Damon

Dark clouds hovered around the palace like a dark plague. The weather gloomy and unpleasant. My wolf grunted at the overall aura of the atmosphere. “Today feels like a moody one.” I mumbled to myself quietly.

I sat down on the edge of my bed trying to get dressed but a chilling sensation rushed through my body. It was the fingertips of Ember caressing my chest. My wolf huffed in disgust as she whispered into my ear. “Good morning my Alpha…” She gently nibbled on my ear. A pang of annoyance rushed over me.

Without wasting any more time, I gently tilted my shoulders.

” Good morning Ember, I have to attend to an early meeting in the throne room. I got a message from your Father that he wants to see me urgently. Do you have any idea what it’s about?” I turned my neck sideways to gaze into her eyes deeply.

She was taken aback by my sudden question. Her face turned pale in fright. However, she quickly regained her composure. She tried to feign ignorance but her facial expression had guilty written all over it.

“I have no idea my Alpha…but I’m sure he means well. From our last meeting, he was in awe of your leadership and sudden growth in the pack.” She held the hem of her short-silk night gown., while averting my gaze. I stared at her for some few seconds before ending our conversation with a ‘hmph’ expression.

I got dressed in my tailored made suit and designer watch with a lapel pin of my pack’s symbol. I could feel the piercing gaze of her watching my retreating figure but I paid no heed to it.

In the throne room, there was Hunter Rivers of the Rivers’ pack. He was in his early forties yet looked agile in his checked suit holding a well polished cane with a golden handle. He had a upright structure with a well oiled blonde hair all combed back. It had a few gray strands of hair but it only made him look more dignified.

He is Ember’s father and one of my council elders. He was among the richest in the pack so he was someone not to be trifled with. He had a reputation of been ruthless and very protective of his family.

Seeing his facial expression, I could feel a headache was coming up. I took a deep sigh as I approached him. I could feel my wolf been anxious and alert but I sighed to relax him.

“Good morning Alpha, my apologies for the early meeting.” Hunter slightly bowed his head respectfully. He greeted in a formal way, yet his tone was very sharp. I gently tilted my head in approval as I sat down on my large leather chair.

I gestured him to seat on the chair close to me so that the gap between us was small. He sat down graciously and leaned towards me.

“My Alpha,I and my family helped you usurp this throne. We have been your biggest allies, I hope you haven’t forgotten about our agreement?” Hunter said in a hoarse voice. I clenched my fists as I shot him a dark glare. He was taken aback by the change in my demeanor. He pulled back from me slightly.

I had to hold the chair handles tightly just to restrain my wolf who was ready to jump at him. I still needed his support to sway the remaining elders and the pack. “I will repay his arrogance, but not today…” I thought to myself.

I took a wryly sigh as I faced him once more. “I’ve not forgotten Hunter. I kept to our agreement and made your daughter my Luna even though her wolf isn't out yet” I curved my lips slightly. His eyes widened in shock, seconds later he snapped back to reality. He cleared his throat to re-affirm himself.

“Cough..my family are truly grateful for your patience and understanding, I simply wanted to remind you of our long-standing partnership. It has come to my attention that there are whispers in the palace that you’re still pinning over the sale of that low-life omega Aurora to the Silverfang pack. There are even rumors that she was attacked in their kingdom recently, but their Alpha Darius has taken a huge interest in her these past months. She even sleeps in his private chambers..” Hunter said with a cheeky smile on his face. This conversation was beginning to feel like a chess match to see who will outwit the other.

My wolf continued to be restless but I knew I could not show any emotions in front of him. I managed to calm my wolf down before addressing my father-in-law again.

“I have promised to uphold my own part of the agreement. I have zero interest on what happens in Darius’ kingdom, and the worthless omega who was sold as a breeder.” I replied in a stern tone. Hunter gently bowed and respectfully took his leave. I watched his retreating figure exit the palace. When he left, I remained on my seat pondering on who will attack Aurora. “Why will anyone attack her? Why was she be sleeping in Darius’ bed chambers..? I mumbled to myself. All my thoughts returned to one person who will want her to disappear permanently, and that person will be Ember.

