INICIAR SESIÓNThe ringing of the alarm broke my sleep.
"I need to sleep more, Mom..." I blurted out, pressing a pillow to my ear. But the next moment, my eyes flew open immediately as I remembered I was no longer in my room. I sat up at once and switched off the alarm before looking around. My two roommates were already awake. Aspen was getting ready without paying any attention to me, whereas there was no sign of Lana. She might be in the bathroom. Then it dawned on me that today was our first day at the academy. I rubbed my eyes, still feeling sleepy. How was I supposed to focus on my classes? First, the long journey, and then that disgusting coronation ceremony. I didn’t even get a good night’s sleep, thanks to those elite seniors. And not to mention the sadness of separating from my mom. I felt like crying. A strong urge rose inside me to leave everything here, run to my mom, and hug her. I gritted my teeth in frustration, closing my eyes because even if I wanted to, I couldn’t. All because of Him and those Bastards. "Get ready quickly. We’re running late." Lana said as she came out of the bathroom. I sighed and lazily climbed off the bed. I felt so low. Groaning, I headed towards the bathroom. It didn’t take long for me to freshen up and take a bath. By the time I came out of the bathroom, Lana was completely ready, but Aspen was no longer in the room. "She had left ahead of us." Lana stated when she saw me looking at Aspen’s bed. She looked disappointed. I was sure she must have tried to talk to that girl while I was sleeping, and as expected, Aspen might have ignored her. After last night's dinner, I never tried to talk to her, and Lana had also reduced talking to her noticing her attitude. I began to get ready. I had a habit of getting ready quickly, so it didn’t take long. But I was surprised to see how well the uniform fit me, even though it had looked big before I wore it. "It’s enchanted. It takes the size of the person who wears it for the first time after the spell." Lana said from behind me. "Witches are amazing." I said, checking my uniform in the mirror. Our cupboards had separate mirrors for each of us, which made getting ready much quicker. The uniform was nice and I really liked it. It was a navy-blue checked blazer with light brown piping, gold buttons, and the academy’s emblem on the chest. Beneath the blazer was a white shirt with a red collar. Red was the symbolic colour of our house. The outfit was paired with a pleated navy skirt, black knee-high socks, and polished black shoes, giving the uniform a charming yet formal appearance. "Now let’s go before we get late for our first class." Lana declared, grabbing her backpack. I did the same. We skipped breakfast and ate the cookies Lana had brought from home. . As soon as we came out of the building, the wind hit us. It was a sunny day, but the wind was strong. The place was almost empty since we were late. Well, after the midnight coronation ceremony, what could anyone expect from us? But it seemed we were the only ones who were late. We quickened our pace while looking around the beautiful campus. The place was so big that walking from one side to the other took a long time. After almost ten minutes of walking, we could finally see the school building. The five story building looked more like a huge palace than an academy. It had many entrances, and we were heading toward the central one. According to the map on the tablet, this was the shortest route to our classroom. It was ridiculous that we were using a map to find our classroom. But the place was huge, with so many paths and turns that one could easily get lost without a map. We finally arrived at the corridor. Our class was on the first floor, so we took the stairs. When we reached the floor, there were so many doors. "Did you check the room number?" I asked. "No." Lana shook her head. We stood near the railings to check the room number. I took off my backpack and quickly pulled my tablet out of my bag, but my diary came out with it and fell to the floor. "Oops." The pages fluttered open and a peacock feather slipped out of the diary. "Wow, it’s beautiful." Lana exclaimed, staring at the feather. "I’ll get it." She crouching down to pick it up. Just then, a strong gust of wind blew and carried the feather away. "No!" I cried. Lana raised her hands to grab it, but she couldn’t even get a hand on it. The feather slipped through the corridor railing and floated downwards through the air before finally landing on the grass. "I’m sorry. I couldn’t get it." Lana gasped in panic. She handed me the diary, and I put it in my bag. "It's okay. I’ll get it." I said with a sigh. "But we’re getting late for the class." I glanced at the tablet. Yes, we didn’t have much time. Moreover, I had to go downstairs to get the feather. If I waited until after class, it would most likely be gone. But I couldn’t