Kayah’s Point of ViewI was soon in the midst of a group of people, it was made up of both male and female wolves who were attending the party, they were laughing and discussing something that I soon lost interest in, more like bragging about their packs and how organized and strong it was. Oh yes, I forgot packs of Alphas were also here. Just how many did Seven invite here just to me, his ‘mate’? Ron also mentioned to me about Seven trying to pair the rogues and packs that didn’t find their mates from the previous mating ball. Basically, it is the second mating ball organized by the King of rogues.I didn’t know anything about Sabrina’s pack so I quietly sipped from my champagne glass and pretended to be interested. It was comfortable to be around people my age and no one was releasing their pheromones or I would have found it difficult to stay upright and that might give my identity away.Suddenly I noticed my ‘loving’ siblings strolling over to where the group was. Eliza and Brian
Axel’s Point of ViewLooking out from my window, the moon was calling me. The gentle breeze gave me the smell of rich pine, awakening my senses even further. It was almost three, close to two hours before the rest of the pack rose at dawn. My wolf was agitated, I had neglected his need for freedom for too long. I needed to shift.Walking down stairs, I made my way past the living room almost tripping on that fucking rug, again.Christ, I have to remember to get rid of that thing. It's fucking ugly anyway.Creaking as if in protest of being woken, I opened the front door, inviting the wild to me. One deep inhale and he stirs. Ears prick. Eyes track the blanket of clouds above. He snarls with impatience and as my bare feet stride across the thickets of grass below, he breaks through. His howl is primal. Raw. Fierce.Taking off like a bird in flight, I am but a bystander as he takes control. The dirt beneath him ricochets behind like a field of arrows as he dives deeper into the forest a
Axel’s Point of viewWho needs a mate when you’re comfortable with someone else? As I stepped into my house,I already smelt her before I could see her. Stalking my way up to my master bedroom, I knew Alice was waiting for me. Not going to lie, we'd been fucking for months but it was understood that's all it was. I knew she felt the same.I've never been one to wait for my Luna, and nor would I demand her too either. It would be ignorant to expect wolves to maintain a vow of chastity when fucking was in our very nature. As long as they were two consenting adults, I could give two fucks who anyone slept with. Making love though, is something I longed to experience, but tonight I had other plans. I just needed an escape. Her shadow gave way to her form as I opened my door. There was no denial from me that she was a beautiful she-wolf. I eyed her hungrily as she stood facing the glass window, gazing at the scenery below. She knew I was watching her and she fucking loved it, the essence o
Axel’s Point of ViewThis territory belongs to Seven, the king of the Rogues.Eyeing the Rogues patrolling in the distance, I stifled a snarl, angry on behalf of those who lost so much. This pack used to be the top pack of the Pack Kingdom. They were strongest, and the ones who went against the Rogue and Pack’s cease-fire. Their Alpha’s mistake resulted in their demise and the Pack king could only watch them being torn apart. First their Alpha in childbirth, and then faced with the choice of their land or their lives. It had become a ghost town, decimated by greed and a flagrant disregard to the suffering of others. One of the strongest packs had been flattened in an instant, a cruel warning of how quickly tides can turn."Neve, you're leading north-east, James, start south-west and disperse the surroundings. We stalk in linear to the kill zone, distract and attack just like we planned, but leave him for me."“What about the rogues? They might be a problem.”“We’re not touching them.
