The people who had contact with the person who was brought in were honestly shocked that anyone could survive whatever they had survived. The person was completely battered and bruised and extremely swollen. They were surprised that the person had a pulse, let alone rather strong one still. The doctors began a myriad of tests to try and find what exactly was wrong with them. They didn’t spare any resource they had at hand.
It wasn't until about two hours after the fact that they realized they were in over their heads. They had run Xrays and even the MRI and cat scan on the person and realized that there was a lot more damage than they thought that they could possibly take care of. However, one doctor knew that they had to operate extremely quickly to be able to give this person a chance at survival. They had severe internal bleeding. The bleeding was happening very slowly, so they had time to figure everything out. They did have a surgeon on call, and they woke him up and had him come in and evaluate the situation. He was even more surprised that the person had managed to survive whatever they had survived. Their body was nothing more than broken and bruised. They didn't know it was a female until after the Xrays came back. They just thought it was an extremely small male or a teenager.
The tiny woman had a total of 7 broken bones and three spots of internal bleeding. The surgeon immediately ran her into surgery, and after a few hours later, they were able to stop the bleeding. They were going to have to wait until the swelling went down to be able to cast the broken bones. Though they had set them during surgery now, they just needed to wait until everything calmed down for her. Surprisingly through everything, her life signs were extremely strong.
On the outside, it was clear to see that she was dehydrated and also probably starved. The woman had probably gone days without fresh water or any type of food except the smallest amount. Her feet were cut. Though she did have shoes on, her legs and arms were full of splinters. Her head had been hit a couple of times rather hard on both sides. The surgeon was surprised she didn't suffer a lot of massive brain damage. However, they weren't exactly sure how she was going to respond when she woke up. That was when they called Benton in to discuss what was going to be done with her.
She was in the best hands as the only patient. The condition of her was bad but there was hope she would make a full recovery. One doctor was calling out to others not at the base to consult if they needed it.
“I told security that I wanted hourly updates on the condition of the intruder,” he said when he walked in and saw that she was a little more cleaned up but had quite a few ivs and everything else as she was the only patient they had. She had monitors surrounding her though he didn't even know it was her yet.
“I know, Sir. But honestly, updating you every hour with not something that we could do when we were dealing with emergency surgery and all the testing that was being done.” The surgeon replied in a monotone voice.
“Surgery? All the testing? What did you find?” Benton asked as he was now rather impatient with having somebody explained to him that they were too busy to do exactly what he said. He was going to remind them that they could easily be replaced at any given time. However, they had managed to say whatever was going to be the thing that caught his attention.
“Our patient had quite a bit of internal bleeding in the abdomen. We had to run quite a few external tests such as Xrays, cat scans, and an MRI. We needed to get the imaging to be able to see what was broken and what was not. That's how we caught the internal bleeding. We managed to rush and surgery, and we fixed it. At the moment, she's looking a lot better. Her vitals are strong, and it looks like within time show probably make a full recovery with possibly one exception.” the surgeon said as he looked at the patient and saw that Benton was also looking at the patient.
“She?” Benson was surprised because he honestly thought that it was going to be a young male who was trying to break in. That seems something that a young man would do, not a female. Though he could probably see that she was young, she wasn't a teenager. This was starting to not make sense at all to Benton, and that bothered him more than anything else. Everything had to fit into a box with him most of the time.
“Our patient is a female. By the age of her bones and her skeletal structure, I would probably guesstimate her age to be somewhere in her early to mid20s. She's in pretty good health despite how she looks at the moment. We managed to set all of the broken bones at least within the area of margin. Will probably have to redo that later as well when we can cast are. However, right now, we can't. Her entire body is too swollen and severely dehydrated, and probably undernourished as well. One of the ideas that we have is giving her the nutrients that she needs along with extra Iv fluid so we can boost all of that, and then the swelling will probably go down. She's on multiple different types of painkillers. Whatever this young girl went through, she's lucky to be alive.” the surgeon said as he looked over the man that was in front of him.
Benton had to take everything that the surgeon that they had brought in to deal with the medical bay issue and the intruder. He knew that the industries that were his family's company always had competition trying to scout out what they were doing. There was no way that he could know if this person was a spy or not until they figured out what was going on with them. Where is Benton knew that he wanted to make sure that the person received medical treatment, he also knew that he couldn't get it all for the person until they could figure everything out as to who the person was and every bit of their identity.
As the person just laid there in the bed, not moving or showing any signs of consciousness, he had to wonder who she was? It wasn't like something that one of the rival companies wouldn't be sending a small woman to try and scout something out and use their sex appeal to get to him. That wouldn't be completely out of the ordinary; however, he had not heard of anyone trying to do that. He had picked up on a few other things that he needed to discuss with the surgeon just to make sure that he had everything correct in his own mind when it came to this person who was unidentified able at the moment. They couldn't even run facial recognition because they were so bruised and battered. Fingerprints would be the next thing that they could run, but they were going to have to wait again just so her hands were not swollen. Finding out who she was the number one priority for him.
