Changing into a human was so painful that I almost fainted from it. My wounds didn’t magically disappear or stay the same during my change in fact they grew from my skin being stretched out. The open cuts tore open more and blood gushed out from my wounds on my arms, shoulders, and back.

The piece of glass that was embedded in my hand was the worst of it all though because I could feel as if it dug deeper into the muscles in my palm. I could hardly make out anything when I was finally shifted into a human. The black shadows around my vision were growing and what other colors I could see was blurry.

I knew that I was on the brink of passing out but I couldn’t yet. Not yet. I had to stay strong for my pack damn it I was their leader. I bit the inside of my cheek in concentration, slowly forcing my eyes to focus on Six. It took me a second to do it but when I did I felt a little relieved. At one point during my change she had shifted her gaze towards me but Six had yet to notice me yet.

Lunar’s point of ViewDo Gods have a heart? Yes we do. Do Gods fall in love? Yes we do. And I proved it all. Love was a damn curse I never wanted. Even I tried to confront my sister about why she didn’t spare me. She said love is for everyone, human, supernatural and even deities. Unavoidable. Where you like it or not. I remembered the first time I saw Fenrir and howled my name. It was magical, it was pure bond. I felt it. He felt it. We knew we were destined together. But I was wrong. He never really meant for me. I loved him, he did love me until she came, Amelia, Fenrir’s mate, his destined pair. She wasn’t a Goddess, just a healer. Everybodu adored him and so was fenrir. When pain inhibit your heart, it’ll drive you insane. That what happened to me. I killed Amelia. Rip her body and took his heart. I showed to Fenrir, I showed him how painful was it when someone you love was lost and betrayed you. Fenrir didn’t take the pain and grieve well. He shifted into his large wolf caus

Kayah’s point of viewIt was strange to wake up, my brain was fuzzy and my neck felt as if it was going to snap if I tried to lift up my incredibly heavy head. At first I couldn’t place where it was that I was at because everything was just a blur. The constantly moving things made my stomach pitch uneasily and a groan spilled out of my lips. Was I still in the street? I wondered vaguely, trying to focus my eyes on something solid. In the end it all just gave me more of a headache so I closed my eyes and tried another tactic.Taking in a deep breath through my nose helped me calm down as well as help me determine where it was I was at. A comforting sort of feeling washed over me when I recognized where it was that I was at. The heavy woodsy smell with a hint of musk and rain could only mean one thing. I was back at home with Six. Once I realized that it was like a tight seal had opened in my mind; I felt the thick warm blankets on the bed that I had slept in countless times before, t

  • The Rogue's Little Mate   Chapter 137: Pleasure

My wolf half was going crazy with need. Need to be completed, to be tamed, to be mated, but I couldn’t let that happen. I had to hold this thirst for him at bay because it was the only thing keeping me safe from Luis. It was the only thing holding him back.I let out a whimper as I forced my head to its side, exposing my neck to him even more. His hot breath scalded me, and the feel of his mouth against my flesh made me shiver. When his lips parted and his sharpened teeth closed delicately over the tendon that ran from neck to shoulder, my shivering turned into a shudder, and my whimper turned to moans. His rough tongue rasped against my soft skin, and he groaned.“Never leaving your side again.” He growled, his hard hand touched my cheek and forced upright. There was no moment for me to think before I felt his hot lips pressing down against my own. I hardly even felt the contact because something inside of me just snapped. In that one single kiss everything was made clear. Every feel

With a moan I moved my long hair to the side, exposing my neck to my mate and pressed my bottom firmly against him. He didn’t keep me waiting. There was a loud roar of approval before his teeth sank deep into the spot where shoulder meets neck, and his cock penetrated my tight entrance.I cried out from the sharp pain and my arms gave out in front of me. Six didn’t loosen his bit on my neck as he followed me down to the bed. My legs would have given out too if it hadn’t been for his claws latching onto my hips and keeping me in place. I let out another scream of pain as he dug his teeth deeper into my skin, making sure that the Mark was deep enough to scar.I could feel the blood dripping down my neck and it was just as warm as my tears on my cheeks. The pain in that moment was great, so great that it drowned out any pleasure I had been feeling until I was shaking from pain. It felt like an eternity had passed until Six finally peeled his sharp fangs out of my skin. His rough warm ton

I groaned. My arm reached out, fumbling across the floor until my fingers found the buzzing phone. The screen glowed in the dark.Maryan.I sat up straight. My heart was already racing. No one called at this hour unless it was bad.I answered. “Hello?”Her voice cracked. “Kayah… he’s gone.”“What?” My voice came out sharp, shaking. “Who?”“Kellan. They—they took him. I’m sorry. I couldn’t stop them. Red tried, he’s..he’s bleeding, bad.”My chest went tight. My hands started shaking.“Where are you?”“At my house. Hurry.”I didn’t waste a second.“Six! Get up!” I shouted, already pulling on pants and boots. He groaned. “Wh—what?”“They took our son.”That woke him up.He didn’t ask anything else. He was up, dressed, and running after me into the night. We drove to Maryan’s house. We needed to stay calm. Think. But I could feel the wolf under my skin. Angry. Pacing. Ready to rip the world apart. The night air was cold. Stars blinked above. The moon hid behind clouds. My feet hit the

