-Audrey POV-

"I'm pregnant, King Kaden," Shantel’s words kept ringing over and over in my ears as I held onto my chest tight as if in a bid to rein in the sudden pain I could feel there.

How could she be pregnant for him? This cannot be true!

In my baffled state, I turned to look over at Kaden who also bore a shocked expression that showed that he was not also expecting a news as huge as this… especially not from Shantel.

I could hear his incessant pacing behind me and his low grunts as he walked around but also didn’t miss the cocky smile Shantel had on her face as she looked between the both of us.

To my utter dismay, Kaden didn't say anything to disprove it; he didn't even utter a word and it felt as though I was left alone to battle with this heartbreak on my own.

"Liar! You lie! Shantel. Do you think I do not know what you are trying to do?" I forced out these words from my mouth but she only laughed at me.

Her cockiness, and the smug way she stared at me all pulled me to the c
