“Do whatever you want to Curtis, it sounds like the bastard deserves it,” He huffed.

“Yeah, well, I don't want to be put into the pack's prison over his scummy ass,” I muttered sourly, and he nodded.

“So do I have to wait until you graduate guard training to take you out on dates, Eva?”

I glanced at him with a grin.

“You want to take me on a date?”

“Sure, I have enjoyed our time together at the park in town and your time spent at my house,” he commented yet I was skeptical.

“Why the change in tune? You were adamant about removing me from your life, Austin. Sorry if I am feeling reluctant suddenly,” I stressed.

Chewing on his lip, he exhaled sharply and said, “I like you, Eva, and there isn't any other that I want to.. let's just say that I feel that we would do well together.”

I rolled my eyes and slowly shook my head as I eyed him in befuddlement.