“You said that she had a few other issues,” Benton stated as he was trying to process everything that the doctor had just told him. He was not facing the men and looking at him. There was something that most people didn't even get when it came to talking to him. Benton had a reputation of not seemingly caring about most people. One of the richest men in the world, and then it almost seemed like he had no interpersonal skills. Most people just felt happy to be in the same room as him, as if either his money or his intellect would be the thing that would make them rise up like a phoenix. He hated that more than anything. “She has massive brain bleeding. Whatever happened to her, she hit her head quite a few times. There's no actual telling until she wakes up what the damage was.” The doctor said as he leveled a stare at Benton. “What is the cause of her injuries?” Benton asked as he looked at the girl. He was not curious because there was
Though she couldn't open her eyes, she knew that she was laying in a bed. She didn't know she knew that or what even a bed really was. She couldn't remember everything that was going on around her period. She remembered being outside. That's when she started to really think and almost began to panic internally. She had no idea who she was. She had no idea where she was. Everything that was running her was foreign, and she had no idea what it was there for in the first place. There was a lot going on around her, and she could hear various people in the background, but she still couldn't open her eyes just yet. The people that were there didn't seem to notice that she was any different, so she just laid there perfectly still. There was a sense of panic that was pumping through every one of her veins. Being where she was, she had to think that she was safe even though she really didn't know anything that was going on around
Despite the amount of medication the doctors had been pumping her full of, she managed to start to wake up without them even realizing it. When a nurse came into the room that she had been placed in, even though it was highly monitored with the guards and even the doctors and staff of the Medical Center. She was slightly surprised to see the girl there with her eyes completely wide open. “Where am I?” the girl managed to ask, and she looked at the nurse, who was about ready to drop the tray of medications. She was clearly surprised and even shocked to the point that she was embarrassed. “You need to hold on one moment. I need to get one of the doctors in here. You should not be awake right now.” center sign she placed the tray down and then quickly ran out of the room, and then there was another high pitch sound that echoed through the area. She didn't know what the noise was. There was nothing there before
“Mr. Danielson, Sir, I explained to you that she might not be able to truly communicate anything right off the bat when she did wake up. It seems that my suspicions were confirmed. I believe that she has amnesia from whatever hit her head. Those bruising and the swelling in her brain had gone down enough to not be life threatening anymore. It is still a huge issue. As of right now, I don't believe that she can remember anything. She doesn't know her own name at the moment.” the doctor said as he looked at the man who is just staring at her. “Are there any tests that we can run to make sure that she's telling the truth? How do we honestly know that she can't remember anything? she could easily be here to sabotage something.” Benton said as he looked at her knowing that there was nothing in her eyes that showed any recognition of him or the facility. He was staring at her, and though he didn't wanna seem cold and calculating right now, he was too
Unfortunately for Benton, his housing compound and mountain base were being used by his sister and her friends, who were trying to get his attention. He was also dealing with the fact that he was so close even though he know he needed to take a break. He wasn't interested in anyone that his sister was going to bring over, and somehow she managed to convince him to allow her to throw a few dinner parties. At least while she was there. Then he had the mysterious stranger who was in the medical Bay who still was under watch, knowing that she could possibly be somebody there to infiltrate the lab. However, she still had not shown any sign that she was trying to do anything. She was either the most patient person on the planet, or she was somebody who had suffered a tragic accident. The trace analysis, was coming back later today, and he was going down to the lab to see what the results were, and this was the one time i
He walked into the main dining hall that had been decked out with fresh flowers and even probably close to 1000 candles. He had to wonder if his sisters thought that this would work. As if trying to set a mood that he wasn't in the mood to even remotely talk to anybody, let alone meet the person that he was supposed to stay with. This wasn't the way to do it. He took one look at everyone that was in the room waiting for him to join them before they started having dinner and knew that this night was going to be nothing more than a headache. At this point, he was looking forward to somebody trying to interrupt the night with some information. Even though he had specifically told everybody that he would be busy for the evening dealing with his mother and sisters and, of course, all the extra eligible females that were waiting to bat their eyes. They had all looked at him like he was nothing more than a giant piece of meat that had a
Benton walked briskly to the medical facility. It wasn't that far, but it was far enough where it would take him a few minutes to get there. As you walk down the hall, he could hear everything starting to get a little bit more pronounced. Something was going on, and he wasn't exactly sure what. Whatever, it sounded like it wasn't that good. He was absolutely sure that he wasn't going to enjoy having to deal with whatever he was walking into. One of the doctors was yelling, and some of the nurses as well. But he didn't know who they were yelling at, and it seemed as if it was getting louder as he was getting closer, but it wasn't because of the distance. It was because of whatever the situation was, the doctor absolutely adamant for somebody to get out of the area. Benton stopped for a minute and tried to piece together what he could already hear coming from the medical Bay. He thought it would probably be best if he took a moment to lis
Benton followed the doctor out into the hallway. It was one of the very few times that somebody was going to lead him around. He wasn't the submissive type. He was usually the most dominant male in the room, period. However, he did trust the doctor, and he would follow him. That was just something that was going to happen. Otherwise, he wouldn't be working there. “The patient exhibits some kind of PTSD towards the water. Something very bad happened to her. The only time that we can understand what is going on with her is when she's asleep. Right now, she's talking in her sleep period. She keeps mentioning Josh, but we don't know who that is. Neither does she. She seems confused when we mention that name. However, when it's time to get water near her as we need to cleanse and bathe certain areas to make sure that no infection sets in, we have a huge issue with her, and it's the only time that we have any type o