“Babe listen we-”“Kellan!’ I screamed.I searched the area. Nothing. No more scent trail. No sounds. Just that burning circle and silence.“Kellan!” I shouted again into the night. My voice echoed, bouncing back empty.I fell to my knees. My baby was gone. And not even the wind could tell me where.I pressed my hand to the grass where he’d been taken. It was still warm.My fingers tingle..Then, I heard something.A whisper. Soft. Like a breeze.“Kayah…”I looked up. The trees shifted slightly. Then it stopped.Six didn’t hear it. Only me.“Bitch,” I said and she just laughed. “You couldn’t have that’s you took me son?”No answer.I heard a chuckle like the bitch was amused. “You so Hailey,” Lunar said. “I don’t care about whatever image you took,” I said. “Seven and I had a history.”I swallowed hard. “Maybe it’s time for you to tell him about her.”“Shut up!” I screamed. “Ayah,” Six whispered. “Let's go back.”We returned to Maryan’s.Red was still breathing. My pack has decided to end everything and take back what they used to own, their dignity, they castle. Seven his real reclaimed the name and that the Moon Goddess has crossed the line. “I know it’ll be dangerous, but this is for our son. I want him and neither would I give you to her,” I said when I’m done telling him Hailey was actually Lunar and that she tricked him. Seven was speechless when he heard it but it didn’t change the fact that she has our child. Seven took the alpha position and talked to the pack mate, the rogues who had been in the human settlement howl, ready to reclaim the throne and their home. “Are you sure about this Red?” I asked her to utter a spell, a spell that would prevent Lunar from tricking Seven again. Now that Red has become apparent, he told us he was actually ex-deity and used to side with Lunar back then. He admitted Lunar was delusional and told us about her tale, about her falling in love with Fenrir only to break her heart in the process. He

Defeated, I started the journey back to our apartment. I knew she would show up eventually, just like every other time she left.Letting my mind wander, I turned the corners while walking back to our rented house. I passed street sign after street sign, worn down building after worn down building. The town was old and dusty to say the least. As I walked, I planned out what I would do for the rest of the day. The only thing that kept me going now was that I had to find my son and take him back with me. Time seemed to fly while I thought about the reason why I was away from my pack and to Seven, and after about twenty minutes of breathing in smoke and dirt-filled air, I arrived at the door to the apartment building. The apartment buildings we lived in strongly represented a motel and were the cheapest housing options around. I didn't particularly like it, but it was all we needed so no one would suspect me.Sighing, I walked up the concrete steps and opened the wooden door, only to rev

The hospital room was too quiet. The only sound was the soft beeping of the machine beside me and the slow ticking of the clock on the wall. I couldn’t move much. My chest was still aching badly. Every breath felt like it might tear me open again.I lay still, watching the ceiling, trying not to think. Then I heard the door open.My hands tightened under the blanket as I smelled who it was. Axel. He walked in, pushing a cart of food. His footsteps were calm, too calm for my liking. I didn’t dare look at him right away. I stared at the wall instead. My heart was beating faster. I didn’t know if he was angry. I didn’t know if he was going to yell. Or worse.“You’re awake,” he said, his voice quiet but firm.I nodded a little. My throat felt dry.He moved the cart closer and uncovered the plates. Warm steam rose into the air. It smelled like soup and bread. I haven't eaten since... I couldn’t remember. But the sight of food didn’t comfort me.“You need to eat,” he said. “Your wound won’

The next few scenes were me being punched, kicked and slapped to almost make me pass out. My throat was already hurting due to the constant scream of vegging and leaving me alone. My chest started to bleed again and it stained the oversized white shirt Axel had given me. My screams were now replaced with loud sobs that made my lungs ache. I looked up in fear as the unknown man advanced towards me. He took a deep breath through his nose, and a wide smile spread across his face. Slowly, he walked towards me with deliberate and smooth steps. With each step he took, the malicious grin on his face got wider. I had scooted myself into a corner to try and escape his gaze and ferocity, and as he came to stand in front of me I tried pleading once more. "Please. I am begging you. Just leave me alone. You don't have to do this!" My words came out as sobs. "Shut up! You’re just a slave! You do not talk to me like that!" With another deep breath through his nose, he crouched down next to me a

I woke up to sunlight shining in my face, and the sound of a girl screaming. The sound was excruciatingly loud and sent chills up my spine. Above the screaming, I could hear Axel’s voice shouting. I couldn't make out the words, but he sounded furious and excited. The screaming continued for about another minute, until it slowly died down. The entire time this was happening, I sat cowering in the corner of my room, fearing I would be next to be screaming like that. But I made my decisions…to play safe..After what seemed like an eternity, I heard a door slam and footsteps coming my way. I cringed back in fear and huddled against the wall. The freshly stitched wounds on my chest reminded me of Axel’s brutality, and I didn't want to see what he was like when he was mad. My door was pushed open to reveal-of course- an infuriated Axel. He looked at my small frame huddled in the corner farthest from him, and smiled. I felt no comfort from his expression, only more fear. He stepped forward