Darius“Damon, what’s he doing here?” I asked myself. It wasn’t uncommon for Alphas to visit other kingdoms unannounced. However, due to the last conflict we faced. It has already increased the cold tension between our packs.Meanwhile, I found myself in turmoil. "What were his motives? Could it be about...” I mumbled to myself. Within quick seconds, I slightly loosened my grip of her hands, and she dashed off before I could say anything to her.I watched her retreating figure and took a deep sigh as a beautiful moment was interrupted by none other than Cameron again.“Cameron!” My wolf growled, getting ready to lunge at him. I shot him a dark glare, which took him aback. He immediately knelt on one knee with his head slightly bowed down.“My Alpha, forgive my interruption. I will accept any punishment you give to me.” He said in a serious tone, which took me aback.I stared at him for a few minutes before I managed to restrain my wolf. I took a weary sigh and replied, “You should tie

AuroraLooking at Alpha Darius at the gym brought back all the pain I faced while I was still in Moonfall pack. The constant mind games and manipulations. Constantly treating me like a personal pet.“I know Darius is different, but sometimes he can really push my buttons.” I thought to myself as I saw the smug on his face. He had a cheeky smile which infuriated me more. I didn’t even realize when raven was trying to signal me to greet him. At that moment, I wish I could wipe that smirk off his face. But, I know that was the end of me. I regained my composure and greeted him respectfully. Before he left, he had a puzzled look on his face, like he had no idea what he was saying to me. Suddenly, I felt a tap on my back.“What happened, did something occur between the two of you?” Raven had a befuddled look on her face. I didn’t have the words to express what I felt in my heart. I could only nod my head in denial. Raven could tell there were some things left unsaid but decided to let them

DariusI walked into the palace from my usual morning exercise. As a hybrid Alpha, I don’t really need to do work-outs to keep my self in shape as I genetically have a muscular physique with good metabolisms. I still have to keep my strength and endurance so as not to appear weak to anyone who is willing to challenge me.I was enjoying the humming sounds of the birds in their nests in the trees. It gave me an harminous feeling and relief hearing their beautoful sounds. It really kicked start my day in a happy mood.“Good morning Alpha.” The workers greeted me in unison as I walked past them as I tried to follow the humming sounds.“Thank y'all.” I said with a broad smile on my face. This took them with surprise as they gasped in awe. I wasn’t known to have a warm personality especially among the people who worked in the palace.I tried to remain fair and unbiased while giving them orders. But, I tried not to get too friendly with them. So, when I answered them in a joyful manner they

Aurora“I want you to give yourself to me, not just as my breeder…” I kept pondering on that statement. “What does he mean by that?” I thought to myself. I felt a heaviness in my heart as I continued to think deeper into what he said.“Does he think I’m only with him as his breeder?” I clenched my fists as I continued my sparring session with Raven. Today, she joined me to observe my progress. For the few weeks, I have been training alone to get in shape with my routines, and it has shown in my overall fitness and durability. So I was eager to show all what I have learnt on my own as she has been busy training the new recruits who were formerly rogues into the army. The situation along the border has gotten more intense so everyone is on high alert. Unfortunately, I seemed to be off with my rhtym today. Instantly, I found myself face flat on the ground after a quick manuver she did to me.“You seem distracted today, like you have forgotten all your training. I have gotten report th

AuroraI continued my training drills that she taught me some weeks back. I also noticed my body slowly changing. I no more felt like I was underfed, also during these few weeks I started to feel like myself. My body was toning up nicely, and from the stolen gazes all around the palace. People were also taking notice. “I wonder if he also observed my body changes.” I thought to myself.Just the thought of him alone checking me out made my cheeks turn pink while blushing. I quickly snapped back before anyone caught me. I returned to my stances. I continued practising with my plastic batons, I always came to the gym early, so I felt free stretching my arms and legs in full swings.Suddenly, I threw my arm aggressively in the air. I felt someone catching my baton.“Be careful how you swing it, you might encounter someone.” Darius said in a calm voice. I tried to release my baton from his hand but it proved unsuccessful. This only amused him even more.“I know what I’m doing.” I pouted. W

Damon“Here you are!” I curved my lip slightly. Ember feigned ignorance since the news of the issue with Aurora. I could sense her awkwardness around me as she tiptoed around me.“I dunno what you’re trying to imply, but I only mean that low-life doesn’t deserve all this much attention. It’s best we forget about her once and for all.” Ember said with an unconvincing voice.I looked at her for some few seconds without replying, Finally, I took a weary sigh. “ Aurora means nothing to me, I’ve told you this many times. Clashing with the Silverfang pack right now isn’t beneficial to us.” I told her in a sharp tone. Discussing political objectives wasn’t among the list of things I wished to discuss with her Yet, I found myself doing the exact same thing. My wolf was already exasperated with all the chaos and just wanted us to leave. But, I knew if I stepped out, it will only worsen the entire situation.“I keep saying this to you. YOU’RE MY LUNA!” I snapped. Ember was taken aback, but she