lose it. "You go ahead first." "And what about you?" She asked. "I need to get it back." Just then, we saw a woman emerge from a turn in the corridor and enter a room marked 16. "Is that our class?" Lana asked. I hurriedly checked the tablet. Yes, it was indeed our class. I pushed her. "Go. I will be right back." Lana ran toward the class while I turned around and rushed downstairs. The feather was still on the grass, so I didn’t have to search for long. I quickly picked it up and secured it inside my bag before running back towards the stairs. However, at the turn of the hallway, I bumped into something solid and fell flat on the ground. When I looked up, I met a pair of intense blue eyes. Standing before me was the other Lycan prince, Draken Ironvale. His jaw was tight, and his eyes held such resentment that a shiver ran down my spine. "Look where you’re going, idiot." He said through gritted teeth. He looked furious. What? I was the one who fell and got hurt. His body was so hard it felt like I had crashed into a wall. He was like a giant, well over six foot two, while I was barely five foot six. My entire body hurt, especially where I had hit the ground. He didn’t even try to help me up. Instead, he was scolding me. I gritted my teeth, matching his glare. Yes, it was my fault, but I still didn’t like his attitude. But I chose to remain silent. I wouldn't say sorry either. He narrowed his eyes, clearly irritated by my defiance. I would have continued the staring battle, but I suddenly realized I was getting late for my first class. Averting my gaze, I quickly stood up, and ran past him towards the stairs. "Asshole." I muttered under my breath as I walked past him. I was quite sure he had heard me, but he didn’t say anything. Werewolves had sharp hearing, and he was a Lycan. Suddenly, a thought crossed my mind. Lycans were more powerful than any normal wolves, even an alpha. They were basically the upgraded version of a powerful alpha with everything more refined and stronger. So with this enhanced power, could they hear thoughts? My god. My eyes widened. That would be horrible. I shook my head. My mind always loved imagining the worst. By the time I reached my class, it had already started. Great. "May I come in, Madam?" I asked, standing at the open door. At once, every pair of eyes turned towards me, including the teacher’s.Hi, everyone. I’ve finally returned to GoodNovel with a new book, and it feels amazing. I hope you’re all doing well. I’m very excited to connect with you again, so let’s begin this journey with my first supernatural novel. I hope you enjoy it, and I’ll always be waiting for your thoughts and feedback. Thank you for reading. ❤️
[ Draken ] Vale City was known as the second capital of the Summer Kingdom. For the killer, whom we all assumed was the same person or group, to not only cross the border but also make it this far was deeply worrisome. And why the hell had no one been able to trace anything? We couldn't even identify what they were. There were no tracks, no scent, and no evidence whatsoever pointing to the culprit's identity. Judging by the state of the bodies, most people believed the attacks were the work of a vampire. Every victim had been found in the same condition, drained. Their skin was pale gray, and blackened veins spread beneath the flesh. There were deep puncture wounds on the victims' necks as well. But it made no sense. Vampires had not crossed into werewolf territory in over a century. Ever since the Blood Treaty, both races had remained within their own realms. The border was heavily guarded. Moreover, it was nearly impossible for a vampire to cross the border, remain in werewolf te
[ Draken ] The music inside the bar pounded like a heartbeat. The smell of perfume, alcohol, and sex hung thick in the air. I sat alone in the darkest corner of the private lounge with one arm resting against the leather couch while a glass of whiskey sat in my other hand. Women kept stealing glances at me from across the bar. I came here often. It was a place where everyone hid behind masks, keeping their identities a secret. Whenever I needed a woman, this was where I came. Unlike Ares, who slept with practically half the girls at the academy, I couldn't bring myself to get involved with students anymore. I used to have flings there too, but that ended badly thanks to that bastard, Ares. Since then, this place had become my escape. Even that had lessened over the past few months. There was a time when I craved a different woman in my bed every night. Maybe things changed because of the responsibilities my father, the king, had begun forcing onto my shoulders. I had one last yea
