Chapter 44

-Audrey POV-

Adler did all he could to stop me from getting back into a fight with Shantel and it worked and I was forced to walk out on both him and Shantel whilst fuming with anger.

If he hadn’t gotten himself involved in the fight, I was sure I would have dealt with her and probably would’ve been forced to use that sword on her.

I still couldn’t believe that she had tried to raise that wan at me, intending to kill me and the thoughts of it was enough to fuel the rage already coursing through my body.

I knew I needed to put her in her place regardless of whatever rank she previously held in this palace.

Her presence and audacity infuriated me to no end and I couldn’t wait to put her in her place.
