Kai:

My lips brushed over Irina’s before a cry of fear came from downstairs, clearly coming from one of the pack members, forcing the two of us apart as the two of us processed the sound.

I frowned in confusion, and despite her fatigue, even Irina got up from bed, now ready to fight.

Her eyes were a dark shade of golden as her wolf made herself known, and though I went to shake my head at her, wanting to stop her, I knew not to. At this point, she was going to need to get her anger out in her own way. And staying in the room all day was not going to do her any good eventually.

The two of us ran out of the room, and I frowned when I saw Annetta’s body thrown in front of the house door.

“Be thankful for the fact that I chose ONE over the three omegas that you had killed.” Viktor said, reading a paper. Irina’s heart raced, and she shook her head, not wanting to believe that this was happening.