Kayah’s Point of ViewMy breaths became labored as the tattoo in my hand tingles, it started to hurt at a point and I hissed in pain. I have a mate and a king of Rogues trying to claim me despite not his true mate?‘What would they do if they found out that I was not the healer? What if they found out that I’m just a weak omega?’So many questions were running through my mind that I found it hard to breathe, it felt like I was detached from reality, I could see Axel’s lips moving but I couldn’t hear a word, black spots dotted my view. The darkness threatened to engulf me and I passed out with hopes that everything that was happening was just a crazy dream that I would soon wake up to,I woke up sprawled in the center of a king sized bed. I was squirming, my hands tightly held on to a fistful of clothes while my eyes were tightly shut. I was in so much discomfort but there was no one around to help.I was stuck in a nightmare that replayed in my head like a reel. In it, I was in the mi
But something was nagging behind my head. It’s the Demon Alpha. I forgot something about him… something seemed so important.I shrugged and I was lost in my thoughts while enjoying his company. At that moment, my stomach made a funny sound, which embarrassed me.“My lady-” Seven started but I cut him off.“Kayah, call me Kayah, your majesty.”“Seven. It is my name. I believe you know it!” He snapped, scaring me and recoiled from his touch. “We are mates and it feels wrong when you address me like a stranger.”“Oh, it’s my fault. I’ll call you Seven then.” I tried to sound calm but I was scared and was worried. I knew that he didn’t have a loving side but that didn’t change the fact that maybe there was another side of him that I wanted to see, not the side of him that caused other Alphas and kings to behave like rabbits before a predator while they were around him. Yes, I had heard a lot of things about him the previous night, but he was my mate and I was willing to give him the ben
Kayah’s Point of ViewSeven probably expected me to disagree, argue with him or even throw tantrums but none of that happened. My docile actions made him feel happy. I could see it. “Come on.” He took my hand in his and led me out of the room. “We are having breakfast with some of the important royal members.”“Why?” I demanded.Seven didn’t get angry.“Because you have to.”I was nervous. Why do I have to meet his royal members so soon? I have to be careful.“Just for a proper introduction,” he said.I didn’t even notice that there were no guards in the hallway, I was staring at the ground as they walked, thinking about how the breakfast might end up being a disaster. “You are a healer, you submit to no one else but me. Do not show anyone a weak side, only me can see that side of you. You are their leader, everyone else but me is below you. Raise your head!” Seven ordered in a cold tone of voice that gave no room for objection. It was like something clicked at the back of my mind
“Are you the Lady?” The boy asked the question in his mind, probably even in the minds of everyone that was present. They were probably curious but they dare not voice out their questions in fear of upsetting their King.“Yes, my name is Sabrina Moonheart.” I lied as I subconsciously touched the tiara on my head.“You are a real healer!” The boy said a little too loud then he turned his head, looking for his mother who was sitting several seats away. “Mama! I told you! She is like a princess from the fairytales. Do you have a prince too?”I quickly glanced at Sevenl with a genuine smile. “In fact, I do.”“Is it me?” The child asked.I burst into laughter at the child’s innocent question but someone besides her didn’t find it funny. I could feel something rising from him.“No silly, It’s not you but I have a special role for you, why don’t you be my protector? What do you say?” I placed a hand over Seven in an attempt to console him.“I accept, but can I get chocolate, lots of them.” T
The next few scenes were me being punched, kicked and slapped to almost make me pass out. My throat was already hurting due to the constant scream of vegging and leaving me alone. My chest started to bleed again and it stained the oversized white shirt Axel had given me. My screams were now replaced with loud sobs that made my lungs ache. I looked up in fear as the unknown man advanced towards me. He took a deep breath through his nose, and a wide smile spread across his face. Slowly, he walked towards me with deliberate and smooth steps. With each step he took, the malicious grin on his face got wider. I had scooted myself into a corner to try and escape his gaze and ferocity, and as he came to stand in front of me I tried pleading once more. "Please. I am begging you. Just leave me alone. You don't have to do this!" My words came out as sobs. "Shut up! You’re just a slave! You do not talk to me like that!" With another deep breath through his nose, he crouched down next to me a
I woke up to sunlight shining in my face, and the sound of a girl screaming. The sound was excruciatingly loud and sent chills up my spine. Above the screaming, I could hear Axel’s voice shouting. I couldn't make out the words, but he sounded furious and excited. The screaming continued for about another minute, until it slowly died down. The entire time this was happening, I sat cowering in the corner of my room, fearing I would be next to be screaming like that. But I made my decisions…to play safe..After what seemed like an eternity, I heard a door slam and footsteps coming my way. I cringed back in fear and huddled against the wall. The freshly stitched wounds on my chest reminded me of Axel’s brutality, and I didn't want to see what he was like when he was mad. My door was pushed open to reveal-of course- an infuriated Axel. He looked at my small frame huddled in the corner farthest from him, and smiled. I felt no comfort from his expression, only more fear. He stepped forward
