Selene nods her head once in my direction.

“It will work, Serafina. Have I ever lied to you?”

“No,” Selene has never lied to me, though she has steered me wrong once or twice.

Not that the Moon Goddess would take any blame for such a thing. Selene makes no mistakes, according to her, and it’s the rest of us who fail.