I kept my head down and watched his feet as he approached me. Before I knew it, he was right next to me, lifting my chin upwards to look at his face. I tried to keep my eyes averted from his gaze and stop the tears that threatened to come again. "Look at me." His hot breath growled into my face.I slowly brought my eyes up to meet his. They were a deep, voidless black. This was the first good look I had gotten at his eyes and I hoped it would be my last. His black hair hung to the side with a few pieces escaping to fall on his forehead. A square jaw held light pink lips that always seemed to be smirking at me. His face was completely devoid of emotion, even though he was smirking. His eyes held nothing but emptiness and he looked at me as weak. It was terrifying being this close to him, and I could tell he knew I was uncomfortable. His hand grew tighter on my chin as I struggled desperately to free my head from his grip. I was beyond scared and wanted to be as far away from him as I

The envelope was brown. It doesn’t have a receiver or sender name.I should have felt it then, the warning, the poison in the air.Curious, I opened it anyway. The photograph slid out with a whisper.Seven’s face hit me first and beside him was a familiar face, too familiar, his arm wrapped around her. Hailey. The Moon Goddess. Her lips curved in a smirk so triumphant it made me sick. And between them was a baby. My baby.I staggered back a step, as if the floor itself had betrayed me. The little boy nestled in Hailey’s arms was unmistakable, the soft curl of his hair, the tiny birthmark on his cheek, a mark I knew because I had kissed it a thousand times. His smile, the one he used to give me, now aimed at her. At them. The baby I thought was kidnapped. My knees buckled. The pain wasn’t sharp. It was deep, an endless splitting inside my chest, like I was being hollowed out from the inside. Seven didn’t even look guilty. He looked proud. As if he belonged there, next to her, instead o

  • The Rogue's Little Mate   Chapter 154: Proposal

I awoke in my stall on the bed. Light was streaming through the small window high above me. The ferals outside were noisy and I could hear that they were tearing something apart. The sound was like squelching, like flesh tearing from bones or I don’t even want to know it. But because I was freaking curious, I stood up, despite the protest of my chest and looked at the small hole in my room. And there it was. A body was torn apart, the ferals were fighting, playing tag, trying to have a large portion.“So, who was it again?” I heard someone speak up. “The other man that the king found three weeks ago,” a man said. “Oh, the one who kept on resisting?”“Yes. Unfortunately, the king’s patience ran out and he fed him to his dog.”“Well, all of those who resist him always end up being fed to these beasts,” the other man replied, which scared me. Axel must have moved me from the floor to my bed and I was glad I was asleep for that. The pain of walking or being carried would have been uni

My mouth instantly began to water. He saw me staring at his hands and laughed aloud this time. "Oh, is my little mate? Hungry?" All I could do was nod intently. It had been days since I had anything to eat or drink, and the result of that was starting to weigh upon me."Well, why don't you come over to me and get it then?" Axel looked at me with danger in his eyes. He knew I refused, he’ll just going to do what he wanted and if I talk back, Fenrir will have mercy on me. Once I realized he was serious and the only way for me to get the piping hot bowl of newly cooked meat was to walk over to him, I almost screamed in frustration. He put me through it all, he tortured me and now I'm just supposed to walk it off?! Unbelievable. Despite what I thought though, he wasn't going to give me any food until I came over to him. I began to muster up all my strength and courage even if the thing on my chest hurts like hell. It didn’t dry up or at least close. In fact it went deeper in my flesh,

Jefferson led me back to my room. “I’m sorry,” I said, almost in a whisper.Jefferson halted and turned around to me. “Yeah, whatever. It’s too late,” he replied and assumed walking. “Just to let you know, Axel doesn't have plans on letting you live for too long. I shouldn’t tell you this but well, maybe I thought you deserve to know.”When we reached my room, he opened the door and I entered inside before.him slamming the door and locking it. Inside, I saw that the haystack was gone and replaced by a bed. I laid there for at least an hour. My eyes grew heavy and exhaustion threatened to overtake me, but I refused to fall asleep. I needed to get out of this torture house and back to my pack. How that would happen- I had no idea. I hoped beyond hope that Axel wouldn't be the one to come back and get me. If I saw him again I might pass out, just out of pure terror. He scared me beyond what I could handle right now, and I couldn't handle very much. With every second that went by I

Before I could process his change of mood, he had my wrists bound in silver handcuffs above my head. I hissed but I still tried to bring them down but a clink of metal and the sensation of being burned without fire prevented me from doing that. Axel had my arms chained above my head to where I was already tiptoeing. I could barely reach the floor. A smirk was now on his face as he stared at me, helpless. I let a whimper escape my lips as all courage drained from my body. Axel only smiled more at that, taking delight in my pain and fear. He now paraded around the room, making his way towards the hot coals in the fire pit. He then tossed more charcoal. “It seemed that you still didn’t know what you were here?” He looked at me expectedly to answer the question. Of course I knew. I knew because he already told me but I pretended I didn’t. “I didn’t.” I tried to lie and spit back at him, but my words only came out as a whimper. Axel laughed at that but didn’t reach his eyes. He step