After the combat class, all of the students were told to gather in the hall where we had first assembled when we arrived at the academy. It was known as the Assembly Hall, a place where everyone was called whenever an important announcement had to be made. I couldn’t help but wonder what was so important this time. Lana, as usual, was brimming with excitement as we made our way through the hallway towards the assembly hall. Then, suddenly, I spotted Sage. She was heading towards the ladies’ washroom. "Go ahead" I said to Lana. "I’ll be there shortly." "Wait, where are you going?" she asked, but I had already turned away, hurrying after Sage. "Sage!" I called out to her, but she couldn’t hear me and turned into the hallway. I quickened my pace. The moment I turned into the hallway, I collided with someone. The impact wasn’t too hard, but it still made me stumble backwards. When I looked at the person, it was none other than Draken. My eyes widened in disbelief. Why did
It was late at night, and after returning from the dining hall, we had all settled into our beds. Now that I was alone in my bed, I picked up my phone and opened the app. Among the few books in my library, I looked at a particular cover. I tapped on it, and the book opened instantly. Scrolling to the end of the latest chapter, my eyes landed on the author's note. "Hello, my lovelies. How have you all been lately? Don’t forget to leave your comments. I’m always eager to hear from you." A small smile formed on my lips as I read the words. To everyone else, it was just another author’s note, but to me, it was a hidden message from my mother. She was a well-known fantasy novel writer, but she had kept her identity completely anonymous. Over time, we created our own secret way of communicating through cryptic messages hidden in the comment sections of her books. It sounded strange, but it was very effective and safe. Quickly, I typed a comment. "I loved the chapter. It’s amazing...
"I think we should select one species each for this project." Lana chimed in. Of course, she wasn’t someone to be left behind. I was kind of relieved that both of my partners were serious about studies and that I wouldn’t have to do everything alone. "Sure. So, what species will you choose?" Adam raised a brow at Lana. "Of course, witches," she said proudly, making Adam and me chuckle. "Of course you will." He then looked at me. "And you? What will you choose?" "What will you choose?" I asked him instead. "Umm... werewolves?" "Okay, then I choose... Demons?" "I thought you would choose vampires," Lana blurted out. "But Demons are cool as well." She grinned excitedly as if we were actually going to the realm of the Demons. "Okay, so it’s final then?" Both Lana and I nodded together. "Final." Moments later, we sat down with books on the three different species and began taking notes. .... "What’s that?" Lana asked, drawing our attention as we both turned to lo
Just as we thought we might have heard wrong, we heard it again. A girl’s yelp then the word, "please". I narrowed my eyes and, without thinking, approached the door, pushing it open. "Eloise, wait…" Lana tried to stop me, but it was too late. It was an empty classroom. At the far end of the room, a small bulb lit up a corner, leaving the rest of the space in near darkness. I clenched my jaw when I spotted them. All of their eyes were on me, but no one said anything. "What’s going on here?" I asked, stepping inside and approaching them. I noticed one thing...there was no scent. They had concealed their scent. A high bench was placed against the wall, on which Victoria and two of her lackeys sat. In front of them was the blonde girl from the canteen, the one who had raised her voice against Piper and ended up being bullied by them. Sage. Her name was Sage. She was being held down by one girl, while another stood beside her holding a marker pen. "Eloise." Lana grabbed
"Adam Reed." "Hey... our project partner," Lana whispered, nudging me as soon as Professor Rowan called Adam’s name. I nodded, my eyes following him as he stepped onto the stage. Unlike most of the other students, who were visibly tense, Adam looked almost… relaxed. Professor Rowan folded his
"You all possess gifts. These gifts are none other than powers. Some of you inherited them from your bloodlines… some have only recently awakened. Some of your powers are dangerous enough to kill you...or someone else, if mishandled. And in this class, we will learn to control those powers and awake
"Seriously? Are you seeking justice here… for an evil man?" Emily scoffed, and the class erupted into mocking laughter. I clenched my jaw. Whenever I heard this story, I always felt curious about it. Killian Bloodthorne was undoubtedly a vicious man, but I didn’t like Viv Ironvale either. Just be
I defended as Lana attacked me. She clearly didn’t know anything about sparring. Her moves were all over the place, like she was throwing her arms around aimlessly. I had no problem defending against her. Logan was looking at the girls, whereas the two Lycan princes guided the boys. After a while
