Smell of death

At the parking lot...

Lily strode to her black car. Before entering, she turned to the guards following her and ordered, “I want to be left alone. Watch over my grandfather. Tell him I won’t come home tonight.”

The guards didn’t want to obey but after thinking it through, they nodded and stepped aside.

Lily got into the car and fastened her seat belt. Just as she was about to start the car, she saw Caspian standing in front of her car. She looked through the window, Caspian’s guards and hers were in a standoff.

At this point, she knew he won’t let her drive off if he didn’t get the audience he wanted, so she unlocked the door.

When he entered the front passenger seat, Lily queried, “What are you doing?” Clearly she was displeased.

“We need to talk.”

“Schedule a meeting with the company. I don’t entertain– “

“No, Saffron, this is not about business. Five years ago– “

“It seem you won’t give up harassing me. Get down from my car, otherwise I’ll press charges for harassment.”