I kept my head down and watched his feet as he approached me. Before I knew it, he was right next to me, lifting my chin upwards to look at his face. I tried to keep my eyes averted from his gaze and stop the tears that threatened to come again. "Look at me." His hot breath growled into my face.I slowly brought my eyes up to meet his. They were a deep, voidless black. This was the first good look I had gotten at his eyes and I hoped it would be my last. His black hair hung to the side with a few pieces escaping to fall on his forehead. A square jaw held light pink lips that always seemed to be smirking at me. His face was completely devoid of emotion, even though he was smirking. His eyes held nothing but emptiness and he looked at me as weak. It was terrifying being this close to him, and I could tell he knew I was uncomfortable. His hand grew tighter on my chin as I struggled desperately to free my head from his grip. I was beyond scared and wanted to be as far away from him as I
The envelope was brown. It doesn’t have a receiver or sender name.I should have felt it then, the warning, the poison in the air.Curious, I opened it anyway. The photograph slid out with a whisper.Seven’s face hit me first and beside him was a familiar face, too familiar, his arm wrapped around her. Hailey. The Moon Goddess. Her lips curved in a smirk so triumphant it made me sick. And between them was a baby. My baby.I staggered back a step, as if the floor itself had betrayed me. The little boy nestled in Hailey’s arms was unmistakable, the soft curl of his hair, the tiny birthmark on his cheek, a mark I knew because I had kissed it a thousand times. His smile, the one he used to give me, now aimed at her. At them. The baby I thought was kidnapped. My knees buckled. The pain wasn’t sharp. It was deep, an endless splitting inside my chest, like I was being hollowed out from the inside. Seven didn’t even look guilty. He looked proud. As if he belonged there, next to her, instead o
I awoke in my stall on the bed. Light was streaming through the small window high above me. The ferals outside were noisy and I could hear that they were tearing something apart. The sound was like squelching, like flesh tearing from bones or I don’t even want to know it. But because I was freaking curious, I stood up, despite the protest of my chest and looked at the small hole in my room. And there it was. A body was torn apart, the ferals were fighting, playing tag, trying to have a large portion.“So, who was it again?” I heard someone speak up. “The other man that the king found three weeks ago,” a man said. “Oh, the one who kept on resisting?”“Yes. Unfortunately, the king’s patience ran out and he fed him to his dog.”“Well, all of those who resist him always end up being fed to these beasts,” the other man replied, which scared me. Axel must have moved me from the floor to my bed and I was glad I was asleep for that. The pain of walking or being carried would have been uni
My mouth instantly began to water. He saw me staring at his hands and laughed aloud this time. "Oh, is my little mate? Hungry?" All I could do was nod intently. It had been days since I had anything to eat or drink, and the result of that was starting to weigh upon me."Well, why don't you come over to me and get it then?" Axel looked at me with danger in his eyes. He knew I refused, he’ll just going to do what he wanted and if I talk back, Fenrir will have mercy on me. Once I realized he was serious and the only way for me to get the piping hot bowl of newly cooked meat was to walk over to him, I almost screamed in frustration. He put me through it all, he tortured me and now I'm just supposed to walk it off?! Unbelievable. Despite what I thought though, he wasn't going to give me any food until I came over to him. I began to muster up all my strength and courage even if the thing on my chest hurts like hell. It didn’t dry up or at least close. In fact it went deeper in my flesh,
Jefferson led me back to my room. “I’m sorry,” I said, almost in a whisper.Jefferson halted and turned around to me. “Yeah, whatever. It’s too late,” he replied and assumed walking. “Just to let you know, Axel doesn't have plans on letting you live for too long. I shouldn’t tell you this but well, maybe I thought you deserve to know.”When we reached my room, he opened the door and I entered inside before.him slamming the door and locking it. Inside, I saw that the haystack was gone and replaced by a bed. I laid there for at least an hour. My eyes grew heavy and exhaustion threatened to overtake me, but I refused to fall asleep. I needed to get out of this torture house and back to my pack. How that would happen- I had no idea. I hoped beyond hope that Axel wouldn't be the one to come back and get me. If I saw him again I might pass out, just out of pure terror. He scared me beyond what I could handle right now, and I couldn't handle very much. With every second that went by I
Before I could process his change of mood, he had my wrists bound in silver handcuffs above my head. I hissed but I still tried to bring them down but a clink of metal and the sensation of being burned without fire prevented me from doing that. Axel had my arms chained above my head to where I was already tiptoeing. I could barely reach the floor. A smirk was now on his face as he stared at me, helpless. I let a whimper escape my lips as all courage drained from my body. Axel only smiled more at that, taking delight in my pain and fear. He now paraded around the room, making his way towards the hot coals in the fire pit. He then tossed more charcoal. “It seemed that you still didn’t know what you were here?” He looked at me expectedly to answer the question. Of course I knew. I knew because he already told me but I pretended I didn’t. “I didn’t.” I tried to lie and spit back at him, but my words only came out as a whimper. Axel laughed at that but didn’t reach his eyes. He step
“I heard him yesterday saying someone will arrive and that someone will occupy that space,” another voice spoke up. “I didn’t know it was also a pack wolf. You’re not a feral.”“Yes,” I replied. “I was trapped, sold and purchased by Axel,” I said and heard everyone gasping. “Don’t mention his name. He can hear it,” Anna said, I heard a hint of fear.I sighed. Just as I was about to ask another question, a sound came from outside. The ferals stop growling and whine instead. Everyone quickly hushed their voices as the cabin doors creaked open. Footsteps echoed along the pavement and down the way next to my room. There they stopped, and hands started fiddling with the lock to my door. After a faint click the heavy wooden door was pushed open to reveal Axel. He stared in the room, looking at me expectedly. What did he expect me to do? I’m not just going to willingly go to him…With an angry grunt he marched into my room and picked me up by the wrist. I was then dragged across the cabin
