mouth?”“What!” She fumed. “Are you nuts? Don't you ever send an insult my way again unless you want to see the bad side of me!”What bad side of hers hadnt i seen? “Do not insult me either,”I snapped and took my attention away from her. Thanks to me, the vibrant mood in the dining area had been tampered with. If I knew, I wouldn't have brought up the topic
