Chapter Ten

A Pack Princess’ pain.

A good daughter would have stayed for the funeral, would have helped plan it. I am not a good daughter. But then he wasn’t a good father.

“Oh right!” I respond, what else can I say?

“Did you want to know when it is?” Andrei looks at me with a slight look of annoyance in his eyes. He was either annoyed of my lack of respect for his dead alpha, or that he was expected to travel around the packs. It was really a job for the beta. Which to me signals that all is now well between Henri and William. Perhaps Caleb has now stepped up and the four of them are living in the alpha house. I can see the garish welcome canvas print of Henri, Saskia, Skylar and Caleb in the main hallway. It will be bright and ugly, not Caleb though he looked good in any picture. A sharp pain hits me in my lower abdomen of thinking about Caleb, perhaps my heat was starting again. Great, I best speed up this rogue situation.
